My very first ship i worked on back in 1997! So many changes, your first always has a special place in your heart ❤️ 🚢
We've cruised this ship many times in over twenty years and our favorite. While not a huge ship, it's perfect. Glad to see that it was saved from the scrappers torch. It was looking a little rough back in 2016. We had our picture taken at the bottom of the stairs in 2016.💖
Hey Chris, Tampa here. I have some great memories of the Grandeur, from sailing her many years ago from Tampa on two occasions . I will be on her again May 20, '23, out of Tampa, and your video has revised my navigation as to the decks, etc. I still love the smaller ships, and can't wait for this cruise. Good detailed tour, thank you. We are sailing on her in January. I booked this one because its one of the few older/smaller ships. We got married on Majesty back in '99 ( Sovereign class) which are now gone 😔.

Thanks Chris! Like how there’s plenty of spots to get coffee and the soda machines seems to be well placed. That’s a nice view from the Windjammer. Never sailed on Royal yet.

Thanks for the tour! Seventeen members of my family and I were on Wonders of the Seas November 2022 (Thanksgiving week). Although we had a beautiful and very active time, my hubby, 3 sons and I look forward to cruising on Grandeur of the Seas and winding down a bit. We also chose this ship for it ports of call.
We are getting that vitamin Sea on the Grandeur of the Sea in June 24' for our 5th wedding anniversary ❤

We'll, we got back from our cruise. Grandeur of the Seas was very well maintained for its age, but we did have some issues. Our cruise was for 7 nights, and while we were hoping for relaxation, things got a little boring after a few days. We'd probably sail on it a again if it were maybe a 4 or 5 night cruise, at the most.

Mostly I just use my phone a Samsung s21 and sometimes a GoPro 7 black in port
I am cruising this ship the end of July for a friends 50th birthday! Are you able to tell me if there are mainly couples on this ship or are there a mix of single groups as well?
On our sailing it appeared to be mostly couples but they have get togethers for single and solo travelers

Main dining room, buffet, and the little park cafe are included. The specialty restaurants have an additional charge

is the pools closed still. because my parents are going ok the same one. and my dad is wondering if all the stuff that is closed in the video is still closed
They only drained the pool due to bad weather, it was open again the next day

Royal Caribbean has 3 drink packages, specialty coffee comes with all but the soda package and you can all get a coffee card as another option

Were the pools closed a lot?
Just during the bad weather
That is a older ship but however it still look good!
We have 2 kids and a teen, how is the entertainment with it being an older ship? Secondly, how is the food quality?
The food was good but the smaller ships don’t have as much to do that kids like compared to bigger ships
is Grandeur Vision Class or is it actually a Sovereign class? (You mentioned 1997 so I was guessing that it might actually be a Sovereign...also, its just so..TINY)

We just got off of Harmony of the Seas today (Feb 26, 2023). Our second day on board we booked our next cruise. We were looking mainly at the ports of call. The cruise we chose just happened to be on Grandeur so of course I started researching. I’m excited to try a small ship next time. Less people and more islands…I’m game. Excellent video!

2 weeks ago we got off oasis of the seas. Our 4th day of our cruise we booked our next cruise. We were also looking for different ports of call so we ended up booking grandeour of the seas for feb 2024. We have an 8 yr old daugjter, do u think it would be a good cruise for her? Didnt come a ross with any kids activities on board? On the other hand we got ocean view room and offered 2500 cad for an interior room ..same room was 1800 cad on sellofvacations .. couldnt believe my eyes ..
We’re sailing on Grandeur in Oct. It will be new for us as it’s first time on any ship lower than freedom class. Looking forward to less people, more quiet time as we’re old codgers. 😉
