Big G forces businesses to go public after a certain threshold though. I don't know what the specifics are in canada under castro but it's probably really bad.
As much I want Phase to grow and succeed, part of the charm is that it’s not a massive company. There’s less restrictions/expectations on the talents. Pippa is my oshi because she’s unhinged and says whatever she wants
Part of the reason I'm not interested in Hololive is that it's such a big serious company that a lot of its content feels produced rather than organic. Pippa has admitted herself that she already self-censors because she's big enough that she can't get away with it anymore, the people that hate her for that sort of thing will see it and be outraged and start attacking and harassing the other girls.
If Sakana focuses on the business side of things, I can see PC keeping the current status quo but making bank. Looking forward to official Phase Connect Construction and Farming Equipment.
Let see... Hololive right now is 75% Idol, 25% Streamer Vshojo right now is 75% Streamer, 25% Idol Phase Connect would be wise to go for a 50/50 in Idol/Streamer activity, dood.
@@theodorepinnock1517 Another reason Pippa restrains herself is the Pancake/Waffle problem. She has enough people watching that if she says she likes pancakes, certain people will hear her say she hates waffles. I've seen it live and seen her call them out, but she can't catch everyone.
Seeing the problems Hololive has (even if a lot of talents are no affected and even for those affected it doesn't seem to be too serious) I hope Fishman stays on the safe but steady growth track. We have all seen what "accelerate" ends up with.
The way things are going now, Phase Connect is well on its way to being a proper rival to even the most successful vtuber agency (Hololive). It's hella amusing how the menhera sad girl company has shown to have greater stability than nearly all others.
My personal outlook, is that PC will become one of the 'Big Three' not exclusively by virtue of their growth, but by the collapse of other larger corpos. Niji will prolapse due to shitty management, and Holo will downsize as older talents graduate and respawn elsewhere. Personal prediction: at the end of 2025, the Top 4 Vtubing agencies will be Holo, Vshojo, Phase, and either Mythos or V4Miria. In that order.
vshojo has kept their nose clean for awhile but don't forget their vile atrocities during the so-called 'nux incident'. They are just as bad if not worse than nijisanji and could suffer huge dmg at any moment.
People keep forgetting about BraveGroup, the umbrella company that manages V4, globie, VSPO! EN, and now IdolEN/ES. The numbers are blury, but their EN branches combined, they're probably bigger then VSJ. Otherwise, I agree with you. I'm surprised that Niji hasn't shutdown their EN and moved their top talents into the JP branch like they did with ID yet.

The dilemma of wanting to see phase flourish and succeed, but not want the sideeffects of a business growing, as in less personability, more restrictions, all that.
I believe Phase Connect will continue to grow and get bigger, but I hope that when it does it stays the same in how it runs things. Keep to what makes Phase Connect so special and different with the growth it gains.
Well, i do sympathize with her, so long as the company stay stable it’s inevitably going to end up in the same situation as cover. It’s a bitter pill to swallow, but that’s just how businesses work
I think Pippa underestimates Phase a bit, purely on one basis. If there is one thing that's been shown again and again, even in agencies that really should be making money, they often turn up to have been making nothing. Remember how everyone talked up how big Idol-en was? That they were coming up for Niji's lunch? Remember how successful they looked right until they weren't? Phase has technically been making money, which automatically should put them in the top ranks purely by virtue of very few vtuber corpos are doing that.
a big VTuber agency would have never gave a chance for Pippa, Tenma and Shiina - and these three vtubers are exactly the reason I like Phase, while I don't care for any other vtuber company
As long as fishman stays the course and focuses on what makes phase great I think everything will be fine. The quick/big buck is usually where good companies start to falter
Phase connect is filling a niche in the space mostly occupied with indie vtuber. They have a different kind of market enjoying them atm. Going bigger means reaching an audience outside of the niche, and into another. That may mean sacrificing what current audience love. Is that worth it? PC is already holding its own, its a private company, and the big 3 really is a big 2. The rainbow company EN branch reputation has been tarnished, vtuber award makes an example of that.
My personal prediction is that Hololive became something like Disney as Yagoo dreamed of. While Phase Connect became something like Steam/Valve, with Sakana as Vtuber version of Gabe N, dood.

@@DarkKnight-em7ue yeah, Idol-en's _branding_ exists sorta, under Brave, but Idol as a company is dead. The vtubers were all either folded into Brave or allowed to go indie while owning their IP.
