- Today we talk about Zeke, My favorite character from Bob's Burgers. He is kind, loyal and deserves a lot more love. So here's my Love letter to Zeke, the life of any party.

These could have jokes as well, but I think Zeke is brighter than he lets on, at least in literature. Not only has he randomly dropped literature references ("Settle down, Robert Frost!" and he calls Tina "Tina C. Williams") but in the water park episode, he willingly chose a book (Animal Farm) that is above his current grade level and correctly spoke on the more complex themes of the book. I hope there was some payoff to that.
I do hope theres some plot of him being more academic and how it ties into his story of being an issue as a kid early on and how he slowly got better through his interests and academic activities
This is so on point. Hopefully they play into it more in the future.

I think that part of the reason Zeke is so close to Gene and feels so protective over him is because he is extremely into Tina but Tina is in an on again off again thing with his best friend. He genuinely likes Gene don’t get me wrong, but he i think that at least in part he sees it as a way to be closer to the girl he likes. As early as the gladiator fights in the cooler he mentions that he likes Tina but has no way to express it and as the series progresses he continues to fight with his feelings for Tina and his desire to see his best friend happy. During the Oeder games he kind of breaks and painfully admits in clear words that he likes her. Jimmy plays with Tina’s feelings and Zeke literally calls him out on it, and you can tell that when Zeke admits it to Tina it is because it is true.
This is just adding onto your point about Tina having some small feelings for Zeke, but if I remember correctly its mentioned that Tina has a reoccurring dream where Jimmy junior and Zeke switch bodies or jimmy j has Zeke's face. something to that effect
In the episode "Go Tina on the Mountain" Tina was writing in her diary. That's when she mentioned that she keeps having a dream that Jimmy jr. and Zeke switch heads. Since it's a recuring dream, it's definitely a sign that she has some feelings for Zeke deep down somewhere. Good catch!
I was hoping someone would mention this, Tina for sure is considering him in some part of her
Tina tends to go for the skinny pretty boy type so i imagine that's her subconscious brain saying they like Zeke's personality but is not attracted to their look.
Tina also has dreams about Jimmy Jr and Zeke switching heads - which for me means she wants Zeke with JJ body

OMGGGGG i’m so glad i have another zeke and tina defender ! its so cute i have a headcannon that tina doesn't work for the restaurant, shes a writer but shes with zeke and zeke is a chef so he has a restaurant and bob loves him because they cook togehter and of course louise and gene love him because he's already like a big brother to him so i hope the writers pull through 😭😭😭
I really agree. I was a little disappointed by the movie focusing on Tina wanting Jimmy as a simmer boyfriend, just cause it feels so up and down with Jimmy Jr.
I feel like at least in later seasons Tina will finally get over her crush on Jimmy Jr. I mean let’s not forget she is a teenager and teenagers have a hard time expressing their emotions and understanding them as well. I feel like with how the show is going they may play into him being her summer boyfriend, and at the end of summer Tina will finally realizes it wasn’t worth it, so she lets him go. At least I feel like that may be something they do
It'd be neat if there's a spin off after the series about Zeke and Jimmy owning opposite restaurants as adults and he's married to Tina and because of that, Jimmy Pesto Jr has insane beef with the burger place across the way
It could be that the 44 YO that Zeke says is his brother could just be a family friend or what not that he looks up to as a brother and I would also hope this is the case

I called my cousin that was almost 25 years older than me my brother when I was a kid because we were the only only-children in my family and I thought we deserved siblings. Have hope that Zeke is just eccentric instead of his dad being horrible.
I was thinking it was a step brother feom his step mom or something like that, and zeke had just seen him as an older brother and referred to him as a brother
It would be fun if the series finale of Bob's Burgers does show the Belcher children all grown up
Zeke marries Tina and takes over as the new chef for Bob's Burgers.
Then we can think back to that old episode of Tina giving Zeke the mascot costume as where it all began.
Louise is the new Fischoeder of the town, given her cunning nature and leadership skills.
Gene could probably run some improv trope or local theater
Tina could still work at the restaurant but also writes erotic novels on the side, trying to get them published.

Louise plans on taking over the restaurant so I think she should run the restaurant with Zeke so Tina can concentrate on publishing her writing. But of course Louise can run underground operations in the town on the side 😂
Zeke is one of my favorite characters I’m a huge Zekextina shipper he playing the waiting game if I’m not mistaken the after school club that runs the woman issue club is a self defense for women which is really sweet 😊 honesty I see his dad running a hardware store or mechanic I don’t think it’s a restaurant he would have said so but I’m assuming it’s hardware type stuff
I think Zeke's dad does something where he often gets his hands dirty. Maybe he's a mechanic at a body shop or a plumber.

I love Zeke. He’s self aware, kind, and very supportive. We could all use a little more of that in our lives.

The whole Jimmy Jr stringing Tina along is something i wish the show would drop altogether as it has long since got boring.
I think Jimmy junior is DemiSexual and is trying to force himself to be heterosexual because of his dad. And it's going to have a hell of awakening in his late thirties where he realizes his own internalized homophobia and And unpacks it all and comes out.
I definitely think Zeke's brother and how it complicates things with his parents, was just the writers forgetting what they'd written lol. Since, Bob's Burgers doesn't really make characters like that, if you kno what I mean😭😭 if they remember that fact and decide to incorporate it into a later episode, I think they might go the route of an uncle or a family friend who acts brotherly towards Zeke.
I know, I just thought it was funny lol.
Another example of her possible feelings for zeke is that dream sequence where both zeke and jimmy jr ask her to marry them. Forget the episode but it had to do with tina walking the red carpet I think?

