As much as I wish Samara was a more traditional romance option I always appreciated their restraint when it came to the character's motivations and purpose. Shepard and Samara are similar in their devotion and sense of duty, which made for a bittersweet but realistic interpersonal relationship. They probably could've been one hell of a power couple, but they both had a job to do.
True, although the purely emotional romance you can have with her _is_ pretty powerful, for how little content there actually is of it. From the stiff but wavered abstention she shows in ME2 when you make your feelings known and she reluctantly rebuffs, to that single passionate kiss in the Citadel expansion. They could've sold her character out for needless fan service, but what little bit of her other side we see in those encounters, it's so much more meaningful. ...Betraying her for her daughter in my most recent playthrough actually _hurt,_ which proved a novel experience.
@@joshuagross3151 I never could bring myself to choose to defend her daughter, even in renegade runs. I think I did it once because I wanted to see how good the dominate mind ability was in new game+, but other than that...
It is incredibly beatiful music. I didn't have a chance to appreciate it properly while playing (though I have played, like, 6 times), so thank you for this piece.

Yesterday, Samara died during my first playthrough of ME2 Legendary Edition. The only casualty. Rest in peace. I am so sorry, I'll do better on my next playthrough...never should have sent you in there with the 2nd fire team...:(
Just realized about a minute and ten seconds in... that whole part of the song reminds me alot of the music you'd find in Kirkwall in Dragon Age 2. Like... i think it's when you're in Darktown or Lowtown at night??? huh Nice.
There's such a profound element of tragedy in this music, almost like a vague glimpse into the future 😕🙁... minus the massive house overlooking a snow scape 😅😛
@@Nyghtgirl27 It's the Mass Effect Universe, I'm sure there's drones for that. And when they malfunction, you can act like a Krogan mercenary and call them a stupid machine! 😅😆🤣

Was always happy to see Samara in Mass Effect 3, great women with a great personality.
Hackett out.
Admiral Hackett why the fuck are you still alive you piece of shit

There's nothing wrong with Admiral Hackett.

Characters, story, gameplay, soundtrack, visuals.
Perfection.
ME ruined every other game for me because nothing comes close.
@Bengu Wengu Nope.
Same...
Dragon Age does, naturally. But that's really it.
ME would have been perfection if not for the ending that ruined it.
The Witcher 3 and RDR2 come close but Mass Effect 2 is still superior. At least for me.
Played this tune many time while reading Death's end of Cixin Liu. So epic
Just realised parts of the music also contain elements of the 'Charges of Treason' theme from Tali's suite via Mass Effect 2.
Good ear
This really reminds me of Dune, could fit right in between Hnas Zimmers soundtrack!
Just about to say that!
Such a tragic character :(
Paragon she's not too tragic
what a glorious view tho
Got so hyped in the mission when I heard this. Samara is so cool man.
Samara is crazy her strict code drove her mad she was really about to kill herself for no reason good thing Shepard had common sense
This music is a work of art

I have been listening to this on loop for the last 3 weeks. I need to play ME trilogy again
This is my go to track for writing fan fiction. Thanks for the ambience! 💕😁
This is reminds me Prince of Persia.. but in space + sci-fi
Nice =D
true beauty of Mass Effect

Am I the only one who hears a bit from Saki Kaskas Callista (which played in Afterlife club in ME2) here?
It is indeed a some sort of ambient remix of Callista, I was pretty surprised when first noticed that heh
Oh my Goodness I had forgotten this theme. What I love about this game is that there's so much good content

It was Mordin for me. My sympathies!

I chose Garrus in the 2nd Team and he lived. Garrus has good combat experience.

Very well conducted thanks for sharing
this is incredible
Fun fact, this song on the me2 complete soundtrack was called "Rumination." Very apt.
where can you find the complete soundtrack
Thank you 🙏
So, I'm guessing that's Samara in the 'view' before the 'very good, I almost didn't hear you' bit?
