Right, but this video works for everyone doing a music. Like if you're adding a lot of small details to really fill the sound, it'll be better, but not only in color bass, nor in dubstep in general, it's a good tip for everyone, yes, you need to work on your tracks and not just put a random bass, add a sub, kick snare pattern with hi-hat on time, no, you have to make the sound living, not static... I think Beutnoise is a good example, cuz he's really adding so much depth in every track he's doing! And I have listened to some blend tracks that really lack this fullness you were talking about... It just feels empty...
So yeah, good video overall!
I mean it really depends, every form of music uses layering but everything about it is different in terms of sound selection.

Use different tonal sounds and textures to build upon a main bass pattern. More layers the better, but make sure they’re processed and balanced or else it’ll sound ass.

color bass sucks and is worse weaker dubstep, the vocoding sounds so obvious and weak,, if you want melodies do melodies dont just vocode dubstep

New producers thinking they’ve hit on some magical secret formula… “just put sounds over the top”. That’s literally every composition and genre type going back to orchestral and quartets. Literally everyone does it.

I am a music producer who likes making color bass but its so hard when you don’t have good samples and have to live off of free cymatics packs and stock FL plugins

bro. great video! serious question. im a relatively unseasoned logic user. does the main portion of your ear candy come from sound design (serum, riddim style synth development) or is it mainly samples?
depends on the situation but usually ill post process and resample samples either i made or someone else did

its the same baseline theory of the effect but they have noticeable differences when heard side by side.

@@wiffycat yeah, hybrid reverb in ableton and convolver in fl are both forms of convolving and convolution reverb in max live and the stock logic plugin