Nice video! If you check out the episode where Tina takes Capoeira, in the scene where Bob imagines Tina cooking with him as an adult, she is holding a baby that looks just like Zeke! He is definitely her endgame.

outside of the Belcher's Zeke is my boy - when he is around I need to remind myself not to have a drink because some of his lines just come out of nowhere and are always a hit with me

My theory is that Zeke's older brother is his dad and his "parents" are actually either his aunt and uncle or grandparents.
This is a Zeke stan account, Zeke and Mr Fischoeder are my favorites for differing reasons.
Given we know Louise is for sure gonna take ip the restaurant, I personally HC that Zeke and Tina eventually get together and he becomes Louise's sous chef. He fits in absolute perfectly with the Belchers!
There really are dark or/and sad background elements in Bob's Burgers when you think about it. Zeke, Rudy, Gayle, even Bob and Linda. Fishodor's background is probably REALLY dark, though he really seems to respect Bob... 😏
I don't watch Bob's Burgers. But I do like hearing black women talk in an enthusiastic tone with the volume turned down low while I work. So... liked and subscribed!
I like to think that Zeke and Louise will run the restaurant together, his talent and her…skills will make them super successful while remaining a family restaurant. Tina will go away to college and start writing indie romance novels (easily clearing over $5000 a month on passive income alone),become slightly less weird and move back home, and reconnect with a slightly more chill zeke, who has in her absence become the 4th belcher kid, and finally give in to her attraction
Gene will own a queer friendly bar/venue, where he’s the musical director (think robin williams in The Birdcage) they’ve got drag brunch, host local performances, karaoke nights, etc and that’s where the belcher kids hang out on nights out. He ‘helps’ at the restaurant during the day when he feels like it.
Zekes whole backstory is similar to my childhood
It wasn’t awful but far from normal and sounds like a typical southern dysfunctional family, lots of it mostly extended cousins or through bonds and it makes sense why Zeke is a good ol boy we call it hospitality for a reason. No matter where who or what your friends are doing we got yer back bubba

OMG! Just discovered your vids and you're a new fav! I just thought of this while watching: Zeke has BEEN calling Tina T-Bird. And, on the trip to Mt. Windy Gap, Tina desperately wanted to be seen as Teagle (instead of Fluffy Butt LMAO). Zeke has been there, through the touch tank, through the apoca-lips, seeing T-Bird like no one else. I too, want more Zena/Tinke content! 😍

Its possible. We won't know unless they tell us since his dad has only appeared a couple of times as a nonspeaking character.
As for his brother then that calls into question how old is his step mom to have a 44 year old son. She'd at least have to be in her 60s then. But the woman we saw to be Cheryl didn't look that old. the math is weird lol. Honestly it obvious it was a joke thrown in by the writers. I just thought it was a funny theory to talk about.

I will say, it's so ironic how all the Belchers like Andy & Ollie yet only Tina likes Jimmy Jr. I do agree with you that Jimmy Jr. only wants Tina when he can't have her, therby keeping her in a situationship with him at his convenience.
That being said, I think Tina and Jimmy Jr do have romantic chemistry (the sky kiss and when Tina => Tina Bot are my fave examples) *BUT* Tina and Zeke are just overall more compatible and the better ship.
I love Andy and Ollie. As far as Jimmy goes he definately does have good chemistry with Tina. But only when he's in the mood to be. Personally I value things like consistency and thoughtfulness over a period of time. Rather than sudden burst of being sweet before going back to indifference the next day. So that's why I'm more of a Zeke or Josh ship than a Jimmy Jr. I want to make a Jimmy Jr video in the future though! I like him so I'm happy to talk about our dancing King

Theory about the 44 y/o brother. What if it's a situation where the 'brother' is actually his father, and the man he knows as his father is actually his grandfather who took over custody because the 'brother' wasn't a fit enough parent?

Really great video, thank you so much! I think it's important to note that Zeek is the only one in the show (out of the kids) that has affinity and natural ability for cooking, none of the belchers kids has shown a passion for cooking (while one of them might devolop it later in life) so far none has shown a passion for it(tina was only the grill cook cause he didn't trust Gene and Louise with the fire) , while they all enjoy working at the restaurant none of them has shown a passion for cooking. While it was mentioned Bob had this passion from a young ago, they all enjoy working at it and Louise has stated that she hopes to run the restaurant one day (which I think she will be excellent at), season 4 episode 7 is really important cause I think it teases the high chance that Zeke will be the chef later on in life. No one else out of all the children in the show has shown a potential for being a chef and bob likes Zeke. I think what happens in season 13 episode 3 will happen where they all (other then Louise) go to a different career path and end up back working at the restaurant, tina might do writing or working with horses (and potentially be with Zeke) and gene might do something in music and Louise run the restaurant with Zeke as chef and then eventually Tina and Gene will come back to work in the restaurant. Bit long winded but was just thinking about the fact that the Bob & Deliver episode is really important as it's the only episode that shows someone that could potentially become the next chef for the restaurant after Bob
Now that you brought it up. He probably would leave his feelings for Tina alone because, of Jimmy Jr.

I think Zeke’s dad probably works in something related to wrestling, like maybe he’s a yoga instructor who’s really good at being a wrestling coach.
Eeeep, I SO want Zeke to date Tina. He’s a good cook, a feminist like Bob. Also, Zeke has some of Linda’s sweetness, which would compliment how Tina is a total daddy’s girl.

One theory I like is that his brother is actually secretly his dad but he was too young to take care of him. So he had his father (zekes grandfather) raise him.
