Just a note, the video specifies a 1 inch socket to release the oil cartridge cap, but on my 2015 T & C it is a 15/16 socket

The manual says 6 and half courts. I put max 5 because if u add the amount stated by dealer mechanic he will mess you ran up. They add what the specs say but you r suppose to do it till the line or else you r valve train will need to be replaced. Remember only you can do a competent work since its you r van one seems to care more.

So true, my father in-law was a mechanic and he said he would get in trouble for going too slow and not getting the jobs out quick enough. He worked at one place and use to get pissed off when they worked salary and he'd have to fix other mechanics repairs because he didn't get the commission and they did and they did the sloppy work. Man he hated that. That's why people always say find a mechanic you can trust. Or as you said learn to do it on your own and you will be more satisfied with the quality of work. Thanks for the comment

I don’t need to jack up the car I’m skinny enough to reach the drain plug ., same thing for my BMW X5

Thanks for the comment and letting people know they don't really need to lift the car to get it done. I can reach it as well without lifting it, but I hate working in tight spaces and it's just more comfortable for me to take my time and do it this way. I actually think you just need a long enough arm to reach the plug, and I have short arms and can reach it. I also like to look under for other leaks or problems while I'm doing it, but yes many people can just reach under and get it without lifting it up. Thanks again for the comment, hopefully it helps a few people get it done more quickly...

But if you use a jack stand can you get under real quick just not stay under there? I don't have ramps.

You may know the difference between jack stands and a jack, but just in case I wrote this up. You are not suppose to go under a car that is up on a jack(the thing you lift the car with). Jack stands are different than a Jack. You jack the car up with the jack and then put the jack stands under and lower the vehicle onto them to support the vehicle. Once you lower the vehicle onto them the jack stands are holding your car up, so they need to be under a part of the frame that can support the weight. I lower the vehicle onto the jack stands and then pump up my hydraulic jack just to the point of tension, as an added safety precaution just in case something was to happen, but there is a lot of weight on the jack stands and it would be pretty tough to tip them, but I'm sure someone has installed them improperly and had issues or fatalities. Always use good judgement. If you have a high curb you can sometimes just drive two tire up in the grass and crawl under, not sure on the clearance for your vehicle. Best of luck and be safe, don't go under if it is supported by a jack or jacks

For what it's worth, it may be a tight squeeze, but I can get underneath my Town and Country without jacking it up. Just slide along the garage floor and unscrew the drain plug.

I'll try it next time. It is pretty tight and I am short, so it's a long reach. Plus there is something to be said about working comfortably. Just takes a second and I have space to look up underneath for any other problems. But I will try and give it a go next time. Thanks for the heads up!

Oh and I used jack stands. A jack stand is different that just a jack! Don't just use a jack and make sure you know how to set your jack stands before going under. Setting jack stands under a wrong spot may cause extremely costly repairs. If you can get under without jacking and are unsure of what you are doing then do that. I am sure you got 'er done already though
