  • Everyone wonders about how much can be made with a RUclips channel. Many people decide to start a new channel because they see others making fortunes. It's true, but just like the music business, only a very small percentage achieve rock star status while the rest struggle. Here is the truth about how I'm doing in this very competitive and cut-throat arena.

You work sistematically, you are very organized and what I like most about you is that you are a thinker. I can listen to you for hours. Thanks for amazing content and for just being yourself. Hi, Mitch -- I can eat bacon and eggs every day. I never get sick of them. A common complaint I hear about Carnivore is that it's too restrictive and lacks variety. For me, though, that's never been a problem. While it's true that the food choices are narrower, you can create variety in how you cook. Beef and eggs are so versatile! I also have heard of others who want to try Carnivore, but don't like beef that much. I'm not sure how they can resolve that, other than trying other types of meat. I feel blessed in that regard, because I've actually been a Carnivore all of my life -- I just didn't know it, and spent too many years believing all the lies about red meat and healthy fat, while forcing myself to eat margarine (which is made with seed oils and tastes terrible), to cook with "vegetable" oils (seed oils), and to convince myself that I liked salad. I lived with "vegetable guilt" and "salad guilt" for too long. No more.
I will never make much, if any, money on RUclips. I knew that going in. Like you, my motivation was to provide perspectives based on my own experience about our complex and often challenging relationship with food, to share the difficult and sometimes tragic path that brought me to a better way of eating, and to provide encouragement to my fellow Carnivores or anyone in the ketogenic space. Many of us came to this way of eating from places of deep pain, as I did. So a big part of what I want to share is the critical need for all of us to be good listeners and to respond with respect and compassion, while maintaining healthy boundaries for ourselves and being proud of what we have learned.
And like you, I'm angry about how people have been lied to and have had their addictions fed by the "food" that is sold to them. I'm sick of the fact that chronic illness makes up most of the health-care costs in the U.S. I'm sick of hearing "We can't cure it, but we can manage it." I've heard too many testimonials about the role of meat-centered eating in restoring health not to believe that I and other Carnivores are on the right path.
I'm grateful also for the fact that I'm seeing an uptick of older Carnivores on RUclips, which I hope is busting the "it's too late" myth. I wish I had adopted this way of eating decades ago, but better late than never!
    Thanks for all you do!
Where's the beef? On my plate!
    😃

I am 54 and just started my carnivore diet journey (I had been doing mostly real-food slow-food, with lots of fat intake from homegrown humanely-raised meat animals). I plan to document my journey by vlogging, although I don’t have video editing skills; just want to add to “anec-data”, as Carnivore doctors say. I am not sure how consistent it will be because I work full-time, and mostly use my “free time” to upskill in my new career - yes, I switched careers from nursing to tech at age 52. But I do hope to inspire other women.

I understand the frustration at all the lies; a sibling just cut me off from communication, because I dared to suggest a better way of dealing with his physical and mental health crisis. That kind of response to Truth is indicative of what I call systemic ill-being.

Mitch, it's fantastic that you're spreading the word! Today, I spent time with some close friends, and they held onto the traditional belief that lean meat equals health. I had to bite my tongue a bit. I've been following a carnivore diet for about 8 months now, and the improvements keep coming. I even had an energetic experience jumping on trampolines with my granddaughter at an indoor spot. She proudly told everyone I was her dad. At 51, I've never felt better, even compared to a few years ago when I was thinner. All the pain in my legs has vanished.

Dear Mitch, first off, you are not ugly by any means, so stop it with those comments. Secondly, stop cracking eggs on the edge of anything, use a flat surface, you won't have to pick egg shells from your eggs anymore. But aside from those two things, I totally admire you for doing something you enjoy, staying busy and productive even though retired. Personally, I find your videos to be a tremendous public service. The more you can say to those wandering in the darkness of the 'Standard American Diet', the more power to you!!!
One thing I very much enjoyed was finding you being interviewed on someone else's program (I can't remember who it was) but that show was awesome. At 61 making progress so like you said we are affected by others. You are wise in this and thankfully you feel the slings still because you have a heart. Pity on those that seek to hurt for their own pride filled entertainment. Just ate some ground beef and eggs and cooking more meat later! Thank you Mitch!

