Yes, federal law requires that they be shipped without any fluids OR if they do, the truck driver would need a Haz-Mat endorsement on his CDL to deliver tractors. The government feels it job is to jerk everybody around.
I just looked one over at a local TS in Battle Creek, Mi. I noticed a line hanging down super close to the rear tire. I chatted with summit over that weekend with some other questions. Yes, they actually messaged me back on a weekend. The following Monday I sent a photo of that line hanging down. They said they would show their service department. 30 min later they replied it wasn’t right and asked for the location of this tractor. I provided them with the information and they said they would send a service tech out. I stopped back in Wednesday to look at it again. Boy was I surprised to see that line was tucked up and out of the way. They had the issue resolved in less than 48 hours. Pretty impressive. Leaning hard on picking one of these up.
I think they'll do fine, they just have to have the tractor community have a paradigm shift about buying a tractor from a big box store versus a dealer. It's an uphill climb, but if they hang on and deliver a good product with good customer service, they'll eventually do good.
My husband and I have actually been debating on the same tractor at the Battle Creek TSC. The guy at the store also mentioned how they were out so fast to get it fixed too.
I think the reason that there is no hydraulic fluid is the tractor is shipped dry. The dealer is supposed to “Prep” the tractor including fluids. Home Depot is infamous for not prepping equipment they sell. Small things like taking off protective film is a clue. Summit has been looking for dealers across the country from what I gather from watching various videos.
It's a Solis H24 (also made by ITL) styled and optioned to Summit's specs. Both are copies of the Mahindra Max 25XL, and all three use the same Mitsubishi engine and other major components. Options and styling differentiate them. Summit themselves has acknowledged that there are 18 SCUT brands, but only 8 manufacturers behind them. Like back in the day when Ford, Lincoln, and Mercury all shared the same underpinnings from the same suppliers, factories, etc
Both the Solis and Summit are heavy for their size, and ITL is one of the largest tractor makers in the world. I think that they have the largest tractor plant in the World in India and it looked very modern. I just wonder on both brands is: parts availability and service under Warranty and beyond By the way, Summit specs their model from Solis with a special suspension seat, self leveling loader and Rim Guard filled rear tires.

I had a Mahindra max24 that was made by Mitsubishi AG and is not the same as this summit tractor. That summit tx25 is way bigger. The engine could possibly be the same as what my max24 was tho.
Lot of great additions on it for the money. Front remote, rear remote, mid PTO. Usually you have to pay extra for those on the green and orange tractors!
I looked at one at a farm store in Texas recently. The standard features make it really attractive. I thought the build quality was as good as the big name brands but at a lower price point. For one thing before you buy it you don’t start ripping the shifters apart I own a summit tractor and I can tell you what I bought the first one in Connecticut from Runnings I’ve been driving it now for two days and I’ve been working this thing and it is an amazing tractor I am very pleased for the price I paid well built by veterans and I love it
I looked at the tractor at the Putnam Runnings two weeks ago (I'm a few miles across the state line in RI). Did you negotiate on the price? Also, I don't understand you on the "start ripping the shifters apart" comment.
veterans imported it and chose the price and paint color. just making sure you understand that. they didn't build anything but a brand and distribution.
I bought a Solis H24. Made by the same people, the Summit is one more horse power, and has a few more extras. But they look identical all but the color and mine was $2000 less. Our HD now sales the Summit as well. I bought my Solis from a lawn equipment dealer that does service on site local to me. I'd probably be a little hesitant to buy one from HD. I like the fact that just up the road, I can get it serviced if needed. I love the tractor so far. I've really only got two complaints. The 3 point lift is limited for height capabilities. I can use a 5 ft bush hog, but can't lift it very high. I tried to use a rock rake recently and it wont lift high enough to get it off the ground. My potato plow barley clears the ground as well, and hits tge ground during travel. I've got a few ideas to possibly remedy the situation. The other thing is that sometimes the front bucket aggressively slams down instead of going down smoothly. It usually only does it a few times then clears up. Other than these few things, to be a small tractor, it's a work horse and has done everything I've thrown at it.
The small tractors like that are so simple I can't understand the price of the big brands if someone comes up with a decent tractor like that at a good price they will sell like hotcakes ...my grandpa always talked about when kubota first came around they couldn't give them away to the farmers now look at the price and reputation of kubota !
