If you ride around in New Austin for 1 hour in that mission, you can get all the items. If you take a while longer, you can studie, track, kill, skin and pluck all normal animals there for the compendium. So indeed well worth it. John only has to pick the remaining herbs, send the dino bones locations to the lady and kill the 3 legendary animals. Or you take a buggy and do that as Arthur too.
@@Zennique I’ve seen some RUclipsrs try the buggy method and it looks very difficult, so I think I’ll give that a miss. I will try to get everything else done. Just a shame that Arthur couldn’t get into New Austin in the first place.
@@Zennique i have done it and at some certain point.. when you are passing half the map of new austin, the invisible sniper still hits you..even though that your head ain't showing.... and that is very frustrating. The Covered wagon is more easy to get around strawberry and it covers more, but it's still a pain in the A$$ trying not to get shot eventually.
You can't keep anything while replaying. No money, weapons, horses, hats etc. So if you want the cap, you have to start over or get it in Epilogue with John. It still be there.
That’s quite a ride! But well worth it for one of the most random hats in the game.
