Good morning folks. This is just what I needed to hear this morning. Kind of reminds me to let go of the things that are beyond my control and let God handle them. That being said, have a fantastic Monday and remember to Let It Be.
PAUL McCARTNEY: "I was going through a really difficult time around the autumn of 1968. It was late in the Beatles’ career and we had begun making a new album, a follow-up to the “White Album.” As a group we were starting to have problems. I think I was sensing the Beatles were breaking up, so I was staying up late at night, drinking, doing drugs, clubbing, the way a lot of people were at the time. I was really living and playing hard. The other guys were all living out in the country with their partners, but I was still a bachelor in London with my own house in St. John’s Wood. And that was kind of at the back of my mind also, that maybe it was about time I found someone, because it was before I got together with Linda. So, I was exhausted! Some nights I’d go to bed and my head would just flop on the pillow; and when I’d wake up I’d have difficulty pulling it off, thinking, “Good job I woke up just then or I might have suffocated": Then one night, somewhere between deep sleep and insomnia, I had the most comforting dream about my mother, who died when I was only 14. She had been a nurse, my mum, and very hardworking, because she wanted the best for us. We weren’t a well-off family- we didn’t have a car, we just about had a television - so both of my parents went out to work, and Mum contributed a good half to the family income. At night when she came home, she would cook, so we didn’t have a lot of time with each other. But she was just a very comforting presence in my life. And when she died, one of the difficulties I had, as the years went by, was that I couldn’t recall her face so easily. That’s how it is for everyone, I think. As each day goes by, you just can’t bring their face into your mind, you have to use photographs and reminders like that. So in this dream twelve years later, my mother appeared, and there was her face, completely clear, particularly her eyes, and she said to me very gently, very reassuringly: “LET IT BE.” It was lovely. I woke up with a great feeling. It was really like she had visited me at this very difficult point in my life and gave me this message: Be gentle, don’t fight things, just try and go with the flow and it will all work out. So, being a musician, I went right over to the piano and started writing a song: “When I find myself in times of trouble, Mother Mary comes to me”… Mary was my mother’s name… “Speaking words of wisdom, let it be.” There will be an answer, let it be.” It didn’t take long. I wrote the main body of it in one go, and then the subsequent verses developed from there: “When all the broken-hearted people living in the world agree, there will be an answer, let it be.” I thought it was special, so I played it to the guys and ’round a lot of people, and later it also became the title of the album, because it had so much value to me, and because it just seemed definitive, those three little syllables. Plus, when something happens like that, as if by magic, I think it has a resonance that other people notice too. Not very long after the dream, I got together with Linda, which was the saving of me. And it was as if my mum had sent her, you could say".
nycinstyle Oh this was just so amazing, I can´t even describe my feelings. All their songs have some particular meaning and it´s just mindblowing, I love that so much.Every song has its own story, every single word has its meaning and all their songs are extremely touchy and have impact of my whole life. I love the Beatles and Paul, oh Paul is just outstanding person, he is truly one of the greatest men ever lived. I am terrified of the fact that one day, this amazing wonderful talented person will not be with us anymore and I have no idea how the world is gonna cope with it.
When I find myself in times of trouble Mother Mary comes to me Speaking words of wisdom, let it be And in my hour of darkness She is standing right in front of me Speaking words of wisdom, let it be Let it be, let it be Let it be, let it be Whisper words of wisdom, let it be And when the broken-hearted people Living in the world agree There will be an answer, let it be For though they may be parted There is still a chance that they will see There will be an answer, let it be Let it be, let it be Let it be, let it be Yeah, there will be an answer, let it be Let it be, let it be Let it be, let it be Whisper words of wisdom, let it be Let it be, let it be Ah, let it be, yeah, let it be Whisper words of wisdom, let it be And when the night is cloudy There is still a light that shines on me Shine on until tomorrow, let it be I wake up to the sound of music, Mother Mary comes to me Speaking words of wisdom, let it be Let it be, let it be Let it be, yeah, let it be Oh, there will be an answer, let it be Let it be, let it be Let it be, yeah, let it be Whisper words of wisdom, let it be

That is one of the greatest songs of rock history along with Led Zeppelin's Stairway to Heaven, Rolling Stone's Paint it Black, Pink Floyd's Comfortably Numb, Doors' People are Strange and Justin Bieber's Baby.

