I have the same fault code, but my car drives and starts perfectly, accept my car doesent want to change gears when I move off from a red light, but then runs fine when it gets into gear, what could it be ?
Hi. Why do I have error 5143 no message EGS receiver, ACC transmitter? I have a remanufactured 6HP26 gearbox. She sometimes drags the gears a bit, 2-3 or 4-3 or 3-2, and suddenly brakes the car sharply. There is no power, 8.2 seconds to 100 km/h (545 and 5.8). She has adapted, she has learned, but the symptoms are as above. Please help.
Hi, I have a problem with a BMW e60 3.0d 6hp26 gearbox, the car shifts perfectly except that when for example I get to the traffic light despite having my foot on the brake the car starts to force itself as if to move forward and to vibrate, I put it in N then in D and it starts again same thing also by putting my foot on the brake in R but it starts to force and vibrate, I washed and serviced the gearbox hoping it will be resolved but nothing, I repeat, the car shifts perfectly and it didn't give me any warning lights relating to it, putting on the diagnosis it gave me such as error 005088 and P0705
Hi, My 04 530i e60 code is 5088 EGS: Sensor, Transmission Switch L1 - L4. I see your code does not say L1 - L4 other videos mention the problem is the transmission control plate that needs to be replaced. I'm confused
Please someone help with a suggestion . I have the code P0705 A Circuit Gear sign and battery light on . The car can start in all Positions P,R,D,N .and when it starts it doesnt show which gear the car on the dashboard. instead I get transmision sign with the exclamation mark in Orange and this is when I can drive the car almost normally and the car can go reverse and from second gear and up but with no first gear and parking sensors are not beeping nor reverse lights working .but if I dont see the transmision fault sign, the car go only in first gear up 20km ph and doest change to second gear and up and no reverse . I changed the transmission range sensor and bought a new battery and tested alternator with a specialist and said its fine which leaves me frustrated . The car is BMW e46 325i / 2001
No I never said it will solve this problem this is 1 of many problems for that gearbox. I’ve mentioned it in the video how other things can cause this problem, but in this case the loose cable caused this. Please watch the video fully before commenting…

Your best plugging it into a diagnostic machine to see what fault code comes up. It could be clutch etc…

I’d recalibrate the gears and code them in one by one and see if that makes a difference other wise am unsure.
I have the same problem on e39. Don’t know how to fix

@@sigfredozepeda3308 it can vary most commonly issue is what others have gone through in my case it was the lever as can be seen
My 07 320i has this code (a0b6 cas selector lever interlock)… any ideas how to resolve this
@@kemarharris7384 you have to check to see what’s faulty if it’s the the gear inside then not cheap if it’s just cabling then it’s cheap

Yeh it won’t show codes sometimes and one of the symptoms is it doesn’t start and if it does it will be shaky engine

Can have many causes, you have to read out errors first and describe the error in more detail here
