Great video. You’re my go-to source for EDC fixed blade info.
I love my White River backpacker, got mine at Bladeshow last year- the White River family is wonderful. Good line up. Those BMKT's look good, specially the sheepsfoot. Cheers.
Thank for reviewing my design!🙌🏻
Really like the BMKT. I wouldn’t normally think about edc fixed blades for the kind of money as I don’t edc a fixed blade that often but lately I’ve been getting into it more and more and this checks all my boxes. Only problem is you can obviously see which one everyone loves. I think every version with either black wash blade and/or black micarta are sold out.
I personally EDC a White River FC 3.5 in appendix carry with the standard kydex sheath, if you wear a medium to long length shirt people literally can't tell it's there
Great video as always Love the idea of these small fixies. Still deciding on which one to start with. Thanks for the great info!
I have a few top 10 list if you haven’t seen them yet 👍
Enjoyed this review much more than the Super Bowl half-time show 😊 Added a couple of these knives to my wish list. Thanks
Youve been super helpful ... Im getting into EDC Fixie Pocket Carry and this video was very helpful 👌 cheers 🍻
Love your fixed videos thanks brotha
I need to start carrying more fixed blades. Thanks for sharing buddy.
Awesome pieces! Thanks for sharing.
I carry big EDC knives. Esee 6 and cold steel Spartan full serration. Love them both always reliable.
I've been eying that sea snake.
Sea snake is awesome
Grab one, inexpensive and good slicer. 👍
Can recommend highly. It’s a great knife
It’s a good one dude 👍. I carry them horizontal right above the zipper to the right a little bit totally hides the ring on the little 3 “ that is the same shape as the sea snake
Keep your eyes off my sea snake man I told you were just friends
Great review brother. Some nice knives man!
Liking the Back Packer!
Thanks for sharring 😎👍
Joker Avispa my favorite for EDC
I have the Bradford in Magnacut. It's the first fixed I've EDCd. I have punctured my index finger on the choil less than half a dozen times. It's a great knife.
I am completely blown away by the Real Steel Alieneck knife. For 20 Euros, you cannot beat it.
Thank you for these videos! Another good one, been looking at that Sea Snake for a minute. My newest fixed blade is the Civivi Elementum fixed blade, and though it's a little bigger than these, I really love it. Switched to scout carry with included sheath and clip, and I can't even feel it on back of belt. In and out of vehicles, on and off bikes, and a flannel covers it easily. Would definitely recommend it.
Joker is gorgeous!
Good video and breakdown. Thanks!
I couldn't see myself expending any funds on these; but thank you for this review.
Those BMKT's look amazing!! Especially like the tanto shaped blade, yeah dig it!
Best knife reviewer on RUclips.
Great list of fixies.
What would you recommend for the XL hand ? I really would like a fixed edc but I struggle with the tiny guys.
Nice set of EDC fixies, Nick! I liked several and have a few of them myself. I need to grab one of the fixed Begleiters. Not familiar with the Avispa, but love the Jokers. The ESEE Izula in s35vn was my most carried/used knife last year. Thanks for the look, brother! Stay well down there.
Hola Grumpy!
@@BrandonGavin_EDC Hey, Brandon!
I like that sea snake plus the Canada one ,both my style , thanks stassa for sharing
I will say the Italian designers make some beautiful designs, especially the Vox designs, If they would get their heat treats up to par I’d buy quite a few of them. That being said I definitely will be getting the Vox Chillin even though it’s not a fixie. For an EDC fixed blade I’d love to get the Elementum, the backpacker, or the 10V mini Harpoon.
I think I’m going to check out that Bradford necker. If the price is right, it’ll be in my cart soon. Thanks for the vid!
Really like a nice small fixie. My go lately has been the Giantmouse Gmf1
They really leaned into the theme on the avispa.
Great video. Just bought the Esee.
I just bought the Lionsteel M2M. I bought it over the M4, because it's about the same size and has a scout sheath.
the M4 is a great knife. I also really like the look of the Backpacker . might have to get one.
The Gnecker is a great addition to any pocket
Cool video thanks.
Thank You for the video
Nice collection 👍😁
Love them fixed blades
Love edc fixed blades
Very nice great looking knives!!
Thanks for sharing this! If you have any ideas about how to find the Real Steel clips, please do share. I can't find them anywhere.
It looks like the Kazhan isn't fully seated in the kydex sheath, when you put it in. Mine sits about 5mm deeper, but my sheath was very tight at first and had to be broken in.
I carry the Sea Snake in a variety of configurations. Last week I tried it as a neck knife. Good lost there.
Try terava mini pukko 85, an excellent edc bushcraft knife that undeservedly lives in the shadow of its bigger brothers.
You actually got the Avispa? How cool is that?! Happy you like it.