This song along with , Hey Jude and Yesterday always remind me of my childhood friend who passed away. We were a bunch of Puerto Rican kids growing up in the South Bronx during the 80's. Somehow he always listened to these songs while the rest of us listened to Hip Hop. He died back in 1988 and since then I have learned from listening to these songs that he was so ahead of his time. I miss you Noel~!
A younger GCD was there in the Cavern Liverpool at the start of the sounds in the early 60's watching this a amazing group & many others like the Beatles. Yes! Was there in the middle & at the end......just to mention folks called into the Cavern Matthew Street Liverpool yesterday afternoon 27th Nov 2014 whilst killing time, to watch a young guy playing the Beatles sounds....Enjoyed the time there, nothing like live music.. Happy days & memories. Gordon xx Let it be!!!
Me taking a test: *gets to a question I don't know the answer to* hmm what would the Beatles do? Paul McCartney: let it B, oh let it B Me: ok! *marks B as answer* *gets back test later* test: 100%! Me: /. .\ U Thank you Beatles!!!
Fun little Beatles fact, at 3:09 its non other than Linda McCartney at the top of the vocal harmony. Paul Couldn't quite hit that note, so he asked his girlfriend at the time to sing it. Linda didn't know how to sing, so Paul showed her the note, and there you have it!! A beautiful vocal section, backing the chorus. :)

I'm an a 11 year old who loves Rock music (and I absolutely love The Beatles) and absolutely HATES pop music. Now someone tell me that's a break through.
+ElpincheJO Just remember, terrorist attacks happen everywhere around the world. Mexico is a prime example of that. Do not be fooled. Just because the media likes to focus on ISIS doesn't mean other organizations don't exist. I'd go as far as to say that the cartel is MUCH worse than ISIS, if you look at what they do.
+CrazyeyesDark Yes but mexico is gnaw by gangs & cartel & corruption, it's not our fault is the country don't do anything, in france there's no shootout every day.
ElpincheJO Then I don't think we should focus strictly on France. Actually, terrorist attacks are nearly meaningless when you compare them to the amount of murders every year.
A big thank you to my late grandmother, whose name incidentally if was Mary. This song always gets to me as it wasn't allowed to be played at her funeral but we played it at her wake.
Feeling sad tonight knowing how all the lives of the Beatles have wound up. I think if we live long enough most of us end up having sadness and grief .......... but I am especially sad for Paul........and wishing him a Happy New Year with new and happy beginnings. He is such a dear person.
i first heard`` Let it be Me``in 1969,right there n then i decided to play guitar and sing,46 years later n to-day i`m still doing that, there times i was tired, down n out but Let it be always bring me back, lot`s of great songs in the world today,to me Let it Be my all time favorite ,,thannx Beatles,,,respectz!!!!!
I'm 50, and still love the Beatles. So many wonderful songs. They did not have to dress like crap, and only sing one type of song. "Mother Mary comforts me.."
Where's music now? Music disappeared long time ago...from time to time there is some band or musician that surprises. Back then, there was music all around, something beautiful...
HiTasty I didn't say it was all bad. I agree with you: it's just rare. Very rare! But that depends on the taste of everyone. It's rare for me to listen to songs after the 90's.
3 years ago, I was walking along the hallway, when I stubbed my toe. As i lay there, moaning like a little child, my mother came to me, and said to me, "Let it be.". Tears rolled down my eyes, and i felt liberated from the pain. And, now, I'm still alive and kicking. Kicking the table.
Essa musica é tão perfeita , uma sensação de paz inexplicável . Pena que hoje em dia os jovens não dão valor a boa musica .. eu apesar de ser fã do One Direction .. amo ouvir Beatles , Michael Jackson ..
That was the best of times and at the same time it was the worst. Because i knew that everything around me in the 1960s was just to good to last the cars were a work of art the music was as if it was talking to you and how you felt. It is almost imposable to have a group of people to come together and make something happen that was so great that it will be years before something as good comes along. Thanks to these guys they made that happen for a lot of people around the world.i just wish George and John was still around to see what they did for us.
Today marks 50 years since The Beatles sealed their name in the record books.
April 4, 1964: The Fab Four landed the top five slots on Billboard's Hot 100 ranking - a feat no artist has ever repeated.
I love you beatles, its a shame i couldn't of met you all.
I felt like I knew them just through their music. RIP John & George. You are truly missed.