Thats a 2 range hydro no gears , it's not a self leveling loader you use that guide stick attached to the bucket to find level . In my area there are a lot of " badboy" little tractors like that all the sudden
Great having a stock third function on the front bucket, and still one set of remotes in the rear at least. Seems like it’s straight from the factory without a dealer “shop” getting it filled up and ready post shipping.
I'm sure these tractors would serve a small property owner well but one thing to keep in mind is that any initial cost savings (lower purchase price) would automatically be lost due to a lower resale value compared to well known and proven brands. Not to mention I can still get parts for a couple JD machines I have that are 40+ years old. Good luck in the future with these off brands.
I now have 40 hours on mine and love it, yes the rears are loaded at the price.. My joystick is a little different. The hydraulic level on mine was also low and needed a fill. They do not have a belly mower as of yet, nor a hoe. I love it and look forward to everytime I get to use it. It's perfect for our 6.5 acres.
Summit is supposed to be coming out with a larger tractor soon. 35 hp I believe. I would be interested in seeing how optioned out it comes from the factory.
ITL manufacturers for Summit and Solis is the USA brand for ITL. The engine is the S3L2 Mitsubishi engine used for at least 20 years in compact tractors and pretty bullet proof. The Solis has Interstate battery, Bosch electronics, Donaldson filtration, KYB hydrostat and more top of the line components. As for parts, Carswell OEI is the parts support for Solis. Carswell is very well regarded and been in parts since about 1948. Parts are readily available. The dealer network is growing for Solis and Summit is going boxstore online business model. Solis is bringing larger models to market. Yanmar is also a staker holder in ITL and are involved in the quality control.
Great video, love the look underneath, most people just look at features and not the bones..........after seeing this, I'm glad I went with another brand after all the hype about Summit which came out after my purchase. Good tractor, but not as heavy duty looking as what I bought. Not sure going the Home Depot route is going to be good for them, you are putting yourself in a home center product category when you are competing against other brands that are tractor dealer specific.
@georgiafatboymowingandtrac7293 Toro does not sell Tractors, Summit is trying to compete with JD, Kubota, TYM and others, not sure Home Depot will give them a tough tractor reputation.
Agree. Kinda like the Coleman/Hisun junk UTVs being sold at TSC, Lowes I think, etc. Ours lasted about 250 hours, and that after 8 months in the shop and then me doing additional work. I'd be far more inclined to buy a Massey 135 or something like that than a lawn Cadillac like these. Price isn't everything! Quality and service are the biggies.
Be careful watching these videos, tractor fever is real. I have one, I mean I have a friend with one that is five years old and has less than 50 hours on it. lol
Thank you Hank for this video. I am considering one of these and haven't been able to see one in person yet. I have read most of their web site info and watched a ton of videos about them, lots of inaccurate info in the comments. Your channel is one of very few I am subscribed to. I respect your opinion and your service.
Big problem I see is in time dirt and other debris would collect around the engine oil dipstick area. Seeing the trouble finding the socket and risking getting crap on the dipstick while reinserting during oil checks.
I looked at one today at Atwoods and noticed the joystick mounting bolts under the fender were very loose while investigating a sloppy joystick. In addition the transmission dipstick was also dry. They're advertising a backhoe attachment coming soon but the tractor doesn't appear to be backhoe compatible to me...
I think you lock that when you take the front end loader off so you don't put undue pressure on the lines without the loader being on. At least that's what I do on my tractor.
IT has 2 ranges on the aux transmission and hydrostat on the main. IT does not have gears otherwise. Has front hitch, not drawbar. Seems at this time a little pricey. A lot of times the hydraulic oil need to be topped off after awhile as the air has to be purged from all the cylinders and valves. Service after the sale buying from Home Depot would be NOTA.
I love my Bad Boy 1022 but this tractor is even better value! Bigger engine, multiple valves, and the price is well under. I think it is aimed at people like me, 3 to 5 acres with mainly cleanup and grass mowing. If I didn’t already have my BB 1022 I would have considered this tractor as final purchase. I think JD and Kubota should take note of this tractor. The 1025 and BX series is going to lose market share to Summit and Bad Boy. Or maybe they just don’t care?
