Thanks for explaining your work flow! Very helpful.
Glad it helps!
I have the sandisk, one terabyte extreme pro and have used it for at least six months and love it! Super super fast. And cheap. You are right, I wish I had gone with the 4 TB from the start.
Your comments about the MacBook laptops give me cause to consider switching from a Dell with a Ryzen 5 processor and 16GB of RAM next time I update equipment. It seems that when you are doing your tutorials, pulling the photos from Lightroom to Photoshop goes a lot faster than what I see on my laptop (if you are showing that action in real-time!). I wonder if a PC product in that same price range with 32GB of RAM would run as fast? Like you switching from Android to Apple iPhone, I've used exclusively PC products since the early 80's.
Your suggestions about the filing of photos caught my attention. I use a similar system with each property arranged under the realtors in folders. I found that I was needing to create a set of similar folders for each project, so I created a set of empty folders that I copy at the beginning of each project: RAW photos, drone photos, edited photos ready for uploading, video walkthrough clips, video project files, video finals, drone video, compiled brackets (when doing HDR).
Thank you for your continuing efforts to share your tips with us!!!
Thank you for your comment. No, I edit out the time it takes you move photos from lightroom to photoshop but the process only takes about 10 seconds. I think RAM is RAM and what really helps is having a fast processor too with enough free hand drive space also. Many factors play a role in how fast a computer runs, but the more powerful PC will always be better....usually.
For HDR you want a CPU with many cores.
Question, can you point me to your handle/strap setup on your AD600? I'll use an affiliate link if you have one. Thanks!
I made a video on how I did it. Here it is:

Hi Joe, great video was always. I’m a huge fan of everything apple, I’m using the 14 inch MacBook Pro M1 with 16 gigs of ram and it’s not enough. I wish so much I got the 32 gigs, with Lightroom and Photoshop running plus my Internet accounts I’m always using, 14 GB of RAM. It slows way down. Unfortunately with Apple, you cannot change it after you bought it. So I highly recommend your viewers is to buy the 32 gig. Other than that M1 chip runs fine.😅
Awesome. Thank you for explaining this!!!
M2 and M3 processors just came out as well.
I did see the M2 version after I already posted this video. M3 sounds awesome too!
Hey Joe, do you know if this flash and trigger will work with lumix g7?
Yes it will.
And I have a one terabyte storage on my MacBook.
That's always nice! I have to remember to delete stuff about once a month or it starts getting bogged down.
