Not as bad as the BGW coaster or RMC Gwazi (uninspired record breaker in the place of what could have been a dueling masterpiece if they actually tried), but it's still not that great either. For starters it's not a Vekoma, and before you say that's a good thing as it would suck look at their new launch coaster models and Lech Coaster as they're not the horrible company they used to be. Oh and F.L.Y., we can't forget about that sick looking ride either. I REALLY WANT TO see a new Vekoma coaster of the thrill variety come to the U.S. (preferably to a park I have a chance of going to), Dragon Flyer was my 2nd most anticipated ride of 2019 (behind Maxx Force). Ever since I saw Vekoma's concept for the Energylandia hyper that completly blew me away (IMO it was easily the best of the layouts, that twister finale looked amazing) I've been a fan of their recent works, then Lech Coaster happened and their two new launch coaster models (Shockwave and Top Gun) and F.L.Y., Vekoma is a company to watch and one I desperately want to return to the U.S. soon. Second the layout isnt all that great either, not as much of a waste as the BGW launch coaster, but nothing special either and a bit too short. That and Orlando already has enough launch coasters as it is with one opening this season (even if I'd absolutley despise that abomination and would hesitate to rip it down if I could), they dont need yet another one with elements similar to the most recent one. I would be able to forgive this if it was a Vekoma though. This ride is just another reason why I think that 2020 sucks so much with only a few things that have me excited (really just F.L.Y., Mako and the SWSA woodie look good but dont get me pumped), I really dont get any of the hype for 2020 with the coasters seen so far.
Geez, imagine having a huge new Intamin and RMC on the horizon and still being unsatisfied! RMC Gwazi would definitely not be as impressive of a layout in terms of height if it was duelling; I think what RMC have produced looks solid, as with Intamin for BGW.
