I watched this video without understanding the language very well. Despite this I learned a lot! The second time I watched it I discovered that I could turn on subtitles! I really learned a lot! Can’t wait to start “rolling” some lapels! Thanks for a very informative video!
Great video. These types of presentations are important to many of us. We get a lot of youtube content on polishing shoes, it seems, but not enough on the home care of our garments. Even one on how to best do laundry would be nice. Thank you for this demonstration.
This might be a silly question, but I'm new to the sartorial world. Does a jacket get damaged if it becomes damp (not too damp) from a steamer? The technique in the video is great, but it takes time to master and requires times for ironing each time. I was wondering if using a steamer just a little bit would be a viable alternative-especially since it can also help eliminate viruses and bacteria.
Would love to learn more tips on caring for the jacket in tropical climate. How often should we send the suit for dry cleaning? What are other ways to clean the suit given that the wearer, in tropical climate such as Singapore, would most likely perspire while wearing it.
The answer is always 0 no matter what climate we are in. You don't dry clean unless there is an absolute need like a stain etc. use a garment or wool brush to remove physical debris, wipe down the inner lining with a damp cloth. Hang it up and air it out under the sun for 30mins to an hour. Store in a cabinet with a cedar or dried lavender etc. That's all is needed really.
It's lovely to hear Mark speaking some Cantonese!
Thanks Mark for bringing back Mr. Chu. Always enjoy watching him perform his craft.

Such fantastic content. So great to see a true master at work!
Glad you enjoyed it!
This is great and relaxing ironing ASMR, as well as informational. Excellent upload.
Thank you so much!
What kind of fabric is best as an ironing fabric?
He's back
Simply great, thank you so much.
14:10 here you can watch Mark switch his brain from cantonese to english
Gentlemen, excellent content, thanks for the tips. Also, nice to see men dressed like adults.

Thanks for watching!
As working man, who ironed my own office clothes, this is a huge tips..😊
Thanks for this! Love keeping that roll
I'm really curious. How could I press the jacket after I wash the entire jacket considering the canvas😅
Thank you for another wonderful tutorial, Mark and Patrick! What are your thoughts on using a portable steamer to release wrinkles?
@@markchodotcom, thank you! Please keep the great content coming! Perhaps a shirt ironing video with Ascot Chang next!
He is a master at his craft
Very useful. Thanks.

A great video, thank you
The cloth of Patrick's jacket looks incredible! Any chance of finding out what it might be?
@@markchodotcom Oh sorry I meant the one he's wearing not the one he's ironing!

Thanks Guys!
Nice 👍
mark's accent🙂❤️
I’ve been doing this incorrectly for 25 years.
to be reminded that he is using a special ironing blanket .....
Patrick was using an old cotton fabric for this, nothing special at all!