Love that Boker. I want to mod my Sea Snake with Mexican Blanket micarta. Or maybe the Atomic green fat carbon fiber. I hapoened upon Mike Elmer's video on Wharnies and said I love my CRKT SPEW but wanted something similar with better steel. Though, it's still razor sharp, anyway he mentioned his Sea Snake 🐍. I bought immediately. It's got a lot of sentimental value & will be my neck knife for life. I'm a Navy Brat & Mike's Navy Vet. I gotta support the Vets. I like the green G10 but really want custom scales & new kydex sheath. I am watching videos on making your own sheaths. I may do it all myself as an artist & engineer.
Great bunch of knives! Especially the BMKT! Guardian goes without saying... love the Sheepsfoot Guardian.

Cool blades!
I love the m4 the most! Italian leather, bohler m390 and it has perfect ergos.
Thanks bro.
Love the inspirational video! All this time, I thought you were black lol.
Hey Nick, great fixed knife video. I have a white river m1 backpacker that I love and neck carry when hiking etc. I want to explore carrying it edc in scout position. A belt clip came with the backpacker but I am not crazy about it. I noticed that you use multiple different devices to attach belt to kydex sheath. What specific one would you recommend that I get?
Look into armatus carry, they make amazing sheaths
Neat Stassa23,
Very nice knives
Where can I get that small tek lok that’s on the Izula?
I been rockin the razel
Try the m1 Lion steel, I have the m1 m4 steel and it's about the size you were talking about six something inches try that one you'll like it
I own close to 1 hundred knives, most of them fixed blades. The knife that I sue the most, is a fixed blade made by Manly, the Manly Patriot. It has the perfect sheath, the perfect size, the perfect design, for everyday use. I own Lionsteels, TRC Knives,KA-BARs/Beckers,, Morakniv, and a ton of Custom, and other popular factory made knives.
I still go for that knife, no matter how many I've bought since that. As for folders, I prefer Victorinox like the Explorer, the Hunter, the Harvester(Swiss Army 7) than any other "Tacticool, or other style folder I've tried..
these are all very nice but my EDC knife is a hunting knife with an 6inch blade that i made myself, its a knife that suits my purposes for a knife: something i can chop up brush do grunt work and also do the fine work like skinning and processing game, leather sheath set up for a scout carry on the back of my belt, clipped point antler grip... a nice pigsticker tbh i wouldn't carry anything smaller i used to carry a 10inch blade bowie knife everyday
One of the ones I like is a cheap ass canku I seen on this old sword blade reviews and the sea snake is a perfect size for me .
Can you do a review on the fixed blade, Jackloreknives?
I'm guessing you didn't like the hogue extrak? I don't think I've seen it in a video since the first one
Great info on some good looking knives.
I do not see the link for the Real Steel clips you showed and spoke of.
Love my g necker
Nice lefty
Would they be allowed in uk?
I posted awhile back about my edc1 having a edge issue. I’ve since then sharpened it twice and I must have gotten a burnt edge or something. Now it holds an edge forever.
Initially it would fold over in the middle of the sheepsfoot blade after the first couple of cuts for some reason. After the second sharpen I’m about a month of edc use and still hasn’t folded over.
I even reached out and asked him what grits he used and how he recommended to sharpen it with my wicked edge and I’ve been following that.
But after the second sharpen it’s not folded once on my at 18degrees worked up to a 1000diamond, 1200cermaic, 1600 ceramic then a 0.4 compound and strop and it’s good now.
I’m assuming a burnt edge? Idk I’m still pretty new to this world but that’s the only thing I could figure.
Still my favorite knife I’ve got. Every now and then I’ll toss in the 3v demo ad 20.5 just because I think 3v may be my favorite steel. Low key wish this edc1 was cmp3v a little haha!
But I definitely love the edc1 and highly recommend it as well even as a newcomer
I have a 3v ad 20.5 and I rounded the tip on it with my grinder sharksfoot blade btw 😭 so I haven't gotten to use it at all.idk how to put a tip back on it. I also have an ad20.5 with aus10a and aftermarket scales feels amazing compared to the stock scales, their kinda uncomfortable. What's so good about the 3v would you say? I don't have enough experience with it.
@@j.t.553 I also have the ad20.5 in 3v and that’s mainly where my love for 3v comes from.
It’s semi stainless so where I live I’ve yet to have any corrosion issues, it’s tougher than a lot of other steels, the edge in mine holds up pretty well. I only have to touch up the edge maybe once a month with a strop or a high grit stone.
But the main reason I really like 3v and especially fora a fixed blade is the toughness and re sharpenability. I was shocked how easily it was to get back to a mirror polish.
I don’t have a lot of variety with steel but I own 3v, cpm154, m390, s30v, and nitro v knifes. And the 3v is just miles faster to touch up on the wicked edge vs the rest of what I have. S30 is pretty close to as easy but not as tough. If 3v could last as long as my m390 on the edc1 I have it would be the best on my eyes haha.
