    I really enjoy the mockup stage! I can often tell what's wrong with the fit of my patterns, but rarely know how to deal with the fit problems. This is very educational!

    I can’t tell you how many times I have searched RUclips for a video of someone recreating this dress! There are a few others but they weren’t quite right and I couldn’t put my finger on it, but you have nailed it! I’m actually renting the real thing soon (can’t promise I won’t trace the pattern 😂) but will come back to this and make my own one day!
    If anyone finds a fabric similar to the metallic crinkled fabric they use please post a link here.
    Thank you for the videos, fab job!!

    YES YES YES!! I have wanted to recreate/make a dress inspired by the Vampire's Wife for years now, never got the courage, so taking this as a sign! Can't wait to see next week's video and how it looks in that gorgeous pin cord!
    PS: How is the arm mobility like in that sleeve? I was drafting a similar one, with a higher cap and volume in the head, but tighter around the arm - and after 2 mockups I still cannot move my arms!

    • @ThrillsandStitches
      @ThrillsandStitches  2 года назад +3

      Yeeeesss hope this pattern draft helps you in your endeavour!
      Actually the arm mobility is solid - it’s something I was worried about too when I made the pattern. I think from the looks of the original sleeves one is tempted to make them quite tight, but that’s not necessary - the lifted shoulder gives the fitted effect you are looking for if that’s makes sense. Let’s judge after next weeks reveal 🤭
