- Today's video? We deep clean the nasty wheel arches on my BMW F30! The not so ideal roads in Canada often do a number on these parts of cars and giving them a thorough scrub a couple times a year is critical to keeping them somewhat intact. The plastics get dressed, callipers polished, and then finally hit with a Kamikaze ceramic coating for both the brakes and brand new Apex Race Parts wheels! Massive shoutout to them for making awesome performance oriented wheels. I hope you guys enjoy the video and like seeing the progress of this daily driver. I know its not 30 years old, but I like it :).

Okay I see the M calipers and what looks to be aftermarket springs and I get the lug conversion but why no cross drilled and slotted rotors??
for a hot sec i though the brake rotors weren’t gonna clear the studs but then i used my eyes and realized you’re chillin
Haha yeah it scares me how short the mounting thread is on all studs. But I guess when you see how far a lug bolt actually goes in it’s no different

Beautiful work sir! Quality service, with high standards and great videography. I really like your style so I've just subbed. BTW, I've recently been gifted a 1999 Porsche Boxster with only 27,000 miles on it and overall it's in very good shape. However, it's never been properly detailed, and the wheel barrels have NEVER been touched. I just spent the better part of 4 hours cleaning just the barrels and they're still not clean enough for my liking, although they are silver now instead of deep black when I started, haha. Hopefully some polishing will take out the mild discoloration spots.

I have a stupid question my brain was taken for a loop when you change lug nuts to stems. Do you have to use spacers when you do that ?
Shouldn't have to, no. Wheels should just got back on as normal.
Depending on the length of the studs, they might 'stick out' a bit.
Also, you might need to consider longer studs if you were to use spacers, to make sure there's enough thread for the nut to wind down on
No such thing as stupid questions bro! You know this haha. You don’t have to use spacers, they do allow you the ability to more safely run spacers. However it’s not the purpose. For me it’s the ease of use, sliding a wheel onto a stud is a lot easier than trying to find holes with the bolts. As well as they are lighter and I think they look better 😎

do you mount the tyres onto wheels yourself? people here always damage wheels while changing tyres... it's started making my diamond cut finish corrode now because of small damage while fitting wheels :(
I don't personally do it! Yeah so many shops are not careful, I have also have wheels damaged in the psst. Very sad!
What is the use washing, cleaning and polishing using so many products without cleaning the red dirty rust on disk and it's souroundings area, fitting shiny alloys on the rust won't last long to catch rust on the alloys soon
the disk will be rust free the first time the brakes are used and they will rust again 10 minutes after getting wet again. there is nothing you can do
@@frzen disk can be clean after use but i am talking about the place where bolt are put, you can,clean, paint, sand blast, dry ice etc, some many options

Looks great! The F30 has a very aggressive stance with the H&R springs. What’s the wheel size you went with for the APEX wheels?
How often would you polish the calipers? I have 2” pad conversion and may jump on that next time I deep clean the arches.

The wheels are 19x9. I love the 18s everyone does in Apex wheels but since the car came with oem 20s I thought they would look too small. Very happy with 19s!