Oh they care, competition makes everyone better. I imagine Kubota and JD will respond if they take away from their sales. I am a green and orange person, but I welcome the competition so nobody gets cocky. 😆 LOL
Resale value on Kubota and John Deere are unmatched. Not to mention tried and proven, what happens if summit or bad boy go out of business in 10-15 years? Good luck getting parts and service.
They care. When I worked at Kubota in Jefferson GA we got the JD quality lectures weekly. Always talking about the competition but they treated us like crap.
I would never even think of buying a tractor from Home Depot. Where would you take it for service or get parts? Go to a dealership and build a relationship with them.
Manufactured by ITL out of India, 3rd largest tractor producer there. Been around since 1960, and trying to break into the US market. Looks decent and has quite a few features for the price.
$20K and then what? Lift and dump a wheel barrow full of dirt. When you burn the transaxle up because there is no oil in it. Good luck with Home Depot doing anything. Looks to me like a bad investment. If you really need a tractor that size, rent one for $200 a day and then you will tell yourself, glad I didn't buy one of these coat hangers.
Who said Home Depot services them? No one. Have fun waiting months for any service on a Kubota or Deere. Deere was sued because they dont release any manuals and make every customer bring their tractor into a dealership for repair due to the contracts they have with them. Catastrophic tractor issues are 1 in 1000 the rest are replacing seals, filters, fluid ect. Which any tractor owner can do for themselves.
That oil filter is hanging pretty low on below the right floorboard there, that’d ruin your day bumping that. Thanks for the walk around on that tractor. Good video 🇺🇸🦅🇺🇸
This tractor has more options than my new Mahindra 1635 such as 7 point plug for lights, rear adjustable light, and bigger tool box. Also comes with 3rd function, that's huge. So far so good.
I looked at them at a farm supply. I don’t like the way to get at the machine to service it . The hood is low when up making hard to get in there and the dipstick is in a bad place as stated here in the video. I will stick with the Bobcat or Kioti !
Rear axle is a leak waiting to happen Does it have the drive over easy attach belly mower? does the front loader quick detach ? I looked up the price and it cost more than John Deere 1023e . CRAZY JUNK
I like my tires the tires do not tear up my grass I can run this thing all day and it hasn’t even moved on with your grade on fuel there is no emissions so you don’t have to worry about putting dents in it it’s all around a beautiful tractor and they are going to make a bigger one in the future and you can get the parts from Summit you can get attachments and every other thing we need so far I’m very highly impressed
I would bet you got your hands slapped a lot as a kid LOL. This looks good to me and with over 50 years of working farm equipment the only way to know more is climb on and put it to work, Good job!. Thank you.
Good Works tractor on RUclips has had a pre production version for some time and has a lot of videos on it. This is cheaper than smaller 1025r, BX 23s and can outwork it. A bit bigger than I need but my Farmer buddies have said buy a little bigger than you think you need..
I wonder if the loader stick is made that way for adjusting it (depending on the arm length of the user). You may have to tighten it once the position is comfortrable.
I haven’t read all the comments but when you checked the hydraulics you should have rechecked it. A lot of systems will hold pressure and need to burp off the air. I’ll bet you were probably the first to check it since it was moved to that location. Great video though. I’m looking at getting one. Thanks!
Courtney at good works tractor has been testing and using one for like a year. His review has sold me on them. For the price and all the stock features it seems hard to beat
Beware, these are not the same tractor as his. There are a lot of differences between his prototype and the ones for sale now, build quality being much better on the prototype
@@chief1193 I've looked at a Summit tractor locally and couldn't see any difference between Courtney's and the one I viewed at Runnings. What are the those differences? As to build quality are you stating unsupported opinion or do you have first hand knowledge with this tractor that you can expound upon?
Looks like a good value. Only question is durability. My 1025R came with a two year warranty, no third function, and a battery that's that way too hard to access. I like JD because it's an American icon and after 2 1/2 years I only had to replace one front tire. JD's are status symbols. That's one reason I bought mine, to be honest. But that Summit tractor looks like a winner with that third function ability. Excellent video.
@@brandtwebber5761 What isn't Chinese these days? Some of the Asian stuff I have is of excellent quality. I'm as patriotic as the next guy. I salute whoever gives me quality and price. Just don't tread on me.
