I’m on my 8th month since i started bowling and what I’ve noticed is that when i started rolling the ball three months ago is better control. Although, most of the time it goes straight towards the head pin I am often left with either the 7 or 10 pin standing. So now, since i have started using a stronger reactive ball, that straight over under roll seems to curve on the down lane depending on the speed I release it. So now I’m getting better hits/strikes and fairly higher scores. Just sharing my experience as a newbie. Great video by the way.
Good vid, though would be nice if the drills can be shown in a step by step process to better see the way the ball should be rolled down lane. Thanks!!
Wow! This is MVP quality instruction. Maintaining your balance with your weight properly distributed enables you to smoothly deliver momentum - No reverse motion chucking or off-balance dumping. Very well done.
Is good advice. I’m a novice trying to get better and the second that I slow down and stop trying to get it down the lane quick it’s crazy. Just letting the ball work through my swing. I struggle with getting the right hook but once I slow it down the ball hooks like crazy and hits the pocket.
For me it’s the slide I can’t do it cause I always lose my balance I’m very top heavy. I plant and I walk to the lane kinda slow but I feel that slows my ball down.
Critical subject…I wish you would have dug deeper into drills, and “the small things”……you were “selling us” on the idea and reasons, which everyone agrees on……would love another video breaking it down from drills, to backswing to release and finger movement. Thanks!
That would explain the PBA pros, who often loft the ball down lane as well as rotate their hands. The only time I see them not rotating the hand is when they are throwing the ball straight on some spare shots.

Thank you for taking the time for the video I just wish more people would get into bowling it's amazing physical and mental game

does the thumb hole need to be a snud fit? or the thumb hole be big enough to fit the thumb?
Great video!!
Thank you!
I always feel like im chunking the ball. So do you cup your wrist on your followthrough
I'm currently working on my late swing... ie timing is important to be able to roll it.
Thanks!!
Will try to do it 😅
I do this, but naturally and still sometimes pull the ball inside and I Don't play inside because I can't get the ball Outside.
I improved my backswing by relaxing it rather than forcing it. My issue now is inconsistent release
What's up Matt! Good to see you brother great tips as always from a legend!
This is what I’m doing wrong . Hope I can figure out how to stop muscling the ball . Thank you.
My late swing makes me muscle the ball to compensate... So currently working on that to give the ball a free swing.
Timing
Going to share it to my second son
Thank I use a strogger glove can I still release the ball like this
Mark strogger glove
What if you wear a fixed bent brace

There are times the heads are gone, if you don't go airmail...you don't score...this is a competition.

This is essentially the extended version of this video. Most valuable video I ever watched

New bowler here understood nothing we need step by step tutorial not some theory and some guy throwing his bowl like a pro
I wonder who taught you this
Nope, I don't throw the ball
You not from Richmond are you
