At last! A young pianist who doesn't crash and bang her way through Chopin. What an exquisite, lovely sound she produces. For those who seem to prefer the harsh, over-the-top shredding of so many other players desperate to make their "mark", listen again to the fantastic balance and tasteful subtlety of this fine player's performance.
Hearing and seeing performances such as this makes me feel sorry for those people who have not yet discovered classical music. I keep coming back to this one.......
Music is a form of art . Music has many many genres. People enjoy differently. There are many many forms of art in this world . One may not discover all of them . People could say the same thing to other people too .
These concerts are wonderful. A gift to all of us during unpleasant times. People who want to give beauty rather than create unrest and ugly controversy
It is not the times that are "unpleasant", it is all the mob that give up their freedom and agree to be fastened under the yoke of the most absurd of dictatorships.
Again we can see (as in Beethoven's 5th) that Ms Gómez Lasheras' trademark is making her piano sing wonderfully, not rushing through the score. She make sure all notes and chords are well balanced; there is plenty of subtlety in this interpretation; thank you for sharing this video.
Oh my god, I weep with emotion at the delicate touch and the beauty of the sound, this young person will certainly grow up to be one of the great ones on the concert stage.
I listen to piano music all the time for over 60 years and I think of all the composers Chopin is truly the poet of the piano at times it almost he sounds like he's speaking
Who is this wonderful lady! Such a deep sense of communication with the composer, Chopin. She is a treasure beyond belief. A true gift of talent for playing the piano.
Some people just can't appreciate each persons individual unique talent without having to take it to the extreme of how something is supposed to sound. We don't question a jazz players interpretation..You just have to feel. And this girl is gorgeous and super friggin talented..
Just 19 (nineteen) years old and such greatness! All the happiness and luck, for the benefit too of all music lovers Ms. Lasheras! I Loved your interpretation....BRAVA!

I have yet to find another performance that portrays Chopin's fabulous sound as much as Rosalia does. Others could be better than her in techniques, but I really love her touch that never fails to express a beautiful sound.
Such brilliant musicality is difficult for us mere mortals to understand - how a pianist can perform such a complicated piece with such rapid notes and not miss any? And, do all that from memory, end-to-end, the whole multi-movement piece? Totally marvelous! Thank you for doing all this fine work, and for posting this video! Yes, bravisima!

‘Limits in her dynamic range’? Wish I had such limits! Touching performance of one of the great piano concertos ever. Richness of orchestra adds so much to the sounds of the piano; how did the masters Chopin, Beethoven, Brahms, Tchaikovsky and Rachmaninoff ever write these wonderful pieces? Listening to the orchestral players lead and follow the beautiful miss and the maestro is mind boggling. What coordination and temperament all at once! The buildup to the conclusion is unimaginable. Bravo to all!
I've listened to this years ago, and it still sounds wonderful. Time hasn't changed it's beauty one bit. Except for the overly ornate passages, it could have been a masterpiece.
Rosalía Gómez .... she was born in Santiago de Compostela in 1994. Rosalía starts her piano studies at age 5 with Alexander Gold and María José Cerviño. In 2011, after receiving the Extraordinary Award of Santiago Conservatory, she moved to The Netherlands in order to study Bachelor Degree at Utrecht Conservatory with Professor Alan Weiss. At the moment she lives in Switzerland, where she studies 1º year of Master in Performance at Basel Musik Akademie with Professor Claudio Martínez Mehner. Her development was enriched by the advice of musicians such as Kennedy Moretti, Jerome Rose, Eldar Nebolsin, Lilya Zilberstein, Fou Ts’ong, Menahem Pressler, Galina Egyarzarova, Dimitri Bashkirov, Andras Schiff and Elisabeth Leonskaja, among others. After performing in the main cities in Spain and winning well-know competitions such as the XVI Infanta Cristina Piano Competition (Madrid, 2012), the XV Cicle de Primavera (Barcelona, 2012), and the Chopin Award at the VII Alto Minho Piano Competition (Portugal, 2010), etc.; her career’s international breakthrough led her to several stages in The Netherlands, Austria, Portugal, Belgium, Germany, Russia, Egypt and the USA.
Loved her performance!! I believe this young lady has lots of talent, and hopefully will get a few breaks to launch her career. I can't imagine the dedication, sheer work and will that led up to this competition. Hope she won! Bet her family is proud.
Wonderful interpretation of Chopin´s masterpiece, very fine musicians, you have to be a genius on your instrument, to even play this music, thank you for posting this beautiful musical art!...:-)...and very fine film making as well, very well done!...:-)
My goodness, what a superb and outstanding rendition!!! What a perfect sound and touch this pianist has! Una virtuosa. It is one of the best performances of this masterpiece concerto that I've heard so far. Perfect live recording and superb conducting!!The cameraman a total idiot. He had no idea of what he was doing.
I have seen this performance many times, when you feel down a little bit or much is good to see her and listen to the music, you feel rejuvenated. I think she is very beautiful, but it is more internal than external beauty, it is a gift of God and a fruit of practice humility and good karma. I hope that she can do good to humanity by her music and good qualities. Music really has a healing function we need in this difficult time and age. Rosalia is really blessed and also full of the best music flowing out to us who need it.
Ceases to amaze me 20:41 how Rosalia moves her fingers so elegantly precisely and plays Chopin Piano Cencerto by striking each key with the utmost dedication and love she is undoubtly heaven sent as a muscian coupled with a wonderful performance by the Orchestra. Its prefection. MUI BIEN.
I am moved and impressed by the piano playing of this young woman...I cannot read any language but English, unfortunately, and I am assuming from some comments she has received negative reviews. This makes me sad as she is exceptionally gifted and sensitive in her interpretation...

