How to build a Kayak Rack

How to build a Kayak rack to use on a boat, on a pick up or just for storage in your yard. Using 2" PVC Piping. To support our Bonafide Kayaks. Can be used for storage or to carry your kayaks on a truck, trailer or boat. Filmed on GoPro.

The lower rack built for clearance could be used for tote storage for kayak parts with wood shelves, then two or three levels for upside down kayaks.

I am about to build a similar one to go into a cargomax utilty trailer. I am going to attach Malone See Wings to the cross members to conform to the full length keel configuration of our Crescent Kayaks. How sturdy is the rack longitudinally? I am wondering about the need to add diagonals to counteract braking/acceleration forces. (Not a big concern with my Forester though)

Did you clean the printing off the pipe ? If so how?

Not nice to get them in and out of .. rack on a 45 degree angle is a lot better

That's a very expensive apron and it keeps me clean.