The proof will be in the pudding on how good these tractors hold up. Keep in mind manufacturers often use its customers for quality control to keep developmental costs down. You won’t know if you bought a POS or not until you’ve seen how durable it is, difficulty getting warranty work done and buying repair/replacement parts. Personally, I’d like to hear from those who bought the tractor and see their experiences before buying.
@@hhamilton1970will come with a Warranty plus probably a full return policy for 30 60 or even 90 days. I'd take an E-GO Zero Turn from Lowes et al as you're in business in your side hustle straight away that is the *ULTIMATE* in "time is money. That machine is well under $10,000 and using that savings if this is your budget you're getting every maintenance for lawn and garden imaginable...plus just plug the item in your garage to a regular Wall outlet. And I think *"The Industry"* now suddenly recognizes this as well. Very impressive *"feature rich"* feature set. The E-GO does have a steering wheeling now as well with a full on LCD Display on that mechanism which, again.... Zero Turn good luck being the simplicity of that. Lots of room for far greater upgrades as well. Surprised no one from Home Depot came out to try and sell this item.
If you could get use 10% off coupon that would be good deal. It’s actually a hard loaded tractor for the price. My problem would be no dealer support..
Went to my local hydraulic hose repair. He had an off brand tractor that he couldn't find parts for. Not an old model either. If you can find parts he said they usually aren't cheap.
Brock over at Rockhill farms has a friend with one and has a youtube channel also. That may help out a few folks. He had a 1025r deer and got the summit tractor
Yeah but Brock is all about John Deere so I probably wouldn’t be his friend. I’m totally joking, me and Brock are good buddies. He’s got an awesome RUclips channel! 😂
I bought my TX25 in September 2023 and have 190 hours on it. It’s been very reliable and any issue I’ve had has been addressed by Summit quickly. Parts availability has also been excellent. Most have been covered under warranty and anything I’ve needed to order has arrived very quickly. All in all, I highly recommend giving a Summit TX25 serious consideration if you’re shopping around. Call the company and share your concerns if you have any. They’re great to work with.
You sure about that? That looks like a mechanical self leveling mechanism on the loader. Aside from large payloaders I’ve never seen hydraulic self leveling
I bought a Summit tractor a few months ago and I can comfortably say that for the money it’s superior to all other brands at the same price point with matching features. I do wish they carried a cabbed version and I would have purchased that but I’m content without it. Are there better tractors? Yea I’d say maybe but you’ll pay a hefty premium on the name alone. If I’d waiting spend double the money I’d have gotten a cat and I was in between a kioti and a kuboda but the both were priced considerably higher for the same features. I’m about to cross 100 hours which is a lot for only a couple months but it still functions like the day I bought it.
Courtney has been pushing this brand hard on bud Good Works Tractor Channel. I’ll say here what I say there. I’ll see what they look like in 2-3 years and see how they hold up as well as parts availability in that time frame. When it looks to good to be true, it usually is.
I've been looking at the Summit for several month! It has a lot of standard featiues like the auto leveling bucket, twin mirrors, the front and rear hydraulic valves and loaded tires!
Howboutcha! Man I love the look of dark tint on tractors and machines 😍 it makes such a difference out in the middle of a field in the summer or in a gravel pit loading out material makes it so much easier for the ac to keep up even here in New England it gets darn hot in the summer! Tints also nice if your hiding out and got to catch a quick nap lol
Ford needs to start making the 8n or 9n or todays model a 24n tractor no frills just like the 1949 stuff and all manual transmission with gears no hydrostatic stuff. Frt loaded rear excavator options.
Greetings from Reno,Nevada. I was just in Chandler, Oklahoma. I saw two of these at an Atwood’s. I got out and did the same inspection as you in the rain. I took a brochure. I will look in my area. I would buy this. I have 2.5 acres os scrubbed sage brush.
I like the colors, the features and the looks. I would be concerned about parts and service. I think I want one the next size up. Not sure if the price is right or not. I know Home Depot won’t haggle though.
It looks ok but if you ask one of the folks working there about that dry reading on that hydro dip sticks they will give you that deer in the head lights look because last week they were in shovels and rakes , Thanks .
