- We're joined by Patrick Chu, managing director of W. W. Chan, as he guides us through how to iron a jacket. Check out the technique he uses for ironing the lapel in the later part of the video. This video is in Cantonese and subtitled in English. If you cannot see the subtitles, click the CC icon to turn them on.

In our opinion, W. W. Chan is one of the best bespoke tailors in Hong Kong. We have known them for many years and regard their work very, very highly. Check out their website at wwchan.com Хобби
It's lovely to hear Mark speaking some Cantonese!
Thanks Mark for bringing back Mr. Chu. Always enjoy watching him perform his craft.
14:10 here you can watch Mark switch his brain from cantonese to english
Haha, I can hear the klunk sound in my head, too.
I watched this video without understanding the language very well. Despite this I learned a lot! The second time I watched it I discovered that I could turn on subtitles! I really learned a lot! Can’t wait to start “rolling” some lapels! Thanks for a very informative video!
Thanks for watching! The subtitles are meant to be on by default but sometimes viewers' settings might override that. I added a note in the description to remind people to turn on subtitles.
Such fantastic content. So great to see a true master at work!
Glad you enjoyed it!
He's back
Thanks for this! Love keeping that roll
Simply great, thank you so much.
Very useful. Thanks.
He is a master at his craft
Great video. These types of presentations are important to many of us. We get a lot of youtube content on polishing shoes, it seems, but not enough on the home care of our garments. Even one on how to best do laundry would be nice. Thank you for this demonstration.
Thanks for watching!
This is great and relaxing ironing ASMR, as well as informational. Excellent upload.
Thank you so much!
A great video, thank you
As working man, who ironed my own office clothes, this is a huge tips..😊
Thanks Guys!
Nice 👍
What kind of fabric is best as an ironing fabric?
Gentlemen, excellent content, thanks for the tips. Also, nice to see men dressed like adults.

Thank you for another wonderful tutorial, Mark and Patrick! What are your thoughts on using a portable steamer to release wrinkles?
Briefly ... sleeves and back are OK, shouldn't do it for chest.
@@markchodotcom, thank you! Please keep the great content coming! Perhaps a shirt ironing video with Ascot Chang next!
The cloth of Patrick's jacket looks incredible! Any chance of finding out what it might be?

@@markchodotcom Oh sorry I meant the one he's wearing not the one he's ironing!
Would love to learn more tips on caring for the jacket in tropical climate. How often should we send the suit for dry cleaning? What are other ways to clean the suit given that the wearer, in tropical climate such as Singapore, would most likely perspire while wearing it.
The answer is always 0 no matter what climate we are in. You don't dry clean unless there is an absolute need like a stain etc. use a garment or wool brush to remove physical debris, wipe down the inner lining with a damp cloth. Hang it up and air it out under the sun for 30mins to an hour. Store in a cabinet with a cedar or dried lavender etc. That's all is needed really.
to be reminded that he is using a special ironing blanket .....
Patrick was using an old cotton fabric for this, nothing special at all!
I’ve been doing this incorrectly for 25 years.
