"I didn't wanna be a mom I wanted to be MY mom" THAT IS SO BEAUTIFUL DREW 😭
I'd love her to do the last meal segment too! I feel like she knows all the good and unique eats!
Good to see you Josh, hope your butt boils are ok
i heard they spread to all over his body
😂😂😂
As his primary care butt boil specialist I can confirm that his butt boil did spread down the crack but as directed he is applying castor oil twice a day for best results.
Dw I kissed it better they’re all gone now
@@mildhoof happy Monday to you too 🤣
The medieval times lore with this crowd! Josh, Brittany, Drew! They all love a medieval reference if you pay close attention to the content involving them together
As a Brit, I can confirm that the Sunday roast is the best of all British food, and the only traditional British food that most of us still eat regularly ❤
that's so sad...
I don’t think that’s really true though, pie/bangers and mash, sandwiches, stews, beans on toast, sausage rolls, pasties and baked slices, full English breakfast, loads of desserts, fish and chips. All very common.
now idk abt all that, truly good fish and chips kinda clear a roast
I love this dynamic. The interview happening so candidly while Josh just does kitchen things
I love Pili being so intentional with our Queen Drew.
Love how professional this roast is, a British Sunday (or Monday) roast is so much more low-key then that hahahah looks delicious!!
This is as calm as I’ve ever seen Josh and I think it speaks to both of their characters. Drew is wise, intelligent and calm. While Josh is willing to listen and match the vibe of his guest in order to make them comfortable ❤
Latchkey kids are very empathetic. These 2 link on a deep level
In England we have a call it a Sunday Roast because a lot of people eat this on a Sunday. I’m from Yorkshire and Yorkshire Puddings are our proud creation ✨ So glad she enjoyed it
Full English Breakfast, Sunday Roasts and Shepherd's Pie!❤😋
I misread the title at first glance and thought it said Drew tries awful British food for the first time lol
As an American who grew up with my mom making roast and yorkshire puddings for Christmas dinner this made me want half a dozen yorkshire puddings drowned in au jus
I am an American that grew up with a British step-dad so my mom also made the same stuffs.
I’m an American that grew up with no British relation, nor currently. I tried Yorkshire puddings & roast in Texas and its was absolutely delicious
Josh is channeling the rock with this fit
I still can't get over how good of an interviewer/host josh has become. Good job man
Actually if it's not sourced from the British region of the UK it's just sparkling meat and veg.
Ain't nothing special about the area your food comes from lol
@@justdropthey’re obviously making a joke about the regions that champagne grapes are grown
@@justdrop That joke flew right over your head 😂
Love it when people saying that the British eat like it’s WW2 when every meal they speak about is a meal usually made by the poor or just when you can’t be asked to make anything big, so kind of an arsey thing to make fun of in reality.
I also love it that she said that when a lot of British people COULDN'T eat like that in World War II because of food shortages and rationing!
Drew saying her man was like, “I don’t do anything I don’t want to do. I want to see you” 😭
Good for Josh… free and clear of those pesky butt boils
9:18 Alton Brown I think would love that you said Cutthroat Kitchen was part of the Saw franchise.
I definitely think he would be proud of that
“no one goes to the fair as friends” im SCREAMING. my ex bf brought this girl to the fair i work at and stayed for the whole 10 hour shift WITH HER AND DIDNT TALK TO MEEEEE
That’s not a bf lol sounds like you might be a side chick
@@jccatv901 i meant ex hes not bf anymore i forgot i could edit comments
As a Brit born and raised. I also don’t like beans on toast.
yapping with a man while he cooks for me is my DREAM
Love the WW2/rationing comment that made me laugh despite the cheekyness of it! that was a decent looking sunday roast Josh, could have made some horseradish sauce to go with the beef. Splendid job old chap.
the british people in the comment section dying rn 😭😭
Aren't they always? Aren't we all :S?
yep :)
everyone is slowing dying from the minute we're born
No one’s dying - you can chill.
Nine eleven had me dying xD
To make a proper authentic british gravy you need to import bisto gravy granules and OXO stock cubes, even better if you get Irish gravy granules 😏
Fellow brits, this is NOT the week to get weird about something not being properly British. Everyone is so attached to the way their parents made roast dinner, and I get it, but that’s NOSTALGIA talking. Yeah, he’s gonna serve ‘gastro pub’ style food and not the driest meat you’ve ever seen, aunt Bessie’s yorkshires and bisto?! This is a cooking show, he’s not gonna just make a food mountain on a plate. Josh did great and they both enjoyed it which is a WIN. I get pissed off at American superiority complex and hypocrisy too but my god chill guys
superiority complex & hypocrisy???????? huhhhhhh???😂
@waner17 lol, yeah, because the British are known for being so humble and non-hypocritical 😂
I love this episode so much. Drew is so captivating to watch and Josh is always so great with every guest
Aw this was such a lovely vulnerable interview
I’m very happy I stumbled across this hot nerdy cook 💅🏾
She is naturally very funny! I really enjoyed this interview, I’ll have to check out her content!