Am I the only one that thinks the axles look strange? Those are not axle housing. Those are the actual axles. Look more like a front wheel drive axle. Most tractors axle housing comes all the way out to the wheels supporting the weight in the torque of the tractor. This just has the axle sticking out that far? How good could that be?.
I don't know much about axles but my first thought is the same as yours. I tend to be tough on my stuff so I was hoping someone more knowledgeable would answer this question.
@@robertstambaugh8242 All I can Tell you is to look at how other brands are made. Too have that much axel sticking out unsupported doesn't seem like a very good thing. I have a Kubota and it has an axel housing coming out all the way to the wheel. now mines a 4 wheel drive so I'm not sure if that's why.
Its showing low because the bucket is in dump position and is using that amount of hydraulic oil hopefully they wouldn't be loading and unloading the tractor with it dry
They have a service provider lookup on their website. For me in northeast Alabama the closest is about 52 miles at the actual Summit Assembly and Service center in Rome, GA. A couple of the other places listed are Solis tractor dealers. In my home state of Mississippi it looks like it would be a 100+ mile trip to Alabama or Louisiana.
Love the rear remotes, seat, work lights and 12v outlet, but idk if I'd trade the resale value and known reliability of my Kubota... Damn sure wish she had em tho
I have one of those and that one is different than mine. They made some changes to it. I dont think they are offering a mid mount mower due to the weight of the tractor. If you want to drive to Vincent, AL you can use mine.........lol
@@Tonyrd3000 The high/low range selector had a lot of play in it. Found the spring roll pin and selector was deformed due to kids/people using it like a 5 speed transmission lol. Brakes needed adjusted.
The 25HP Summit is roughly equal to the JD 2025r in size/hp but much heavier on factory features. With that, I got a price on the Summit for $19500.00 with loader today. The Deere website has the 2025r for $22100.00 without the loader. If I needed a 25hp loader tractor for business, I would straight up give the Summit a shot.
So if you need any warranty repair are you taking your Summit back to Home Depot? Haha. A reliable dealer network is critical and Summit doesn't have it now. Maybe it will develop in the future or they will end up like Montana tractors.
@@andrewgee241 - Yep. I'm not really worried about warranty repairs. If anything, I'd be more concerned with parts availability because John Deere also has problems getting parts.
I have Solis 26 6+2 transmission. Its a compact not a professional tractor. But for now im very satisfied with it. Its a little slow and transmission is not brilliant, but hey you get for the money a lot of tractor. Its robust, easy to maintain. You buy it for ease the job around property. Also i have parts and service near my home. They build a parts distribution centre in Germany also. Have some positivity and faith in "no name" brands. P. S. Compact John Deeres... are also made in India. ITL(Solis, Summit) is big company, they are not new around. 60 years of history in manufacturing machines.
Thinking about one of these to replace my old 'classic' John Deere Model B which is 'bare' (no hydraulics) therefore it is useless to me except to pull a brush hog. (and it's just an old classic cool tractor). My daughter has horses and we could use a more versatile tractor to shove around manure and so forth the B is just not versatile enough for our needs and I get nervous about that spinning open flywheel every time I run it. So it's time to upgrade..wondering if something like the Summit is worth the investment or spending more money on a 'name' brand like John Deere or Kubota and get the established service and support.
@@hhamilton1970 It don't make me want to buy one that's for sure . If it is really owned buy vets then make the tractor here at home in the US of A . With American made components.
Looks more dime store quality than my Mahindra Emax 25l, Look at them, call around for a part or service as if you have one broken. How long to wait to get parts of service cost or warranty? To much money if has a problem years down the road, Maybe not
Reliability? I had a new JD2025r and had several issues, had 2 seat switches stop working in the first year and an issue with fuel getting to the motor. I feel JD is far too expensive to own or repair. Time to give someone else a chance at an affordable price.
I also bought a JD2025R with the belly mower, loader, and backhoe. It was in the shop 9 times within the first 6 months. The dealer put way more hours on the tractor testing their repairs than I did at home. Do I believe in a dealer network? Yes I do, and it will be interesting to see what equipment dealers Summit partners with for service. Do I believe in JD? Absolutely not. My local dealer could not repair my tractor. After 8 times, I finally had to show them what to fix and then the tractor was ok. I sold it. Resale value??? Resale value??? Yes, I sold a 1 year old JD2025R for more than the Summit cost new, but I took a substantial hit on a 1 year old tractor. There is really only one advantage that I can see with JD over any other brand currently on the market and that is their mower quick attach capability - really fantastic. I have an 8 year old MF 1736 and it has been in the shop ZERO times in 8 years. I'm glad to see some affordable SCUT folks come along in the marketplace.
