I agree. The original dirty oily parts being bolted to that newly rebuilt and pristine engine bothered me. A 20-minute power washer blast may have done 90 percent of the engine and engine bay clean -up, and resulted in easier reassembly and happy ending for mechanic and car owner. I have an 09 2.4 camry engine will it work in an 09 camry non hybrid
I'm lost in your question but a None hybrid should on none hybrid motor.
Bravo u just made every Chicago mechanic look like pure shit .Great video wish I knew u
I’m about to do this job how much was motor? I’m finding 1200 with under 100k btw I have that dewalt impact things a beast!!
Best impact so far my last one was the older snapon and it has no comparison to this one. Most likely for that motor you going to spend that much money to get one.
All Tsab thanks I have some Air Cat and Nitro Cat impact which are nice but I go for the electric dewalt every time. I also have the Milwaukee 3/8 Retchet no air needed love it. Great video where did you get your motor? That transmission is small.
Amazing job
Great video. I bought an 02 camry at a car auction but needs an engine. I want to do it myself but need to find a good used engine. I have 600 budget for an engine. Any leads are welcomed. Thank you
Good luck, been looking for over a year, ever now and then I'll find a high mileage (250k miles) engine for 8-900... Best bet is find a JDM engine importer, should be able to find one for $1200ish. If you still need one
@@Kfinch1992 I found a company called engine labs that rebuit my engine including installation for 1500. The engine sounds really good but I am noticing now that the camry is holding the gears just a little. I was told by my father that I should change the transmission oil and see if that helps.
That wind and brick walls looks like AV?
Is this basically the same for all 2az. Even for scion tc
Andy Sivilaythong little bit different only not a big different.
Ok thank you. I bought a scion tc. And the engine is blown I haven't found no good guide to removing the engine but hopefully your video is gonna help me alot
Andy Sivilaythong ez cake it should take you 3 days max to finish it.
will a 2az fxe hybrid engine work in a non hybrid car??
Does the transmission have to come out
No but I think pull all together is easier for me that why I pull them together
I just installed the new engine(50k-60k mile as said by a seller) successfully, but couldn’t accelerate. 2000rpm is the maximum it can go. And, the steering wheel doesn’t spin smoothly and has so noisy sound like the steering power fluid doesn’t come through. How can i fix please? Toyota camry 2003
Any engine code?
@@alltsab P0420. It was there before I swapped the new engine. I already changed the new cat as the same time
@@kiettran3900 any code after new cat and new engine?
@@alltsab i’m not sure. I didn’t scan yet. Is it any auto parts store that I can loan the scanner, you know?
@@kiettran3900 I'm not sure but you can buy cheap one like 30 dollars from Walmart or auto part
will a 2az fxe hybrid engine fit my non hybrid camry?
Im Not 100 % sure about hybrid but I believe all 2azfe should interchangeable. For example like one of my other video about 1mzfe engine swap from sienna to Camry I have to drill some hole for engine mount and change intect manifold, timing tensioner. You can try to swap and let me know how it go.
2010 was the year the Camry started using the 2ar-fe 2.5L with the 6 speed. The title of this video is misleading.
U a bad man dam u awesome
anyone know if If I can put a japan made engine on a usa made toyota camry I want to replace the engine but my car is usa made and I found a donor but is japan made
Yes you can put Japan made to us made. Some Japan made the oil pam is different you may have to swap it. Also some sensor may different as well so just look for those items.
@@alltsab thank u for the help I appreciate it
Looks like it's a thermostat problem, that got it overheated and shitted the gasket out. lol
excellent video ty
Is this the same engine as the 2004 camry?
If 2azfe then it's the same
@@alltsab do you happens to have parts for an 2azfe engine. I'm looking for the small timing chain guide bolt
@@Lifesituations8000 either order from dealer or just go to the junkyard to get it.
@@alltsab the junkyard will be the best option
@@alltsab I ended up calling the dealer and they by luck where able to order the last one in stock
Nice video. Where do you recommend to buy the engine from?
If they have a good remanufactured then buy from that place. But 70% remananufure they didn't recoil the cylinder head bolts so you going to have head gasket problems again after 2 or 3 years.
This is a lot complicated then I thought. Rather just scrap it.
Nice video!! can you engine swap my 1996 nissan altima
Ralph Reyes I don't have any that old at the moment but I will in the future.
Great job!!!
Great video. What type engine works best for you? Salvage yard, rebuilt, or Japan import (JDM) type? Thank you.
Jam
Fantastic job well done
Phillip Murray thank
How much was the new engine?
Lance Bridge remanufactured is about 1400
where?
Where did you purchase the engine?
Angela Perry eBay but the seller from LA
What is the phone number and name for the in l.a
how many hours did this take?
Con here is the breakdown. 3 hrs take out. 1.45hrs switching parts. 3 hrs to install back. That is my times. For some people 3 days. First day take out, second day switching parts, and last day reinstall back up to complete.
So about 3 hours to fully install an engine is probably out of the picture
davidskool i did it.
Great video! How do you keep your bolts organized, so you know which bolt goes where?
Very easy when you do it for many years. You can close your eyes and you still feel where the nuts and bolts go to.
Can I drop the motor from the bottom?
Yes you can
Every good ideó!👍😃 You are amazing champion! How can I contact you? Where are you located?

Good job!
What state u in
vedric amos thanks for the comment I'm from kali4nia...
Clean the motor up first then u will get a lot of subs 1 luv
I agree. The original dirty oily parts being bolted to that newly rebuilt and pristine engine bothered me. A 20-minute power washer blast may have done 90 percent of the engine and engine bay clean -up, and resulted in easier reassembly and happy ending for mechanic and car owner. Other than that, Mr. Tsab, your are a gentle and peaceful soul. You made a daunting task seem easy. And you inspired me to take on this same project on my wife's 2002 Camry. Maybe there will be a happy ending for me! Thank you so very much.
