Here. It's an old video but I made these sounds myself a few thousand times with my 1979 with 6 into 1 pipes. He's out cruising past Harleys and I don't think he redlines it. Maybe 8500 rpm since he's out for a Sunday drive. ruclips.net/video/UTcA6DIeAyI/видео.html
A silver 1979 has been my ride for the last few years. Bought it new in 1978. I truly appreciate how fortunate I am. Nice day, no one around, just that great sound and that wonderful motor sticking out past the gas tank. Mechanical music.
I had just as much fun riding my KZ1000MKll way back when as I do riding my Z900. 900 handles better, stops better, has more power. But back then I didn't have to contend with angry karens and aggressive drivers at every turn. Somewhat peaceful and totally enjoyable years ago. CBX's were a magical machine then as now.Worked at a Honda dealership in' 79. Remember 3 CBX's coming in for delivery. 2 red, one silver. Couldn't believe my eyes. Don't need 200 hp and all the tech. Better times IMO.
I got to experience doing a valve adjustment on one of these when I was in School, but I can't remember if it was a shim over or shim under bucket,I e never seen one or worked on one since, glad I got to experience that
Hmmmm. April 21, 2024.... I just gave away a 1980 black CBX to a young enthusiast in SoCal. Free. Don't worry, I have 2 more that run, a '79 and an '81, and one complete 1981parts bike. Age and a medical condition prevents me from riding anything anymore. He is the guy who deserves it. I bought my '79 with a rod punched through the cases. It was my very first motorcycle engine overhaul and I rode it for 35,000 miles over the years to all California CBX Club events.
I was an original owner of a Candy Glory Red '79 complete with a factory Euro-kit, gold anodize painted Comstar wheels, drilled rotors. For a brief period of time I ran it with a Maxi-X exhaust: 6 into one into two short megaphones and no actual mufflers. The sound was too intense and I found someone with a stock exhaust and we did a swap. For the best in CBX sound ruclips.net/video/WgSpZnOiS6E/видео.html and ruclips.net/video/DrejSMvYihA/видео.html Enjoy!
I'm always blown away by the fact that so many do not recognize the reality that all people have a final moment of earthly life and that ultimately, God, and eternal salvation is truly all that matters
I click to the vidéo to hear the sound of the bike, not your voice !
Read the description, this is a documentary channel. There is a sound clip in the video
Nice voice! @@raremotorcycles
Get a room.@@davidmacphee3549
Agreed. I'm betting he spends a lot of time in front of a mirror.
Wish people didn't talk over videos
How can an 8 minute video talking about one of the best sounding machines ever made NOT include any of that sound?
EXACTLY!!!!!!!!!!!

The mechanical era was just something else!
@@raremotorcycles Definitely.
back when motorcycles had style/coolness about them
Owned one in the 1990s and regret selling it to this day. These make " Music" that anyone who loves motors understands!
Didn't take long to realize what a great bike the CBX1000 was and is today (45 years)😳
Luckily I can hear my 79 model. The 6 into 1 pipe sounds great.
F1 inspired engine, sound. Outrageous bike.
Thanks for talking all the way through it
I have 4 Classic Moto Guzzis. They all sound great!
love my F6B 2016 6 banging bagger
The F1 Sound mentioned in the title is nowhere to be heard in this video...actually no CBX sound at all.
I got to experience doing a valve adjustment on one of these when I was in School, but I can't remember if it was a shim over or shim under bucket,I e never seen one or worked on one since, glad I got to experience that

Me too!
Are there any performance parts that would be able to alleviate the wobbling and stability issues? Asking for a friend, likely buying one soon.
Can't beat Ohlins suspension and steering damper. Moving the rear wheel back and adding more trail helps.
Thanks for talking all the way through that
Never heard a CBX-video sounding better like this one!
Oops, 888 subscribes? ... Nuff said!!
I expected way more. Good video!
I really like the sound of the CBX, like the sound of a Formula 1 car

The main thing is that there was no rumbling from the bike. Just this guy talking.

Watermelon 🍉 whilst riding? What's not to like? 😂

you kept 'banging on' about how great these motorcycles sounded, yet you deprived us all of it, you W⚓!
Sound clip of about 2 seconds, clickbait.
It says documentary in the title
Great video!@@raremotorcycles
To much talk and not enough sound tracks on this video 😢
Voce fala demais, deveria ter funcionado o motor.
Nu mai vorbi atata ,da odata melodia de F1
Should be a lot more engine sound. I’m not just the CBX, but of the Benelli instead of you yapping boring waste of time.
You realize you are a DH?
The CBX was 1100cc.
1047cc.
Too much talking and not enough motor sound.
This has to be the most confused post on YT. I came for the sound not a report thumbs down 👎
should let the sound a bike talk not you
It is a documentary channel
@@raremotorcycles when you have this many people telling you that you messed up, maybe you should listen.
Stop talk man !
why i bought a royal enfield 650,real world bikes
Dull
Bla3.. No bike sound.. Bad content
Stop talking!
No sound! 👎
Few people. Your just not old enough these were normal every day. 6 cylinder is not a 1000 it's a 1300.
1147 cc's stock.
Cut down on the boring commentary and play some sounds - after all, that's what the vid is supposed to be about.
What a ridiculous waste of a phenomenal sound - who wants to hear a cheesey voice over when we should be hearing that engine!
