      Me either! She is beyond phenomenal! I am always listening to this piece; also her performance of Mozart's Concerto 20. Magnificent!

    What a fantastic, fabulous performance! I was glued to the chair through the whole concerto. As another viewer also noted, the ending is superb. Congratulations Yeol.

    Well, so here's the 2nd Part of this marvelous concerto that she plays like nobody else can, with such authority, grace, delicacy and magnificent technique. She's young enough to be my granddaughter. Hurray for Yeo Eum-a.

    This Asian Lady in every second acts so "urgent" - no moment is lost! I love this interpretation of an opus that ist not one of the most important in musical history: But I'm listening to Ms. Son - she has the right feeling for this music! Thanks for uploading!

    What a fantastic advertisement for South Korea! Apart from being a wonderful pianist, she has impeccable manners and even walks perfectly! She is almost too good to be true, almost but not quite!

    Wow! Great play! Miss Eum Son brings in an ethereal sweetness that is her very own feeling, and I personally think it is as beautiful as the much more dramatic pathos Chopin probably intended here. Then this is a score for virtuosi only, but Yeol Eum more than proves to be one of the very few.

    She is one of extremely few young generation of pianists who has viceral impact of interpretation and able to immerse her self into this Chopin master piece. Reminds me of Martha Argerich.

    • @dansingmuch
      @dansingmuch 3 года назад +3

      Martha Argerich is a wonderful pianist, but she shouldn't be placed in Yeol Eum's league. Yeol Eum is like nobody else --- a pianist who is the finest of this part of the 21st century, male or female.

    I am also impressed by the clarity of her playing and the 'honesty' (conscience of the music as it is without peculiar personal contaminants). Reminds me somewhat of Yundi Li...

    her music is so honest, has much less pain than most Russian school pianists. i prefer her performance. a blend of Cortot's lightness could make this perfect, but every personal interpretation deserves her respect.

    If she won the silver medal, who was the gold medal winner. She's simply superb. I love her interpretation of Chopin. Almost poetic and heavenly. I don't know whether she is in the same class as as Yundi Li. I always love Zareh Darakjian's comments. Dr Terrence Jayatilaka

      The Gold is almost always given to someone who least deserves it, at the Cliburn. It's not a fair competition by any means.

    'Sublime' is the word that comes to mind, particularly the 2nd movement. And who couldn't have their spirits uplifted by the dancing 3rd movement? As good an all-around performance as I'm ever likely to hear. (It's such a shame about the coughing ... )