Not a fan of Mistubishi. I recall all the Mistubishi tractors, cars, trucks you could buy for next to nothing because of parts issues (especially diesel parts). That kept me from buying a mahindra and would also keep me away from summit or solis. Lots of nice standard features though but realize there is no dealer network, near zero resale. Wonder if it has dual fuction hydraulics? Kioti and Kubota do, JD does not. The quick attach looked proprietary and not standard qa (Deere does proprietary stuff also). Loader come off easy, quickly? Summit tractor probably not for me but really does have alot of standards that are options on others.

veterans imported it and chose the price and paint color. just making sure you understand that. they didn't build anything but a brand and distribution.
Thanks for the comment. Good to hear from people who actually own tractors like these
The small tractors like that are so simple I can't understand the price of the big brands if someone comes up with a decent tractor like that at a good price they will sell like hotcakes ...my grandpa always talked about when kubota first came around they couldn't give them away to the farmers now look at the price and reputation of kubota !
I hear ya
Thats a 2 range hydro no gears , it's not a self leveling loader you use that guide stick attached to the bucket to find level . In my area there are a lot of " badboy" little tractors like that all the sudden
Great having a stock third function on the front bucket, and still one set of remotes in the rear at least. Seems like it’s straight from the factory without a dealer “shop” getting it filled up and ready post shipping.
👍
What's frustrating is the big brands won't put those options on, like mirrors and remotes.
Half of dealers cant even get prep right, cant imagine an 18yo working at HD is going to top the hydros off.
I compared all of these exact same options and features with the TYM T25H. I got a quote from a local TYM dealer and I am more than satisfied.
Summit is supposed to be coming out with a larger tractor soon. 35 hp I believe. I would be interested in seeing how optioned out it comes from the factory.
Me too
Like to see one with a cab. Are they coming to northern Indiana soon?
Good point
Toro sold big box stores and dealer. Still one of the best mowers and with high sales.
I have no need or reason for a tractor but for some reason I just watched 25 min video on one 😂
Right on! Thank you :)
Be careful watching these videos, tractor fever is real. I have one, I mean I have a friend with one that is five years old and has less than 50 hours on it. lol
Thank you. I've been looking at this model for a couple months. I appreciate the camera angles, especially the underside.
👍
Thank you Hank for this video. I am considering one of these and haven't been able to see one in person yet. I have read most of their web site info and watched a ton of videos about them, lots of inaccurate info in the comments. Your channel is one of very few I am subscribed to. I respect your opinion and your service.
Thank you. Just pointed out the things I saw. No agenda. I appreciate you watching and commenting
Interesting
It had a lot of good features
Oh they care, competition makes everyone better. I imagine Kubota and JD will respond if they take away from their sales. I am a green and orange person, but I welcome the competition so nobody gets cocky. 😆 LOL
@@jimmcknight3021 well I was a cut me and I bled JD green until I laid eyes on Bad Boy. The price tag clinched the deal. Now I bleed BB orange.
On the control sticks. they are adjustable angle so you find what angle you want then lock them in. Nice feature.
Thank you
This tractor has more options than my new Mahindra 1635 such as 7 point plug for lights, rear adjustable light, and bigger tool box. Also comes with 3rd function, that's huge. So far so good.
I’ve read several comments from you on my channel. You seem like a stand up guy! Maybe we’ll meet one day😂
@@hhamilton1970 I'd like to meet you one day but I need to get out of prison first. I'm in the pen for stalking my last RUclips personality. Heehee
Thank you Hank. I seen these for sale in Charlevoix Michigan at the family home and farm store. And I personally was curious. Thanks again!
Yes sir
I’ve owned one for about a month and I can’t complain ! It’s done everything I’ve asked of it so far without skipping a beat
I looked at them at a farm supply. I don’t like the way to get at the machine to service it . The hood is low when up making hard to get in there and the dipstick is in a bad place as stated here in the video. I will stick with the Bobcat or Kioti !