I miss my 2 VANAX SHARKS & my Stonehocker SPIKE in S90V with marbled c.f. scales & brass bolts🇺🇸 @TheGrimPocket has my spike now...
_The best knives don't fold._
My EDC: Spyderco Street Beat w Micarta handle.
Comfy, stealthy, front-pocket carry.. Sheath pops off with a thumb press and stays in pocket when knife is drawn.
You can't see that I'm gripping it with hand in my front pocket, blade is loose from sheath but still covered. by it.
Belt clip needs to be removed from sheath; it's attached with machine screws.
ESSE-3 no clip right front pocket
I like my blades to have a protective nub or guard before the blade. When using a knife in extreme conditions, skinning game, cleaning fish, wet weather, blood, or especially in the cold, you want a nonslip grip and a way to keep your hand from slipping into the blade, especially your pointing finger and palm. Most of the knives here seem to miss that part. While 90% of users will use a knife for practical purposes, like opening boxes, to cutting or shaping, or just to have it for whatever may arise, I personally want something that can do everything. A piece of broken glass can become just as indispensable as a knife in a survival situation. Cost should be acceptable, value and material shouldn't be questionable, and should make for a well-rounded everything blade. From hand use, to attaching to wood as a spear, to self defense. That said, these knives look great, but not one would my choice for everyday carry. #1 is decent, but would not last me. I have some decent blades that I carry, few have lasted me more than 2 years in the field. Everyday hard use is the real test. Loved the video, great blades, very cool, just not applicable as far as being well rounded. #7 would be the closest, still missing some fine points though. Appreciate the video.
Hey, nice comment, have you considered the White River M1 Backpacker Pro, I think it matches your description quite well :)
ESEE MAKES the best knives all around PERIOD.
Those bmkt seem a little heavy on the wallet. For now still carrying my dpx hest fixed blade… it just keeps going & taking the abuse.
Wish the S35VN sea snake wasn't a limited run
To be 100% honest I think the regular one is a way better deal because the Micarta is the cheap stuff and there isn’t a huge noticeable difference between the two but I am really surprised they didn’t do it as a regular production model like they usually do. Come to think of it I don’t recall them having any premium fixed blades, I wonder if they don’t sell well?
Am i the only one who EDC a Mora Eldris in my pocket??? 👀
mora, that's it. top 1
Seasnake is a smaller copy of CRKT Dragon
Buy the gaurdian kydex from bradford. Its perfect and better than that blue thing ya got
I guess nobody carries a recon tanto anymore.
EDC whatever. Every single one he showed looked brand new.
It’s nice to see someone who can use a knife without abusing it or using them carelessly, and keep them in good condition. He’s the kind of guy I prefer buying used knives from. 😊
@@jerrymunsthe point was that it doesn’t look like he uses or carries them at all
I wish boker would stop using D2 so often. Especially charging insane amounts for it.
TKELL Knives are the best fixed edc blades. Also 100% Made In America
Agreed 👍
Lol. Of course the ones I liked are all sold out.
Nice presentation thx.
But issues are...that knives look, like neweeer used. Minimum that coated ones-1000% not really used(others same) Carryed? Maybe. But used? Nooothing serious. Nice presentation, but not a experience-not used, just decorations..
Not one he's shown looks like it's been used
Just curious why anyone would want to carry a fixed blade that has a shorter blade than their pocket knife???
Their construction is stronger due to lack of moving parts in them. Also, fixed knives require less maintenance than folding knives
Great if all you’re planning to do is open boxes with them or if you live in a state that won’t let you carry a larger fixed blade. May as well just carry a pocket knife.
I gotta stop watching these. I want each of those last fixies with each balde shape. Need a sea snake too. 😆
BACKPACKER BY FAR,THE REST ARE TOYS
You're telling me that these are your EDC knives? Your Every....Day...Carry knives are these knives? That you throw on that fat leather sheath and 8 inch knife when you go to the store? Or a scout carry full tang knife when you go to work? You carry one of these with you every.....day....?
Not "kazan"-"kazhan". It means "bat" from Ukrainian.
Joke ,shit hits fan best knife the one you got and be lookin for that big mofo you let your lady talk you out of
Boker is a nazi Germany company which made ceremonial daggers for the elite ss officers. Boker released remakes of such daggers with the same tree logo as on original nazi daggers. Boker supports and caters to fans of nazi Germany… boker is not a company which should be supported and catered to… just trying to inform the uniformed, thank you for your attention and consideration
The End of the WW2 in europe is almost 80 years ago, so there have been no nazis at boeker for a long long time. Some other facts: the USA have after the war many german scientists and engineers brought to the US to work in the US for the US, the most prominent was Wernher von Braun. What does that say about the morals of the USA?
These skeleton knives are awesome!! @upknife
