You sir are a true connoisseur of dressing, style, and fabrics but you surpass your counterparts when you referred to your shirt as "a one -piece-collar in this simple casual statement/description of a "collar", and your even briefer reference to a "high-waisted trouser "you have distinguished yourself as a chef/ maestro /virtuoso of refined gentlemen dressing. You deliver yourself with the penchant of a flaneur with panache. Touche et voila M'sieu.
Being in the world of academia, thoughts of the corduroy suit have crossed my mind for cooler weather wear. Corduroy is even softer and baggier than seersucker, so the key would be to ensure it drapes well and doesn't hang too much. Pincord will do better than large wale corduroy because it is finer.
Good evening my brother..i am not the host of this fine channel but here are my 2 cents....if you can get a pin cord suit..go for it...you r a stylish man so you will add class 2 this summer staple..does it feel similar to its cousin????? NO...Will you b just ad comfortable wearing it????? YESSSSSSS ...just don't break the bank...😂😅😊...happy resurrection sunday..peace
@@gentlemenscholarsclub although I still want to be able to see your whole outfit. You've an amazing closet and very interested to see more. I dream of buying from the Armoury, but for now is just a dream.
This is a Solbiati seersucker sold as a RTW sport coat by The Armoury a few years back. I did a separate video on it here: ruclips.net/video/JUAJnZ0i3bI/видео.html
Another great video. I'm actually eyeing the S&M navy seersucker suit right now. How does it fit, is it TTS? Or do I need to size up like the past season's green seersucker? Thanks.
I did a contemporary fit in my regular size rather than sizing up and found it TTS--comfortable because of the nature of seersucker as kind of baggy (not in a bad way).
Collar lay & lapel width a big deal. Patch pocket more casual. Lapel bottom solar plexus optimum. Upper breast pocket, a choice. Working buttons with an actual sleeve is a detail of more custom $$$.. Always best on a good frame, but can be classy on an overweight person if pants accent are neat and fitted. Don't stuff the upper pocket . Waist line height should not be too high inside jacket, below elbow a target. Pants usually cuffed and even that ranges 1.25 - 2. but taller heights have more than shorter lengths. Soild seersucker good point.
To be honest I don't think there exist any evidence that seersucker actually works in any meaningful way, or even at all. I wouldn't be surprised if it's completely a myth that it wears cooler than plain fine cotton, just as Solaro is well known to not actually work at all for the purpose it was designed for (despite looking extremely fascinating - I definitely want a Solaro suit at some point)
Good morning Mirage....yes seersucker does work..its a summer garment that's even sold in italy 😂😅😊....it is stylish looking ..why don't you just go to your local department store try it on and buy it!!!! You are a contrary kind of guy😂😮😅😊..i remember your comments on 100 hands dress shirts.....i have a number of seersucker suits..jackets..pants....be good...praise God from whom all blessings flow..peace
Being cooler in a loose fitting unlined jacket is obvious if light cotton or linen, All else, better be a loose woven UNATURAL material Is rayon (processed Wood) some think acetate is good? Micro fiber buzz.
Thank you for your detailed introduction

Thanks for the detailed video! May I know the company/bunch name for the blue/white seersucker jacket?

@@gentlemenscholarsclub So do you think if I usually wear 40s contemporary, I should just stick to my usual?
Probably! Send S&M an email to get their advice too maybe.
That bookcase organization is driving me nuts lol
Ha! Gotta get some new shelves!

I agree about lack of evidence for cooling unless somebody has done an experiment with temperature sensors on the body!
