- Only the bravest drivers in the world choose to enter the Indianapolis 500. At 220 mph, that bravery is tested regularly. This is a brief video depicting some of the bravest overtakes of the last 20 years.

Alternative title: The Tomas Scheckter Show
And Alexander Rossi
The best ❤️
Rossi's passes in 2019 were pure anger.
IndyCar drivers are gladiators
Yes sir!
One of the reasons why we love oval racing in the sport and why we need more and why we love the Indy 500!
Scheckter had a lot of the flying’ Hawaiian in him. Brave, fast, but so prone to incidents.
Was on the frontstretch for #8 and while you couldn’t hear it on here, the crowd went absolutely NUTS when Sato came through as well.
I heard a pretty good roar for that one!
Tomas Scheckter is so much fun to watch. Same could be said for Rossi especially when he gets mad. 2019 Indy 500 was by far his best drive. He was making moves others couldn't (except Castroneves that one lap) and climbed up so fast despite the massive pit problem with the fueler and it's a shame he didn't win that one.
Had Meira happened to beat Dixon in 2008, that needle thread would be number 1 on this list. Vitor Meira so deserved an Indy 500 win 😢
Luckily sometimes Tscheck gets remembered. So talented and brave. Thanks man 👊👊
Best race in the world bar none. But hearing the ABC commentary team post Paul Page miss all the action makes me thankful for NBC. They're not perfect, but better than what we had previously
Awesome, awesome video!
Hey David! See you were given special recognition by 'nascarman History'!
Must feel validating to be singled out by an OG! Congrats!
Have a great day at the 500!
My personal favorite is rossi on the outside in 2018. I remember thinking he was crazy
It was amazing for sure
i remember thinking he was going to win a championship after 2018
Ok, let me pull my heart out of my throat. First video of the morning before work - I’m awake now! 😅
My favorite driver was Tomas Scheckter. Really sad that he disappeared from the race track
I’m convinced Tomas Scheckter and Robby Gordon are the same person
If this is a series, I nominate Mario and Michael splitting Cheever for the lead in ‘92!
The intro got me thinking, hard to believe that its been 10 years since Jim Nambors retired, and almost 7 since he died
1:55 is the coolest camera shot I’ve ever seen what a surprise!
Nice post, Mr 'nascarman History'!!
Thanks for helping us get excited for 'The Greatest Spectacle in Racing'!!
Awesome editing
Amazing video !
That last clip I think is the 2011 Indy 500. If so then those 14 cars passed by one man behind the wheel is legendary.
Excellent vid and Newgarden 500 final lap pass on Pato leads off the next one 😂
That Montoya pass is wicked. Makes no sense how he didn’t absolutely bottle it touching the grass IN THE MIDDLE of the corner.
Good video.
This is why Rossi is my favorite driver
I dont think you can repeat these passes on the outside anymore. When they get so far out they'll just understeer into the wall
🔥🔥
indyCar should be making these videos, like F1 does. They are a generation of management style behind F1. They're in their Bernie Ecclestone style era...
Tomas Scheckter doing this like playing INDYCAR SERIES 2005 PS2 game.😂
Tomas Scheckter may very well be one of the greatest to never win the 500. Dude had so much raw talent.
Buddy Rice was hella underrated. After he got hurt in '05 he never recovered from that damage in his neck.
Scheckter was a thrilling driver to watch, but I understand why team owners would find him frustrating (and expensive) to employ lol
Quite the video
Maybe I'm missing something, but I think we've been extremely fortunate not to have a car flip into the pits at Indy. Any contact at #15 and especially #12 could have been disastrous
The one race drivers want to win sunday can come soon enough
'can't'
Rest of World: Straight
America: STRAIGHTAWAY
Man those days when they actually had a shifter. Golden times vs the video game paddles
Evolution occurs, we must embrace it rather than the alternative!
Biggest clown show in racing
This isn't a video about stage racing in NASCAR ?
@@tjantilag Even then, Stage Racing isn't even that bad, it's just that we don't need unnecessary cautions. Really, there's a lot worse shows out there like Extreme E/H.
Stage racing ruined NASCAR, Along with ridiculous playoffs. Drop the rag and race.
This isn't NASCAR and their stupid rigged finishes
@@scotthofstetter4036so, take action! Write a letter to Roger Penske! He's easy to find. Just ask Rick Hendrick!