She is so aware of her 'surroundings'. I see her constantly look around herself. I was never a big fan of Chopin until this 'broadcast'. Thank you for sharing.
I like the more poetic approach she takes especially in the arpeggio section of the development at 9:23 . Most pianists rip through this in an effort to show off their technique. It's not necessary. The writing is fluid enough to stand on its own merits. The Larghetto is one of the nicest on RUclips. Her arpeggio passages ripple flawlessly. The middle recitativo might be too sleepy for some but I enjoyed it. On the whole, an exceptional performance by a very talented and, as one guy below in love with her noted, very lovely pianist. __J Joe (also a composer of a neo-Romantic Piano Concerto No 2 in C Minor here on RUclips).
I agree on the section at 9:23. I could suddenly here the orkest playing WITH the pianist i/o only the pianist showing off. What's the sound at 10:10? A mishap or just a dissonant? The ending note just doesn't sound right to me.
A great pianist. Rosalia Gomez brought the great Chopin on stage. A good perfomer does not need theatrical tricks and sex appealing. She promises a lot for the future of the music. I hope I will see more of her.
Rosalia is beautiful and feminine also. Yet, she does not need to show it off. That is her private business and no one else s business. She wants to be a pure musician for the public; and she does it perfectly.
well clearly thats all your thinking about if you need to write two comments about the same thing. She's hardly going to go on stage with her titties out
I think this young lady is an awesome musician and deserves the efforts she has worked for! It is nerve wracking to be where she is! I will most certainly keep a watch and listen for her in other videos!👍❤️🎭🎶🌹🎼🎵
Excellent interpretation of Chopin #2 piano concert. The people that commented on her face or other things but the music are way off. Chopin #2 Piano concert is not very popular and probably the people that commented in a negative way is the first time that herd it. The interpretation was top notch and over the top. Bravo Rosalia Gomez.
If music be the food of love then play on. Such is the beauty of Rosalia Gomez playing this wonderful Chopin Piano Concerto. The world needs more of this music, Peace and Love.
not everybody appreciates this music you are fortunate to understand it I have inherited my understanding of this music from my grandparents and their ancestors my grandmother who was German was Julliard trained playing Schubert preludes and great grandfather was a professional pianist and he was Polish was the resident pianist at Luchow's in Manhattan I believe he was Jewish
The contrast between the graceful touch of high keys and the grave touch of low keys is remarkable. The well-restrained accompaniment by the orchestra is also noteworthy.
The Piano Concerto No. 2 in F minor, Op. 21, is a piano concerto composed by Frédéric Chopin in 1829. Chopin composed the piece before he had finished his formal education, at around 20 years of age. It was first performed on 17 March 1830, in Warsaw, Poland, with the composer as soloist. Rosalía Gómez Lasheras (born 1994, in Santiago de Compostela) is a Spanish pianist. She studied at Santiago Conservatory, and at Utrecht Conservatory (The Conservatorium is a Conservatory of Music in Utrecht, Netherlands- opened in 1875 and is one of the eldest professional musical education institutes). In 2013 she won the Young Pianist Foundation competition. -Wikipedia

Yeah, some sound as if they're using hammers to play!
I have not heard anyone play this concerto better than Andre Watts. But she did a great job no doubt.

I did not know that angels fallen from the highest could play piano like this, Miss Rosalía. Outstanding, girl, outstanding!!
Not only does this beautiful woman's playing ability amaze me, but she does it from memory. I feel so small next to talents such as these.

Gracias.
25:53 her face over that brass note miss. Priceless.
Great show too, by the way.
she understands Chopin's music extremely well.. what a performance.
# Attractiveness of live venue video, # piano, # pianist, # performance speed of songs is the fastest. # Realism, # camera division and cut division, several parts including 1st movement camera division and cut division 0: 12 seconds, 0: 24 seconds, 0: 29 seconds, piano performance 2: 49 seconds, overlap 3: 14 seconds, several places including camera split 3:35 seconds, 2nd movement 14:23 seconds, 🎹The performance of the piano player is wonderful, including the strength of the performance and the nuances of the symbols. There are 8 types of dynamic symbols, 2 types of symbols that change the dynamic, and the score of multiple TV camera switching operators and the camera split video of the switcher that allows you to read the score are wonderful. In addition, the red color of the wonderful off-the-shoulder dress 🟥 is passion, vitality, energy, 🙌👍❤️ Thank you very much. 😊

That french horn in 29:50. I've been laughing for minutes. Anyway, excellent interpretation of the piece
It was absolutely perfect until then, I cannot imagine the anxiety
