I didn't.
I sure miss him. He's my favorite motorsports announcer. It's absolutely criminal that he's out of a job right now.
@@NickG40 that's because he was accompanied by the two of the most boring color in commentary history
The most dramatic portion of the race and how many cut-aways to a wife do we need? Crappy directing. If I watched for hours, that's NOT what i tuned in for.
I still don’t know how Sam pulled that off. All of these races are great
I still think when Johncock won it was the best I’ve ever seen
Great video. Thanks for putting it together. But you're wrong about Paul Tracy.
great video to hear the crowds
Nice recommendation a day after Newgarden's amazing Indy 500 win in 2023
Happy to see the Indy 500 finishes are getting worse.
1982 indy, Johncock with one of the most beautiful move defending a position that I ever saw, and what TV shows? One of the wives..
Mears had the better car but Gordy was the better driver
I was at the 1996 race. I remember Buddy Lazier holding on at the end in that purple car. I'm pretty sure that was Tony Stewart's first 500...think he was in the Team Menard's car?
0:25 "I dont think I've ever seen an open wheel race finish this close"
'1971 Monza just entered the chat'
indy lights chicagoland 2006 has entered the chat
"We know she can count three, she just proved it!"
That was awesome!
1996 was brutal. Cheever had a 236 mph lap, in the race.
''We know she can count the three'' that kill me laughing, jajajaaaajjjaaajajaaa
That Sato crash was so close, also if Danica won that would be mental
So many emotions throughout this video:
Amazement (2011)
Happiness (2013)
Excitement (2006)
Craziness (1996)
Amazement (2016)
Disappointment (2012)
Confusion (1997)
Though not shown in the video, I will also mention Heartbreak for 2018...
Heartbreak in 2018?
@@iuaump4 On a late restart with 7 to go in the 2018 Indy 500, 3 underdog drivers were leading but very low on fuel with no chance of making it if it stayed green the entire way. The 3 drivers were Stefan Wilson, Jack Harvey, & Oriol Servia. Any one of them winning would have been incredible & especially Stefan Wilson.
Unfortunately that miracle caution never came, all 3 had to pit under green with 5 laps remaining, & Will Power won.
Predictable ending sure, but I think everyone would have loved to have seen Stefan win it for his late brother Justin.
@Ultimate23Dragon ok I remember Stefan leading with 5 to go and I agree with you
Freaking Luyendyk should have let Villeneuve go. There was no need to race him so closely on the final straight.
What NASCAR drivers do you see in this video?
I heard Vince Welch. (I know he only commentates for the truck series but I'm just mentioning
Sam hornish Jr (bust)
Montoya, Kurt Bush, Smoke ,Robby Gordon, Hornish, Franchitti
Kurt Busch, Juan Montoya, Robby Gordon, Sam Hornish Jr, Tony Stewart, and a big surprise Allmendinger
Kurt Busch, Sam Hornish Jr, Tony Stewart, Juan Montoya, Dario Franchitti, Robby Gordon, and a big surprise AJ Allmendinger in 2013
The 2019 finish was great
Such a shame Dan Wheldon left us early
No halo/windscreen
It’s crazy it took all those years to have a last lap battle close finish
Those women in the boxes.... They make this world go around!
I live a few miles away from the speedway and I can hear the cars every race
thank you
Watching Danica Patrick leading the Indy 500 in the closing laps is a weird, but nice sight. I don’t care how much money she was making, she should have stayed in indycar.
Now the Man who bought 18 Indy 500's. Own's it! Now, Will Penske give up owning a Indy car team. Or will he just put it under another man's name and keep buying the wins at Indy? SHAWN
The greatest Races of Indycar best times great drivers Sato Alonso Montoya Indycar Superstars 👍👑🤩🥳
17:40 why are you so mean
IndyCar is a minor sport in Japan. Takuma's second victory is not well reported in Japan. I am so sad. However, I will continue to support IndyCar and Takuma.
That's sad. IndyCar racing is a very cool sport. The guys all seem to be polite, personable humans who treat their fans with respect. With the internet, you should be an e to watch any race you want. Enjoy!!
LOVE ITTTTTTTT
This race never disappoints
