Free practice is over on Thursday in Bahrain and the fastest driver of the day was Lewis Hamilton in the Mercedes, but what does this mean? Are Mercedes in the fight with Red Bull or does Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez have something left in store to take the fight to them? Also can Ferrari fight, it looks like Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz had more pace than they were able to show. Mclaren also look good as Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri had a decent day but couldn't get a fast qualifying lap in. In this video we are going to be looking through all of the data to find out what the running order might actually be and see who impressed and who did not.
Alpine look to be struggling whereas Daniel Ricciardo in the VCARB could be looking very good and was Haas' pace real with Nico Hulkenberg?

@@MrPulseF1 I'm sure the season will be exciting. Just like last year. Ok, RBR was dominant, but there was a battle for the 2nd position, as well as for the 4th and the back of the grid.
@@TheodoreAggelopoulos yeah that's true, I did enjoy last year's racing a lot especially between McLaren, Ferrari Aston and Mercedes, I know there is a lot that are not fans of it because of the same winner though, which is sad
I’m now more exited about quali it seems like a lot of teams have low engine modes and I feel like this is going to be very close between them

Yeah you have to be careful with what you use, I typically use B-roll footage that teams supply instead of anything that is on the F1 channel itself, so look for when teams post their content with the car. If it is anything from the session I tend to use very sparingly a few seconds but I get that content from what other people upload instead of F1. I can send you some stuff on twitter or something if you want

Listening to Zak Brown, McLaren do seem to have things turned down. But their race pace was really promising after it looked really poor in testing especially piastri.
Agreed, it was much better than the testing pace. That was actually shocking
Piastri's longrun looked good imo.
I think everyone is wrong, what if merceds have improved their engine baseline, and aero drag co-efficient, and they are just running similar power modes.

@@MrPulseF1 fp 3 is over now, and nothing seems to have drastically changed, I still think the Merc hype is real, 3 hours will confirm.
During testing Ferrari was averaging 1.35.50 min with race capacity fuel onboard and with engines turned down not as much as in FP2.
I agree that there is more to come from everyone yet especially Ferrari and Red Bull

Have you watched Drive to Survive this series? If so, which episode was your favourite and how did you find the Williams vs Haas episode? My dad is going to show me them tomorrow night when I go to his house as I cant get Netflix on my device.
I have watched it, DTS is not really my thing. I have watched the Haas vs Williams episode it's weird the season was never Haas vs Williams but somehow they made it that way
@@MrPulseF1 i think from what i understand they were showing the opposing directions of two of the back of the grid teams and the contrasting personalities of Steiner and Vowles. I think they were showing how Haas started ok but then struggled and Williams started the season om the backfoot and improved.
Yeah that is pretty much it, you hit the nail on the head
Mercedes claimed they'd made changes to the car to help single lap performance which turned out better than expected!!! How often do changes wind up BETTER than expected. This suggests to me that they hadn't turned up the engines. Also, Georges race pace though not as good as Max and Carlos, is between Lewis and Max. Maybe there's a compromise position that wins back the single lap for race pace?
There is hope for them, I do think Mercedes could be good. I just think they may have had it turned up a little bit more, there's more to come from everyone though

Quali is going to be close and a lot of drivers/teams might be in play. Even last year with Redbull winning almost everything Quali was still close.

It is so tough, we didn't get to see a proper lap from Ferrari or Mclaren or Red Bull. Ferrari and Red Bull seemed to have things turned down a little bit more so there's a long way to go yet. I am going to stick with my prediction from preview and predictions which was Leclerc but it is certainly tight

Looks like mercedes has a good qualifying car, but also more tyre deg.

In the longruns merc,Ferrari,mclaren and redbull look equal.

This season we are gonna see if max can place his car in the race line and push his opponents bcoz this year every car has pace and this is some next shit he has to face after 2021....this year he has to be convincing which he can be to show that he is something different than Schumacher,hamilton and senna....this year is gonna push max to next GoD mode.....he had to crush this....place every car as smooth as butter.
Yeah it will be interesting to see if he reintroduces his over aggressive nature on track when challenged
