My 06 Tacoma 4.0 4x4 has 314k miles. Engine and transmission original. Little things like this will help my truck live a long and healthy life. Had never heard of the pcv valve. Thanks for the video. Lucky I found while looking how to clean throttle body. I did clean. Was super dirty. Soon I will spray seafoam spray in the throttle body to clean injectors.

My 06 has 242k miles. I've had her 7y without issue but someone on fb mentioned this part recently and made me think it's likely never been changed. Cheap fix too so I'll bed jumping on it. Thanx for the walkthru.

Wow that Valve was why cleaner then the one on my FJ with 170000 miles on it. Mine was stuck open from a build up of oil deposits inside the valve.
The previous owner neglected to replace it.

Dick Dyer Toyota sells the PCV valve for $4.73 US online..that’s my go to when replacing with Toyota OEM parts

Will a faulty pvc valve make the engine hesitate while accelerating??

Possibly if it's really clogged up.

Yes it will, the vc valve allows the engine to breathe the pressure in the casing