Its making oil but will it start?
Rear axle is a leak waiting to happen Does it have the drive over easy attach belly mower? does the front loader quick detach ? I looked up the price and it cost more than John Deere 1023e . CRAZY JUNK
I answered some of that in the video.
Their website says rim guard in tires. Lots of standard features.
👍
Where is the mid mount mower? Thanks for the tour.
I didn't see one at the store.
Good to hear 👍👍 thanks for leaving the comment.
I would bet you got your hands slapped a lot as a kid LOL. This looks good to me and with over 50 years of working farm equipment the only way to know more is climb on and put it to work, Good job!. Thank you.
@5:53 - How hard were you pulling on that joystick? And are you related to Hercules by any chance? :)
I've never really looked into these tractors before but they have some cool features, great video!
Thanks 👍
Good Works tractor on RUclips has had a pre production version for some time and has a lot of videos on it. This is cheaper than smaller 1025r, BX 23s and can outwork it. A bit bigger than I need but my Farmer buddies have said buy a little bigger than you think you need..
I wonder if the loader stick is made that way for adjusting it (depending on the arm length of the user). You may have to tighten it once the position is comfortrable.
May be. Didn’t think of that.
A video from Good Works Tractors introduced the Summit Tractors and the man who makes them in the last year or so.
Yeah I saw that. Good video
For the price and all the stock features it seems hard to beat
yeah he's put out some good content on them for sure
Beware, these are not the same tractor as his. There are a lot of differences between his prototype and the ones for sale now, build quality being much better on the prototype
@@chief1193 I've looked at a Summit tractor locally and couldn't see any difference between Courtney's and the one I viewed at Runnings. What are the those differences? As to build quality are you stating unsupported opinion or do you have first hand knowledge with this tractor that you can expound upon?
Good Works is using the standard one now. If anything, it upgraded what he had according to his video.@@chief1193
Thank you
You do realize JD is Chinese below like 75 hp, not trying to be mean but it is what it is.
@@brandtwebber5761 What isn't Chinese these days? Some of the Asian stuff I have is of excellent quality. I'm as patriotic as the next guy. I salute whoever gives me quality and price. Just don't tread on me.
Summit comes with a 3 year full warranty and a 7 year powertrain
The proof will be in the pudding on how good these tractors hold up. Keep in mind manufacturers often use its customers for quality control to keep developmental costs down. You won’t know if you bought a POS or not until you’ve seen how durable it is, difficulty getting warranty work done and buying repair/replacement parts. Personally, I’d like to hear from those who bought the tractor and see their experiences before buying.
Yeah, I don’t know anyone personally that has one.
@@doolittlegeorgeNo one in their right mind would use An E -go for a lawn service. What do you do carry a generator to charge it between stops?
Good works tractors displays the summit all the time and personally I really like the summit and would purchase one if I was looking for a compact
Yeah they have a lot of good features for sure
@@hhamilton1970 thank you for showing us the summit. Love your videos . God bless
Yes and Hardy Brothers Outdoors are showcasing the Solis.
We own one and it’s great. No issues and have been running it hard. Have grapple and just got stump bucket.
Nice!
Cleveland tn home depot sells them too. I was just there. Surprised me but pretty cool too.
Right on.
@@hhamilton1970 your not wrong 😂
I watched a video of a guy doing his 50hr fluid/filter change! The oil filter was painted over so it was a bear to get off.
Great review.. I have a T474 TYM tractor with cab and back hoe.. I like my tractor cept for the fuel tank is too small.. Less than eight gallons..
Im buying it cause my wife said I could
😂😂😂😂
I bought my TX25 in September 2023 and have 190 hours on it. It’s been very reliable and any issue I’ve had has been addressed by Summit quickly. Parts availability has also been excellent. Most have been covered under warranty and anything I’ve needed to order has arrived very quickly.
All in all, I highly recommend giving a Summit TX25 serious consideration if you’re shopping around. Call the company and share your concerns if you have any. They’re great to work with.
Is the operators station cramped if you have big feet even without boots ?
