They should replace "I understand," with "uhh, sure?"
Been lookin for help on this issue for days. This is the first time someone really took their time to explain every nuanced detail of all the options, and I think I finally get it. Thank you!
Super glad to help! Thanks for taking the time to comment!
God this is the best video on this topic ever. Easy to understand, full of useful info with a nice pleasant voice and witty commentary. Sad that the creator don't seem to be uploading neo videos. Thanks nonetheless.
Finally I get it! After few hours searching and finally found this superb video! Thank you so much, I'm glad and waiting for another videos from u
I would argue that sending your "unwanted" to die in war is legit, both historically and role play wise
Very well done! You provide clear explanations and show the user multiple different solutions for the problems of inheritance when starting out on a new CK3 game. Keep the tutorials coming.
Thanks so much, Chip. Really appreciate the feedback. New one coming today or tomorrow.
Loved this. One of the more complicated aspects of the game. I look forward to more!
No one seems to understand how to teach paradox games to newcomers. Other videos I've watched either blaze through concepts or overexplain to death, but your tutorial was so easy to follow and informative it helped tremendously. My one suggestion is the title, I don't think newcomers know to search for "confederate partition" which is what led me here as it's unclear why your country splits apart when playing clans during 867.
This is the best CK3 succession video I've found so far, great work and thank you!!
Thanks so much, and I'm glad it was helpful. I'll be getting more tutorial / explainer videos in the coming weeks!
Great clear guide! no other guide managed to get this complicated mechanic into my head like this one. thank you!
This was very, very good. Comprehensive explainer for the most common significant tutorial hurdle.
Fantastic video, thank you! It's helped me identify the practical benefits of Partition over Confederate Partition. Keep up the great content 😁
The best guide because you fully described what me a ton of other people went through from tutorial island to exactly that same fractioned empire. I feel seen! xD
Amazing video!
So that's why my growing control on the ivory coast got broken to pieces. Looks like no more concubines for my guy.
The beginning of this video is hilarious
Third play through (second starting as Earl of Desmond in 867, yay ancestors), first time I’ve fully grasped these partition laws. I admit that I cheesed it a little; I had all of Brittania and almost all of Francia, my ruler died and I saw that Francia was created for my younger brother. I wasn’t having that and finally got an idea of this mechanic.
Now I disinherit like a fiend and immediately got the innovation for partition succession. My realm is big and my title is emperor, so I’ve no shortage of prestige and renown to burn, may as well use it over saving for some small legacy buffs. You can always smooth things over by offering the disinherited kids a duchy or earldom as well
Thank you so much I kept getting so frustrated when half of my kingdom kept splitting
Finally a good tutorial! :) I understand everything now. Although they have changed some details in the menus since this recording... Tanistry Elective is not in "decisions" - google where it is, it's very hard to explain in text haha...
Thanks for the great tutorial
The best video explaining Confederate Partition. And not only that, but also strategies to manage it.
What is the best way to proactively divide titles to all heirs before your death to maximize your taxes, levies & domains?
Wow, he just described my play through and what I’m battling to fix right now lol
Very nicely explained !
I'm glad to have been helpful. Thanks for the nice comment!
Good job prof!
Thanks!
Thanks for the video! One thing to consider next time was that I found the music to be a bit too loud and distracting, but overall it was very informative!
Thanks, Camran. You're not the first to mention the music's volume, so I'll definitely improve on that in future videos. Really appreciate the feedback.
Even i felt so
Actıally A proper guide at last
Finally and explanation that made sense toe! 😄
i had 9 children, imagine my surprise when my counties were divided between all 9 children and my primary son only got one piece of the land. LOL
Confederate partition leads to such messes!
@@Rizorty fun for the roleplay aspect though, considering how common succession wars were.
Me when i thought having more kids would make my kingdom stronger.... nopppeeee
lmao i’m new to CK3 and a minute into the video seeing a unified ireland under Murchad is blowing my mind bc i’m on my 3rd of 4th attempt and i’m still struggling to even capture dublin, and i’m already like 2 or 3 successors deep by the time we get there.
but excited to understand why all my shit crumbles under me haha
Great vid!
Honestly this will be something I look forward to modding out of the game. It just really ruins the flow and feel to building an empire when I have to go back and redo everything over and over.
yes, Paradox should change this...
thanks for explaining. now i know what to do :P
Thanks ma lord, you saved the Kingdom of Najd.
11:37 I don't have the "Adopt Special Succession Type" button. Instead I only have "Strengthen Bloodline". :(
1:00 to 1:18 almost exactly describes my play through right now! It’s like this video was specifically for me. 😳
Because you're used to being on camera from your twitch stream www.twitch.tv/rizorty I'd suggest having that on while you make youtube vids to make it more engaging. This helped me as I was never quite sure what happened when as a duke and holding the highest title, why my no.2 son created an independent duchy on his own after my death, I'd assumed no.1 son would inherit my dukedom and everyone would stay as a count underneath them.
Appreciate the feedback and glad the video helped.
This video is made up of a bunch of smaller clips. I'm leaving off the camera because it'd be one more thing to worry about matching up as I combine the various clips. But maybe in future videos -- thanks!
Thankyouthankyouthankyouthankyou!
Good explanation, though it doesn't cover the more common scenario where you only have a single kingdom. This can still be bad because the loss of direct control over duchies will hurt you both economically and militarily.
I noticed that your pyramid looks a lot like a COLUMN... lol
Great video though, very helpful.
As far as i remember ck2's gavelkind also auto-generated titles. Maybe this was patched later
Remember to check his twitch channel people - its great: www.twitch.tv/rizorty
Thanks -- you do the promotion so I don't have to!
This is nice... But my Norwegian kingdom is goin to be dividend thanks to 6 sons...
Great video, made the issue of children having very clear
That music is too loud, impossible to listen to what you say.
Pretty sad that theres nothing much that can be done once your wife starts pumping out kids. I had a perfectly good Abbasid campaign with one son then suddenly I had 4 sons in the last few years lol
yes, its shitty.... i hope they will change it
@@andigeorge55 they're not gonna "change" it lol its an integral part of the game. you'll have to use a mod to get around it
though maybe the least we can hope for is a system where you can choose who gets what while still having relatively consistent rules to make it so you HAVE to give out some land to whomever your succession laws require. So you can pick and choose which of your children acquires what regions
So, nothing new.... the same methods i use... very annoying this confederate partition shit!
