I love the idea of the extra step to secure the pompom. I've found folding the end of the yarn of the tail over makes it easier to thread through the tapestry needle. That way you don't have to trim it if it separates a little bit. And it makes the yarn a bit stiffer and easier to thread. I made my Mom some hats because she lost her hair to chemo and now someone who saw me knitting them wants me to make a few baby hats with pompoms. Found your video on attaching the pompoms and am a new subscriber. Have a great weekend.

I made a hat with a very large pom pom on top. It looked great initially, but after I tied off the last knot, it flopped all over the place. Aarrgghh!!! I wish I had known about that extra special step you did with the tails for a second pass through the crown. I bet it would have been a lot more secure. Thanks for the video. Next time I'll know!!!
