This brings back memories to when I was a kid back in Elementary school, my art teacher had this music box and she would bring it out every year during Christmas time and play it while we sit around and watch it with awe
Watching this crying because I just threw mine away because it no longer works but I’ve had it 10+ years and it was everything to me growing up as a ballerina
I can totally relate to what you are feeling. It's hard for me to watch the video because I relate it to good times shared with my Ex fiancée. It's one of those things in life that can create good memories. I hope you find another one to replace the one that you had. Best wishes to you, and thanks for sharing.
@@marisa0603fulI never thought that. Every year our studio would do a reenactment of The Nutcracker and I never found the instrumental on the suite to be that different or less beautiful than it is in the actual ballet.
my grandmother has this thing, i think about it every christmas because it used to absolutely TERRIFY me when i was little, to the point where i begged her not to put it out. now that im older i definitely see why people like it and appreciate the beauty but it still kinda creeps me out 😂 to each their own
I have this exact one, and I’ve had mine for maybe 15 or more years and I love it and it still works great with the exception of a little static, when I turn the volume knob
That's awesome! If you ever need to open it up for servicing, you can clear up the scratchy volume control by spraying some contact cleaner into the control.
Just foumd this exact one yard sale. Once curtwin closes music keeps going but nothing else. Turn off and on does same. I cannot wait to get it open and see if can fix it. Glad see someone have video of it in action. Thx
I honestly do not remember; it was my ex-fiancée's musicbox, not mine. I can say that it does not run continuous. It will stop after it completes its cycle, then you have to restart it to play again.

But don't you think the sugar plum fairy part sounds creepy?
@@marisa0603ful not in my perspective
My friend has this, i spent hours watching it literally because I'm a big fan of these suites.
I agree with you, these are very cool
i applauded at the end : )
awesome, I did too!

It’s The best music box I’ve ever seen! Where did you bought it?
Found it at a thrift store
Omigosh why would anyone want to give this away? It’s priceless. Glad it’s yours now though. Thanks for sharing.
Michaels craft store is selling them
Are you selling?
This is a very cool piece, lots of moving parts
0:57 Never understood the giant woman in the back. She must be nine feet tall I guess
Are the new versions of this inferior? The ones I see mr Christmas selling now only appear to have 3 scenes and fewer moving parts?
they look inferior to me but I have not torn one apart
Cool video thanks
The electro music got the feeling of Mario Bros LOL
Because it's 8 bit from the'80s