Thanks so much for sharing his story. It is quite comforting.

When I find myself in times of trouble
Mother Mary comes to me
Speaking words of wisdom, let it be
And in my hour of darkness
She is standing right in front of me
Speaking words of wisdom, let it be
Let it be, let it be
Let it be, let it be
Whisper words of wisdom, let it be
And when the broken-hearted people
Living in the world agree
There will be an answer, let it be
For though they may be parted
There is still a chance that they will see
There will be an answer, let it be
Let it be, let it be
Let it be, let it be
Yeah, there will be an answer, let it be
Let it be, let it be
Let it be, let it be
Whisper words of wisdom, let it be
Let it be, let it be
Ah, let it be, yeah, let it be
Whisper words of wisdom, let it be
And when the night is cloudy
There is still a light that shines on me
Shine on until tomorrow, let it be
I wake up to the sound of music,
Mother Mary comes to me
Speaking words of wisdom, let it be
Let it be, let it be
Let it be, yeah, let it be
Oh, there will be an answer, let it be
Let it be, let it be
Let it be, yeah, let it be
Whisper words of wisdom, let it be
Mother Mary is dead. She ain't spoke nothing to him
And when the night is cloudy
There is still a light that shines on me
Shines until tomorrow, let it be
I wake up to the sound of music

Then one night, somewhere between deep sleep and insomnia, I had the most comforting dream about my mother, who died when I was only 14.
So in this dream twelve years later, my mother appeared, and there was her face, completely clear, particularly her eyes, and she said to me very gently, very reassuringly: “LET IT BE.”
It was lovely.
I wrote the main body of it in one go, and then the subsequent verses developed from there: “When all the broken-hearted people living in the world agree, there will be an answer, let it be.”
I thought it was special, so I played it to the guys and ’round a lot of people, and later it also became the title of the album, because it had so much value to me, and because it just seemed definitive, those three little syllables. Plus, when something happens like that, as if by magic, I think it has a resonance that other people notice too.
Not very long after the dream, I got together with Linda, which was the saving of me. And it was as if my mum had sent her, you could say
Thanks, Tim. Now I know the root of the mystery & depth of that song. It was a long time coming.
Thanks for the story
I'm an a 11 year old who loves Rock music (and I absolutely love The Beatles) and absolutely HATES pop music. Now someone tell me that's a break through.
Alley And Mckenzie this means that you're trying to be special. nothing more.
There are a lot of people like you
Mystery Maiden And i'm not allowed to say what i want when i want? you didnt really think this through did you?
Alley And Mckenzie Look at me I'm an 11 year old craving attention.
"Let It Be" was inspired by a dream Paul had about his deceased mother, Mary McCartney.
Lovely Paul with his breathtaking voice.
I like somuch
Let it be > Let it go

This song make me think about terrorist attak in paris, i'm sad, RIP.
ElpincheJO So what makes the attack in Paris any worse?
It's not worse, it's rare. Because we are not so stupid to let weapons to everyone, on the contrary of this countries.
ElpincheJO Then I don't think we should focus strictly on France. Actually, terrorist attacks are nearly meaningless when you compare them to the amount of murders every year.
Leaded bee.
+Arc Kocsog stupid blonde