Hey there, never commented on a video before but you’ve motivated me to. I’m recently new to watching your content and have been keto for several years. Honestly, I struggled watching the first couple videos of yours, thinking they were long winded and boring. What I’ve learned since then is that all the flash and finish of bigger RUclipsrs had me a little dazzled even though I knew they were trying to part me of my money. They are not stupid or wrong and following modern capitalist policies. This video brought it all together for me and made me feel like I may be talking with my late father, who interestingly, graduated medical school but did not become a Dr and instead sold pharmaceuticals to doctors instead. The older and wiser he got, in the late 1980s and 90s, he really started to get angry with modern medicine and drug companies. Their practices were “criminal” he’d say. All this leads up to a somewhat apology to you for your lack of flash etc and a huge hunk of gratitude for telling it like it is and reminding of my father. Keep up the good stuff and you’ve gained another subscriber today. Thank you

Hey Mitch, I am so glad I found your channel. I'm 56 on my way but you are really an inspiration since I started at the beginning of this year. And no its not a new years resolution. I don't do those things. It's just how it worked out. But I am on this for life and RUclips is my main source of info on the internet. I follow a lot of other carnivore channels to my wife's dispair. Because I think she needs it more than I do. But the time will come. She will change her mind, when she sees the change in me.
But really thanks I really like your channel.

I don't blame you for being angry. Very glad u are doing something about it and that u didn't let the trolls drive u to quit. People need to hear what you are saying. You are making a difference everyday. My mother died from diabetes complications at around age 30. Would have been nice if she had had the information you are giving us for free. She could have lived. Thank you 4 working so hard to give people the information and the choice

I'm new to your party, just came up in my feed in RUclips. I enjoyed the first video I saw and this is the second. I don't know why some people have to be mean - it's them, not you. You look like a lean, mean, meat-eating machine to me! Keep on keeping on, you make a difference to a lot of people.

Hey Mitch, you are such an inspiration, my friend.
I completely get your "pissed-off-ness" about the false health guidelines. There's way too much misinformation and just absolutely incorrect stuff that people believe without finding out for themselves. I did keto a few years ago and dropped about 45 lbs., but eventually reverted to the bad way of eating because keto was so difficult to maintain and I was constantly focused on what I was eating, how much, how many carbs, etc., etc., etc.
I've been tinkering with carnivore for almost the last year and I am finally getting serious in 2024. Food prep and choice is so much simpler and more satisfying.
I really like your approach -- here's what's worked for me (you)!
You've got about 10 years on me but I am so encouraged to see how active you are as well as how committed you are to the carnivore lifestyle.
"Take the rest of the day off and ... eat meat!" Love this!
    - Doyle

Hi, I'm Mike. I want to thank you Mitch for your content and also for sharing the website that shows the analytics... interesting. I had never heard of the Carinvore Diet before 5 months ago. I began watching YT vifeos on the subject and also got into the WATER ONLY FASTING (extended fasts) as well. I knew it was for me and began a carnivore diet same day and am now 6 weeks into a 90% Lion Diet ( Only Red Meat i.e. BEEF) and 10 percent carnivore diet, (I will do some sour cream and or coffee with cream and very little sweetener ocasionally). I have lost107 pounds in about 5 months using the Carnivore Diet and Water Only Fasting. My health is better than I could have ever imagined it being 5 months ago. I am getting better daily and losing weight daily as well. I enjoy watching your channel. I want to begin help others with my experience with my own Carnivore Channel, though I need some tips before I begin. Can you think of some BEST TIPS for someone like me to get us off to a easire start and how mabe a faster way to get subscribers?

    • @OldGuyCarnivore

Hi Mike. That's a tough one. Make a video, about 5 minutes introducing yourself with a brief story of your carnivore journey. Upload it, but don't expect many views. Get to know some of these smaller channels that do interviews and email them. Let them know that you are available for an interview and give them a link to your video. Meanwhile, start learning how RUclips really works by watching the "how to get started" videos. There are thousands of them. That's the best I can offer. Good luck. If you do this, send me a link to your first video.
