Neil Bonnett's Winners - Hershel McGriff

In 2018, Hershel McGriff made NASCAR history when he raced in the K&N West series at the age of 90 years-old. Of course, Hershel had been racing in NASCAR since 1950. With many wins and a West championship, McGriff was named one of NASCAR's 50 Greatest Drivers in 1998. In this 1992 episode of the popular series Winners, Hershel McGriff's career is highlighted.

Amazing video! I just found out about him by watching the 1986 Riverside race that NASCAR uploaded the other day, and after a little research I found out that he last raced in the K&N West series a couple years ago, aged 90 years old! You can't make this stuff up

It stinks Hershel got snubbed at the Hall of Fame this year, but I’m hoping he gets in next year. I’d love to see a 93 year old Hershel give an acceptance speech at the hall!

I saw on Twitter (and it was probably the nascarman account) that Hershel McGriff is the only driver to race against both Red Farmer and Hailey Deegan. Shows you how much longevity this guy has had. Definitely deserving of the Hall