Please do a last meal with Nicole Byer.
IM SO HAPPY U INVITED DREW OMG OMG
Josh should try caramelised parsnips!!!!
Just bought my Mythical Cookbook!
Drew is great and so naturally funny! Loved this episode!
as a brit living i canada, im hungry and i miss this
Good parsnips only happen when they were in the ground in a hard frost
yes!! now we need her in last meals ❤
@@chaiii666 I'd agree, on the proviso that it was actually her last meal.
@@Son_of_Mandalorebro what??
Love Drew
I like doing roasts in a pressure cooker when im at my moms house cuz she has a fancy one
MAN THAT LOOKS GOOD that's christmas dinner in our house
I’m British and peas are a no. Beans on toast is delicious but it’s a struggle meal 😂 you eat it to remind yourself of humble beginnings. It’s like tuna pasta.
The divided comments made me scared, but learning about her and watching it immediately removed that. Good video! Interesting guest, glad to have learned about them.
Also good to see a good side of British food.
this isnt british food
@@carlwheezer1544 there is a bomb inside of your skin cells
@@carlwheezer1544 How come?
@@JayTraversJT never seen a whole onion on a roast with the worst looking yorkshire puds ive ever seen before
@@JayTraversJTtoo much seasoning maybe? Lol
Knowing the Afualo lore, this video was such a good prompt 😂🔥
😂 I was shook when I saw the title
I love how her boyfriend is the caring and intentional one and she was the one playing games lol😅
Me just chilling on my bed with my GF:
The sounds coming from her phone: AAAAAHAKAKAKAKAHAHAA
So true
Is Brits are so pleased you forgive us!, had you not,we all may have ended up in therapy! Because after all, your opinion is what counts (right).😂O.M.F....ng.G.
i have 0 idea who this woman is but im here to see an american try and make british food
It's hilarious to me how many "Brits" are claiming this looks Americanised. It's like they've never left their hometown. There are many regional variations of the dish. Just 'cause it's not what your mom made doesn't make it inaccurate. Your experience isn't the same as everyone else in the country. 🤦♀
as a chef thats been all over the uk i can confirm this is not a british roast
I agree, this was not quite like any Sunday roast I've ever had... It looked like a "Gastro-Pub" version of the concept, but I'd still have eaten it.
It doesn’t look British and we don’t say ‘mom’ lol so you probably wouldn’t know what a proper roast looked like…
@@bustersymes-lmfao. “chef”” lol
@@bustersymes-chef is a really rather subjective title. the guy serving up your mcdouble at mcDs calls himself a chef😂
Everyone always quick to rant on about British food being boring and too brown, until they take those first bites of a roast dinner lol.
bestie parsnips are beautiful n sweet, you trippin'!!
I'm so curious where she had her four roast dinners 😂
It's such a relief to see Josh back at work!
For every misogynist who clicks on this vid and leaves a negative comment, yalls hairlines recede back even further and your pockets go a little emptier 🙏🏻 Drew makes me laugh every time and I cant wait to read the book 🎉
Yucky, u just left a negative comment 😬
@@gabecastillo1634 if you're not a misogynist then you should have no worries 💖
She is a horrible person with nothing but hate in her heart
@@MusicLover22896 cope and seethe more, future single mom
@@SohamMehta-bg3ds is that meant to be an insult?
Drew is so powerful she can trigger misogynistic men by simply eating a meal
I don’t know this lady but she was being misandristic as hell the entire video. Couldn’t go a couple of minutes without mentioning abusing men.
@@YoskiRSmisandry doesn’t exist🤣
@@lucyx8212 neither does misogyny😂
@@SohamMehta-bg3ds why are you liking your own comments😳
Josh a British national I'll try a write a worded letter to the king for you to be covered by the NHS.
Josh drinks respects women juice, and I love watching it
is that a full sentence?
“✊Real pimps cry” 😭
@1:02 "Make all your food this" have you not seen British takeout videos?? They always have fries no matter what ethnic food 🤣💀💀
her parents raised an amazing kid if off rip she would defend and protect her sister like that (4:20) thats real love.
I sure would have loved a quick primer before the interview so I didn't have to come down here for context!
Josh has recovered from his butt boils!
Why the smaller plate? I thought that the first plate was the meal
clicked as soon as i saw drew
Great episode, as always!
The tangible consequence 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😅 oh my gob that was hilarious
Honestly top 5 dream collab of all time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sooooo when you bringing out the UK roast?
