    Finally!!! Someone who is actually addressing (realistically) the subject of calories. Many people who are overweight don't really know if the feeling they are getting is hunger or some kind of emotional thing. When I keep hearing eat whenever you are hungry I think ' I am always hungry so how will I know when to stop!?' I can't wait to listen to this again and take notes. New sub!

      Right
      That CAN be good advice for some people but many, MANY people can't easily distinguish true hunger from emotional issues or just boredom.
      Personally I could say that I'm hungry almost all the time, but I've also done a Fast of over 8.5 DAYS so clearly I can not be ACTUALLY hungry for a long time!

    I'm almost 80 and female. After 3 years of sedentary living and growing weak to the point that walking was painful and exhausting I came across the carnivore diet. My son asked me to accompany him to the gym and he's now my personal trainer. Over the last 3 months we've gone to the gym 2 days on with one day off or 2 days off. Since we both work out we spend roughly 3 hours. I'm getting stronger, lifting heavier all the time. Always, the next weight up is my goal. The diet has been quite a bit trickier because I'm quite a lot overweight though I've lost one fourth of what I needed to lose and I'm still losing. The information you've provided will help a lot because I don't want to go over the amount of calories I actually need. You're the only one I've found who's explained this properly and in detail. So thank you from the bottom of my heart.

    I was Carnivore and every time I weighed myself, I was up a few pounds. Now, I eat Starch Solution with occasional meat and every time I weigh myself, my weight goes down. I am now sitting at 132lbs. The carnivore diet was not a weight loss diet by any means. If anything, it was a weight gain diet. The Starch Solution is geared for effortless weight loss.

    • @cammieklund
      @cammieklund 8 дней назад

      Look how it turned out for the creator of Starch solution....Sarcopenia, osteoporosis and early death. It's not a healthy diet even if you can lose weight on it.

    So do you think hitting the protein goals regardless of the fat intake in order to keep the calories from being too low. I’m alternating and trying to push protein. I am so full I sometimes eat less fat. I make sure I refeed but seem to drop more weight on lower fat days.
    Scared from all the other “gurus” that protein is going to turn to sugar. Not the case according to Dr Ben Bickman btw 😊

    • @delightedtomeatyou
      @delightedtomeatyou  2 месяца назад +1

      I don’t really try to prioritize protein because I always get so much. I feel like 150-200g (which is what I normally get) is plenty. But I’m definitely not experiencing the “so full” feeling that you expressed.

      @@delightedtomeatyouI’ve been “under eating” so I think that’s why. I’m trying to get calories up and the weight gain is hard to deal with mentally but hoping it’s muscle.

      I’m prone to undereating and did a refeed and got my protein up, my weighed stayed the same but I took measures and have a scale that measures muscle and body fat, and it said I was doing a pound for pound swap and inches are changing. So I suggest tape measure

    Wow we are super similar.
    I was basically 135 lbs through my 20s and then over the last year and a half i went to 150 😢 which is super rough for me. So i also got a dexa scan and it said i was 33% body fat which .. like you i feel that is so not where i want to be. I would feel so great to be back at 135. I started weight lifting a month ago and i play pickleball for hours. I started carnivore 2 weeks ago. . Although really new, everyone around me has lost significant weight and i maybe am down a single pound.. I am curious and maybe could find the answer if i looked harder.. but what is your fat to protein ratio? 😂 im so confused what i am doing wrong. My husband says he thinks it is because i eat right, i go to the gym but then the rest of the time he always says i am sitting or laying down. I don't want to believe him but curious .. do you sit a lot? Lol i just want to lose fat and build muscle .. why must it be so hard ❤.
