Misty I loved this pattern I have used it to make 3 different color ways king size. They are so beautiful. Thank you for showing me how to make this quilt.
Thank you for this tutorial, Misty. You make it look like a very doable project. And I like your suggestion of doing a star or two and then just getting on with your day. Nice way to start my day, being creative.
Good ole HST!!! I’ve become addicted to them for some strange reason and I’m always looking for ways to use them! I’m finally (more or less!) getting better at sewing them - although to be honest, I can sew them together by hand so much easier for me! I know “hand” is a 4-letter word but this is the way I learned to piece way back in 1979 when I first discovered quilting! But I know I will probably be using one of my collection of sewing machine anyway😃😃😃
Thanks Misty. I saw the triple play and love it. I've learned to make stars..it's east. Love your runner. My daughter asked me yesterday to teach her to sew. I said yes or course. We are going to have fun.. 🙏🤗💛❤
Misty, this is so fun. I am excited to try the runner. It may be a while to get to the quilt. I have a ton of projects that i bought at Birthday Bash. We had a blast. Thank you for sharing this with us 🎉😊🤟💖🙏🍀🌹
I just had an epiphany, I was halfway watching and then I backed up the video to see how the stars were cut OMG this may sound stupid but I didn’t realize it’s all half square triangles. I now cannot wait to make my very own table runner then maybe tackle the quilt!!! Thank you so much for the instruction and inspiration.
Nice table runner project. Thanks for taking a quilt pattern and demonstrating how to make a table runner out of it. I have wanted to do this with other patterns, but was unsure if it would turn out. And I really like the fabric you chose.
There should be a warning come up on the screen when you forget to lower your dual feed lever into the back of the foot so it sew properly. Lovely runner!
I’ve grown in this area and my blocks are much more accurate! Finding the 1/4” mark…and sticking with it…really helped. I also had to realize that piecing quilts is a marathon for me, not a race…most of the time. 😂
I, too love stars - and I’ve thought of a different way to use table runners than on a table! Our front door is heavy metal (should be a sing!!) so I blight a magnetic curtain rod for the inside of the door - a perfect place to hang narrower quilted pieces! We don’t have a use for table runners anymore and our DIL “decorates” in a special way🫢🫢 so I’m afraid of making things for her in beautiful fabrics like these!
You can pop the stitches before the seam and spin them. This will allow the seam to lay up on one side and down the other side. I do this on all if my blocks.
Hi Misty, I love your instructions and the colors you use while making a quilt. All are so beautiful. However, I very much like the white quilt that you have cover yourself before you start the instructions in this video. Do you have a pattern for it and where can I find this pattern. Thank you for taking time to explain in detailed all your patterns.
A great idea which is a good scrappy project and easy to adjust in size . A runner can be made wider if you add a border or even make smaller table toppers/squares so very versatile. I do have one request though. Can you please clear some of the area where you are demonstrating moving the finished runner away so the work area is clearer? That rotary cutter is far too close to finished blocks and the finished runner and please remind newer quilters to close the cutter. Even a blunt blade can do a lot of damage when it meets our body.
Is it a light print? Just make sure yo have enough cotrast between that and the fabric you are using for the stars. Best way to do that is to take a black and white picture on your phone of the material you plan on using. this really helps with determing contrast. Hope that helps.
I love watching your tutorials, you are so good at explaining. Love the runner and want to do that small quilt on the wall behind you at the end of the tutorial, please tell me what pattern and if there is a tutorial for it.
I love stars! I’m lazy! I’ll make a quilt out of the large stars!
They have a tutorial for that called Dashing Stars!
@@beckyvillines1613Thanks for the name reminder - I probably have the pattern, I just forget names🫢🫢🫢

Wonderful! I often have problems lining the pieces up. Suppose I “just” need to be more careful with my sewing!! 😢

It's beautiful. Are there any tips for pressing so that star centres are flat

❤
Question Misty: what number foot are you using on your Bernette?
At the end of the tutorial there is a star small quilt on the wall, what is that pattern and do you have a tutorial for that?
If i used a white printed background, would the stars get lost? 🤔 I'm trying to use stash fabric.
Is it a light print? Just make sure yo have enough cotrast between that and the fabric you are using for the stars. Best way to do that is to take a black and white picture on your phone of the material you plan on using. this really helps with determing contrast. Hope that helps.
@@suehudson7777 oh, I always forget the b/w picture trick! Thanks!

Would love to have measurements for this in a pdf. :)
They have a pattern for sale in the shop
You can find the PDF here on our blog: www.missouriquiltco.com/blogs/missouri-star-quilting-tutorials/star-dancer-table-runner?Social&
Where can I get the pattern please
You can find the Star Dancer table runner on our website or with this link: www.missouriquiltco.com/search?q=star%20dancer
Wish it had the steps written out to download...it's to hard to follow and remember.
If you click on the “more” button and scroll down a bit it will say “ transcript “. You should be able to follow along with that.
They want you to buy the pattern.

Like the pattern but your volume was way to low. I've noticed it on others you've made too.
My volume is fine.
I like the fabric choices! Surely it's all about taste? No right or wrong!
I have never felt that.
