Bearing in mind I'm old and grew up with ancient Airfix armour kits I think these wargaming kits are the mutts nuts. Not too many tiny pieces I can feed to the carpet monster but more detail than I remember from my youth. And no rubber band tracks or individual track links, you get a happy medium in them.
Less sarcastic comment: In Bolt Action you can treat gun crews in several ways, so long as your opponent understands what happens to the crew, then it's fine. You can glue them all down to one base and use a marker or die to count casualties, or have removable crew which is what I tend to do. I prefer to make a recess in the larger base for individual crew bases to slot in, I don't magnetize these, it's just a circle recess for the circle base. There are several ways to do this, and I have a favourite but I have not found a 'one way to rule them all' method that is overall the best. Obviously you can do what you want, just throwing out ideas.
Yeah its really a choice of preference, I only man my guns with one person and the rest get individual bases and are placed around the gun. Makes it way easier to keep track of casualties and you can reuse men for guns that require a lot of personell to operate
The part you mentioned at 2:40 is a part of a german gun so it has a german name. It is call OTTO. Also I am sorry to say that but you made a mistake - a BIG mistake: Building the crew! All the unbuild crew men in their boxes will whisper to these build ones when you are not at home and at night the crew of this 75mm AT gun will fire shells at you. I hope you have an armoured sleep.