What kind of parsnips are you eating?! They are waay sweeter than carrots.
…onions? ON A SUNDAY ROAST? werk
You can put them under the meat so when it’s done you can use it in the gravy
Technically, the roast was on the onions
Brits learn about flavor challenge (impossible)
@@justdrop or person being xenophobic for fun . I don’t think most British people eat bland food anymore just like half the population
@@anniebell6846 Won't anyone think of Britain? :(
The British edit 🤣
I'd call parsnips the better carrot. Not British , i just live the peppery taste, and you get the sweetness when you roast them
The dog running
As a palagi who LOVES poly food i would GLADLY trade british roasts for taro and umu pork ANY DAY!! Tu fa'amaualuga, teine!!
I think the reason why the British food was so good this time around is Josh knows how to use seasoning. 🤣😭😂
we do as well💀
LETS GOOOOO🎉
Josh, quick question, why are you using a microfiber cloth as an oven mitt, you do know those things melt right?
Jeff did "The American Baking Competition" which was the first take on "The Great American Bake Off." Previously he hosted "Are You Smarter than a 5th Grader?"
I remember "Cutthroat Kitchen," the show was like "Chopped" meets "Munchkin the game" with the sabotages. One military veteran episode (the chefs were former military chefs) had an Army veteran do the Drill Sergeant bit with "Private Bob" (he couldn't touch or taste anything and had to direct Private Bob to do everything)
Parsnips a worse carrot?! Nah... Carrots are a worse parsnip.
The “less sweet” shocked me as well but I’ve also never had parsnips on my roast that weren’t honey roasted so maybe that’s why 😂
Josh! ❤
Lol 82k views. The people have spoken.
we LOVE drew in this house !!!
Beans on toast isn't top notch British cuisine it's British fast food it's something we eat when we don't have much time to cook or can't be bothered it's cheap also if you want to save money.
She’s lucky that Josh is cooking for her because she manage herself to cook and help him out with the dish
I'm hungry now
these comments are WILD! parsnips are most definitely part of my beef roast, YES to the roast onion, yes peas on the side, you guys are sippin' haterade
also to that one comment: who the HELL is eating pigs in a blanket with your roast? damn
I have no idea who this is
Great American Baking Show came back in 2022 on the Roku Channel with Zach Cherry (Severance) and Ellie Kemper (The Office) hosting.
As an American who’s eaten beans on toast you’re missing out.
I’m British and I hate beans on toast
Im a brit and I'm not a fan of beans on toast and there are too many peas in restaurants 😅😂
Idk who this is but the comments got me nervous
Sammmeeeeeeeee
She's a tik toker who "claps back" at men who talk down on women. And people don't like that shes outspoken apparent.

Good mythical morning!
The British cuisine is just meat, high salt carbs and beer hahah
All the Brits in the comments complaining that the cooking isnt accurate cause he uses seasoning
Average American when something isn't ultra processed, saltier than the black sea and drowning in oil
@@MrEsphoenix You didn't watch the video, did you ..
@@MrEsphoenix Tell me you don't understand seasoning without telling me...
@@hi_itslindsay "I'm American"
@@MrEsphoenixI suspect that you might not actually grasp what "seasoning" is
Drew being flawless on Mythical Kitchen? Not expected but much appreciated.
This looked like the most American version of a roast possible
Unfortunately so. I had high hopes but they were obliterated. One day an American will learn how to cook! :O
Well sure, he wanted it to taste good.
idk i live in the north and i think this is pretty accurate to what ive had
As an American that has never had an English pot roast, what's the difference? What should he have done different?
What makes it more authentic? Cooking technique? It was the flavor profile off?
Seeing so many comments as to why this is not a British roast, but can someone actually explain why instead of just complaining about it?
No pigs in blankets, boiled parsnips not roasted, no horseradish with the beef, no way near the best way to make roast potatoes - and then adds peas. It’s fine, it’s just not entirely traditional and he could have represented it better is all. I’m sure it tasted good!
I’ll be honest - a lot of British dishes like this or full English breakfasts where it’s just a ton of stuff on a plate varies a lot from family to family. Josh did fine! He could’ve done horseradish, he could’ve done pigs in blankets (mini sausages wrapped in bacon, only really essential for Christmas dinner tbh) he could’ve done more green veg like broccoli or courgette (zucchini). Some families do multiple types of potato - my mom started doing potato dauphinois a few years ago (like a gratin with thinly sliced potatoes and cream and cheese) but imo he had roast meat, Yorkshire pudding, roast potatoes and gravy with some veg and that’s a roast dinner!
that yorkie is the saddest looking thing i've ever seen... didn't rise NEARLY enough. Try resting the batter for a few hours next time.
