100 percent agree with you about floppies! whle it might seem masochistic to others, I have so much software on floppy disk that it makes more sense to use a floppy drive.. and believe it or not, I actually love the sound of dot matrix printers and floppy disk drives 😂
We love floppies today because of the nostalgia, but back then when we were young it was like, come on, it's taking so long to load. 😆 I think the Amiga community could use a floppy drive and CRT monitor fix it shop. Can you imagine the shipping on a CRT these days, yikes!
CRTs are very hard to come by. I’ve had two and both have died. Also they take up a lot of space. I prefer TV type LCD screens too. Over computer style. As they have lower pixel counts and look “softer.” Does a nice job balancing the look. Not so crispy. Also I prefer A cleaner look since most of what I use on Amigas are creative and productivity software. Not games. The cleanest image possible is ideal. The 16:9 panel also allows me to easily display the Amiga’s regular proper aspect ratio too. Which of course is not 1:1 or square pixels. Then when I do wish to use VGA style modes, even 16:9, I have that option. Maybe I should make a video about this? :)
@@HoldandModify I guess. Productivity is one thing but... I don't know, it still feels soulless with LCD's. Even a shitty older late 90s CRT with VGA inputs would be fine.
Hell yeah. Nice collection
I’ve got more too. Just beed more shelf space.
I hear that

The sound is great. it’s a form of music!
Yeah, the ticking of the drive is what makes Amiga magical. And the MS-DOS machines as well. Or whatever else you fancied back in the day.
@@EnglishPolishOnlineI agree completely mate 💾💻

Don’t have to imagine. When done correctly. It’s expensive. ;)
Yeah, playing from real disks is much more fun:) I don't even bother with WHDload, I merely have a Gotek if I want an easier solution.
I play a lot of simulation as well. Keyboard overlays a must!
Always found pairing of an old school Amiga with an LCD monitor to be weird. Wouldn't it feel more legit with more of a 4:3 type CRT monitor?
