As soon as Micheal mentioned Drake’s passing there was pain flashing though Dee’s face, her eyes were trying to hold it together. Agh I wish I could give her a tight hug. 💔
What a legendary quote from Bill Bell. To know he had a hand in Days makes me respect him more. I was always a Y&R and B&B fan (never watched Days) but to know this soap survived a transition to streaming makes me feel good. Daytime needs more soaps!
Deidre Hall, she probably knew best to keep close to her heart the pain of Drake's passing. When my dear mother had passed away, for the longest time, I could not speak of her without being flooded with tears, especially as she had endured so very much the final two years. I admire the Days cast, the years and years of dedication of giving their life to the show! I'm always happy to see so many return, though sad for those that instead are recast and sometimes it's just not the same without them, such as Gabi, am glad though JJ is back!
I understand the pain and sadness that Drake’s costars are going through after losing Drake, but did Deidre Hall say it’s not for publication? I understand it’s private and she doesn’t have to discuss her feelings, but the way she responded to him was rude and snotty. It’s not what she said, it’s how she said it. That’s his job to interview people and I understand that she didn’t want to share her feelings as it was extremely hard for her, but she could have said it in a nicer way. I would have said thank you so much, I appreciate you keeping me in your thoughts and prayers and ended it like that. I can’t imagine Drake responding to an interviewer like that. Stephen Nichols was not rude at all. My cousin passed away from the same type of cancer less than a month ago and my family just thanks everyone for keeping them in their thoughts and prayers when they ask how they are doing and that’s it. The interviewer seemed kind of taken back by it ,he was like oh OK. Susan looked embarrassed by the way Deidre responded.
This is encouraging news about the new writers. I have waited a long time for the show to return to good character driven drama with some comic relief sprinkled in since women writers like Pat Falken Smith were there in the early 80's. I miss the great orchestral background music layered over the dialogue from back then too.
It's not for publication but thanks? She has done a few interviews about his passing? That was oddly aggressive since she hasn't been firm and given that response to everyone 100%
I understand that Ron isn't everyone's cup of tea, but I hate to see two actors who he provided ALOT of material for during his tenure--arguably more than either have had in years--basically shade him and throw him under the bus.
IMO, I don't think they were throwing shade but simply saying the "soap in a soap" story line was probably his undoing. With these two I'm thinking that's probably 100% the truth.
I was expecting Deidre to talk more about Drake after working with him for many years, I thought she would mention how it would be working with out him, things like… One thing I’m happy about is that Body n Soul will be done for good soon I hope.. and ima get more stuck to the show now.. 30 years watching it it’s a lifetime.

My thoughts exactly
I could see it too & when he asked how she was she “not for publication but thanks”. They were liked married too really…such a sad & very sudden loss.
Deidre. You can see she can't talk about him
Wonderful real people on and off screen. I am glad that they are their for each other. My thoughts and prayers are with both of them.
God bless you both. I loved both actors. 🙏❤️🙏

This was such a beautiful and honest interview. Thank you so much for pointing this.
I wish I could hug Deidre. To see an interview w/o Drake doesn't seem right. J&M were the only reason I ever tuned in to watch DOOL 😢
me to
Love you forever and everyone on days also God bless you all 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 they do empower us all❤
John and Marlena are my tv parents Julie is like that aunt you want.

Well she could've been just a little more gracious. It's not her real-life husband, so he wasn't prying or being inappropriate.
@@Mr21scott Yes, I thought it was rather abrupt and not her gracious self, but since I really like her, I wanted to word it gently. 😁
Such a good interview. 👍
Two beautiful ladies!
The pain 😢
Poor Deidre. Her pain is palpable. 💔
I completely understand how
She cannot talk about him
Day of Days 2024: Michael Fairman interviews Susan Seaforth-Hayes(Julie Williams) and Deidre Hall(Dr Marlena Evans-Black and Hattie Adams).

Hearing about the new regime makes me very, very happy!! That's what this soap needed after years of... misdirection and real bad stories.

Body & Soul finally did something good - it rid us of Ron.
Facts
🙌😆
Drakeeeeeeeee! 😫
Sorry I thought Body &Soul was a hoot. But I always suspected it was temporary.

It’s too difficult for her.
Hi I don't think she can talk about Drake being so close for almost 40 years. I really feel for het
I agree. The way she acted was uncalled for
@@adamk8197she's grieving give her grace her on screen marriage to Drake's John lasted fourty years longer then her three real life marriages
I bet it is difficult for her to talk about him but she seemed really frosty about it.
Josh looks sick, too. I'm praying that I am wrong
Josh who?
I liked Body and Soul (ducks).
What was “Body and Soul”???
One of the current storylines.
I hope the new writers keep the gay characters. Ron Carlivati had Leo, Dimitri, Javi, Andrew, Paul, Will and Sonny among others.
There not new writers the new head writer has been a writer for the show.
I meant new in the sense of the writers succeeding Ron, bot brand new to the show...
@@tlw1950 OK sorry:)
@@tlw1950I am sure they will in some way or another
I don't like body and soul