A big thank you to my late grandmother, whose name incidentally if
was Mary. This song always gets to me as it wasn't allowed to be played at her funeral but we played it at her wake.
This is a nearly perfect song from beginning to end. Beautiful and an underappreciated Harrison solo thrown in for good measure.
A song that brings tears to my eyes, brings up memories of all those that I knew that have fallen.
Feeling sad tonight knowing how all the lives of the Beatles have wound up. I think if we live long enough most of us end up having sadness and grief .......... but I am especially sad for Paul........and wishing him a Happy New Year with new and happy beginnings. He is such a dear person.
Their best version of this composition...absolute perfectionand my favourite hymn of all time

How come so many dislikes? This is the beatles! And one of the best songs ever written. How can u not love this?
The most wonderful piece of music ever written, let it be.
Hard to argue that!
Top song by a top band. Also a top message for those that practice it. A great musical era and I'm grateful I was a part of that period.
I cry whenever I think about the beatles! ;( Sad life guys, really miss them, R.I.P John and George!
I'm imagining an awesome end-of-the-movie scene with this music in it and holy crap its spectacular
I'm 50, and still love the Beatles. So many wonderful songs.
They did not have to dress like crap, and only sing one type of song.
"Mother Mary comforts me.."
I'm so glad I was 13 when the Beatles were on Sullivan and I got to experience every minute of them
Nothing causes goosebumps like this does. Just perfect!
Lindas a musica, beatles nunca sai de moda.Brasil ainda ouve vcs! Eternamente beatles s2
Let it be. Mother Mary comes to me
I wake up to the sound of music.
Master piece nothing more
God how I love these guys and their lyrics .
speaking words of wisdom let it be..... Best song I have ever heard !!
Where's music now? Music disappeared long time ago...from time to time there is some band or musician that surprises. Back then, there was music all around, something beautiful...
Not all modern music is bad, just rare.
HiTasty I didn't say it was all bad. I agree with you: it's just rare. Very rare! But that depends on the taste of everyone. It's rare for me to listen to songs after the 90's.
Vasco Cabral True bro, everyones got their own taste and people need to respect it :P
***** Like i said it is rare, artists who put effort and commitment into their songs barely get noticed thats why :/
Love this song. Used to work near the road they crossed.Memories!!
The Beatles - to jest po prostu CUD słuchanie tego jest cudne !
is beautiful this song is one of my favorites to THE BEATLES always will in the soul!!!
Jednostavno je sve kada su ONI u pitanju : Obozavam !!!
Band of the millenium!!
This songs will live in eternity!!!!!!!
Sometimes in life, I often dont know the answer or next step, and "let it be" is the only way fwd. Great to revisit golden classic
Lepšia skupina sa už nenarodí,Beatles je jedinečná a nenapodobiteľná a hlavne neprekonateľná!!!
3 years ago, I was walking along the hallway, when I stubbed my toe. As i lay there, moaning like a little child, my mother came to me, and said to me, "Let it be.". Tears rolled down my eyes, and i felt liberated from the pain. And, now, I'm still alive and kicking. Kicking the table.
that music for that time and eternity set the stage for all of rock&roll
Bons tempos que jamais esquecerei. Minha linda juventude, que não tem volta. Ms foi muito boa etapa da minha vida. Saudades.
wow this song is never getting old...i like this band a lot but i wonder if they already pass away yet or not??
Essa musica é tão perfeita , uma sensação de paz inexplicável . Pena que hoje em dia os jovens não dão valor a boa musica ..
eu apesar de ser fã do One Direction .. amo ouvir Beatles , Michael Jackson ..
More than ever this message needs to be heard
My mother loved this song, of course me too.Now my children sing along...
I can only say thank you Mrs Armstrong for introducing me to the Beatles..
Mary literally comes to us .. 🙏💙
The best band that has ever existed.