Pulling the loader lever all the way back is actuating the self leveling loader function 👍
Hmm. Didn’t know that
You sure about that? That looks like a mechanical self leveling mechanism on the loader. Aside from large payloaders I’ve never seen hydraulic self leveling
Great video ....the tug o war was surprising I thought the heavier one would've pull a little ...the 223 is impressive
Thanks for the feedback. Interesting to hear from real owners 👍
Looking at their site, they are planning on a cabbed model and a larger HP model in the near future.
Lol. It does look good. I’m thinking about doing mine
It looks great but can really screw you over while working at night.
@lwwarren I had one truck at 5% all the way around and the only part that bothered me for plowing at night was having crank windows
I like the way you went over it you did a lot better job displaying the tractor and what it has than Courty did
Ford needs to start making the 8n or 9n or todays model a 24n tractor no frills just like the 1949 stuff and all manual transmission with gears no hydrostatic stuff.
Frt loaded rear excavator options.
I heard that 👍👍
Yes I really like my 1950 rebuilt 8N ford tractor just wish it had "live hydraulics". After complete rebuild and new tires $9000 invested.
Yeah I think it would be a good fit for that type of “homestead”
I like the colors, the features and the looks. I would be concerned about parts and service. I think I want one the next size up. Not sure if the price is right or not. I know Home Depot won’t haggle though.
I’d say it’s a nice $9,999 tractor
It looks ok but if you ask one of the folks working there about that dry reading on that hydro dip sticks they will give you that deer in the head lights look because last week they were in shovels and rakes , Thanks .
The problem with HD is that there's no Customer support and what about parts Availabilitie ?
Its showing low because the bucket is in dump position and is using that amount of hydraulic oil hopefully they wouldn't be loading and unloading the tractor with it dry
they look good but how about available service? home depot does not offer a repair service, you have to find your own
You don’t have to find your own. They tell you where to take it to get serviced👍
Right on. Do you like it?
@@hhamilton1970 Oh yea, it has a couple quirks but overall a really good tractor.

@@natekelsi What kind of quirks have you found?
@@Tonyrd3000 The high/low range selector had a lot of play in it. Found the spring roll pin and selector was deformed due to kids/people using it like a 5 speed transmission lol. Brakes needed adjusted.
The 25HP Summit is roughly equal to the JD 2025r in size/hp but much heavier on factory features. With that, I got a price on the Summit for $19500.00 with loader today.
The Deere website has the 2025r for $22100.00 without the loader. If I needed a 25hp loader tractor for business, I would straight up give the Summit a shot.
Right on.
I like the rear remote! I have had several 30 HP tractors (JD, NH) and they did not have remotes.
Not sure I like the small diameter axles... my JD755 has much larger diameter axles that extend much closer to the rims..
Looks like a handy and value homestead tractor, thankyou Hank.
Nice tractor!! I can’t believe it comes with the third function mid PTO and rim guard installed. Even though it’s not true third function, it works.
Right on
The Home Depot in Huntsville also carries these tractors
When I pull the dipstick on my Kubota I get the same result no oil reinstall the stick pull again and now there’s oil. That’s in the transmission
Just paid the same price for a same sized Kubota and I know where to get parts and repairs. Just saying.
Have you looked at the Kioti tractors ? Seem to have more bang for the buck
I get the hole vetrain owned .but how does made In India aline with a vetrain owned company ? It don't add up .
They just own the company that imports them

Home D for service and warranty, No! the bottom side needs shielding as well as the hydraulic filter.
Looks more dime store quality than my Mahindra Emax 25l, Look at them, call around for a part or service as if you have one broken. How long to wait to get parts of service cost or warranty? To much money if has a problem years down the road, Maybe not
I saw them at HD in Knoxville, Tennessee
Reliability? I had a new JD2025r and had several issues, had 2 seat switches stop working in the first year and an issue with fuel getting to the motor. I feel JD is far too expensive to own or repair. Time to give someone else a chance at an affordable price.
Yeah they have some good features that are standard . Time will tell how they do👍
I also bought a JD2025R with the belly mower, loader, and backhoe.
Any 3 cyl diesel utility tractor would better than the one i have
I bought a bobcat 1025 two years ago and would not even consider one of these. My 1025 is the nicest compact tractor I have owned
I dont want to have to send my wife to India to get a fanbelt.
lol
