For those of you who use FL Studio and not Ableton, a similar effect can be achieved by using 4 or more separate mixer channels in a connected routing chain. 1 to route the original sound to, 2 or more to split the sound into multiple instances, and then one at the end to saturate and compress the signals together and ease the process of sidechain automation. I know this is an old comment, but everything he did in Live here can be done in FL. You actually have more control over parallel processing in FL than you do in Live.
hey SO, great vid, the processing you showed off was dope, but you used EQ8, which means it'll likely cause phase issues on some sounds a small solution to this would be to use a linear phase splitter or use gentler low/hi-cuts, I'm pretty sure there's a free phase-correct band splitter rack for ableton that would be better at the effect ✨
