This is a great, easy to understand video Thankyou. I need to replace the speakers in my Samsung also. I also need to replace the optical audio port on this same tv. Is it an easy operation or a bit more involved? I guess I’ll find out when I take the back off the replace the speakers.

Good morning ☕️ we are honored to read this. Replacing speakers will be pretty friendly.
Replacing the audio port shouldn’t be much of a hassle either. Working on these TV’s can be discouraging however once you start working on it, you’ll find it oddly enjoyable.

I have this TV. Trying to remove the back to reattach the LED diffusers. When removing the speakers, the grommets holding the speakers are green plastic not rubber. They broke apart when I lifted the speakers up. Where can I get the rubber mounting grommets your show in your video? The Samsung parts I have seen Online show only the speakers.

Thanks for watching and sharing your experience. You may be able to contact Samsung support and purchase brand new grommets from them… however, we would not be surprised if they told you the best route to take is to just purchased new speakers which will come with new grommets.
Another option would be to contact your local TV repair shop and see if they have grommets that they can remove from a junk TV and sell you.
can i just hook up box speakers and cut and splice the wires to tv ones ? and disconnect the old speakers?

I am wondering the same thing. I don’t see why not. Please let me know if you did it. I’m going to attempt it. My moms 95. Using the other remote is a pain. I even fumble with it. Need better sound using the tv remote.

I'm looking for speakers for my Samsung UN55MU800DFXZA. Samsung says I need p/n BN96-42222A for the speakers. I probably just need one, but I'll buy two if they aren't too expensive. My TV, from looking at RUclips, has the panel that you slide something thin along the edge to take the back off. Is there anything you can do for me, like sell me the correct speakers for a reasonable price?

Thanks for watching, by chance have you opened up back panel of tv to gain access to speaker part number? One of the speakers might have a p/n sticker on it to help you purchase the exact replacement speakers.
Once you remove the speakers, can you use somewhere else? Granted that they are still in working order.

After carefully removing back panel cover to gain access to internal parts, you can locate the part number stickers on the speakers.
By getting the part numbers from your exact speakers will ensure that you are purchasing the exact replacement speakers for your TV.
