The fact that these videos are free to watch is insane if you think about it... People out here selling photography courses not even giving 20% of the quality you put out there.
One of your best videos so far, and hands down the best ASS video out there. Where was this 3 years ago when I started taking photos :) Very good explanation and charts. Ps: You should promto this video
Thank you and that is a really motivating statement, thank you Asiad. Ha the funny thing is that I've wanted to make this series for YEARS. As soon as I get this f-ing thumbnail figures out, I'll look into that
@@seandewispelaere keep making more of this awesome videos. I know how much work there is behind it. With the menus, text etc. they are amazing and I’m picking up a lot of knowledge. Actually I save many and go back to them when needed.
You are a flipping legemd mate 😢❤ i was looking for a video like this so desperately you save me. I would love for you to do a edition on how to setup a podcast using the sony zve10s as a camera if possible
Stoked to hear that and glad that I could help. I have a few videos on the list, but I’ll try and add that one in. In the meantime, Think Media has a good one that is similar and might have a few nuggets for ya: ruclips.net/video/tyo8sqHymqE/видео.html
Thanks, Mike Technically, yes: ruclips.net/video/7aLUb4CRD_Y/видео.html But to be honest. Some if my recent setup videos on the a6700 and the ZV E1 are a bit more up to date and 90% of the settings are transferable to the a7iv
I used to work as a portrait photographer....for many years. I learned that the shutter should be about the same as the focal length. Not for me!! I'm all there with double it! :D I often used studio strobes, then it's not that important. But again, great video. :)
This ^ I want a fourth ‘bonus’ studio cam angle for video podcasts that can be used also for run and gun teaser clips etc and can’t decide mainly due to the 🔥 risk
Just to clarify: 1. When doing video, I should keep the shutter speed 1/48 if doing a 24 fps 2. When doing photography, I should keep the shutter speed twice the size of lens focal distance? So if I have a lens of 30mm for APS-C camera, my shutter speed should be 1/60 minimally?
The benefit of product photography is that things aren't moving so you can actually get away with a lower shutter speed if necessary. Ideally, yes, use a tripod. Make sure you have plenty of light. I usually have the f-stop at least at 5.6 to make everything is in focus, ISO low around 160, then use the shutter to get exposure
A6700 ISO goes down to 25, should I keep it around 160~ rather than go all the way down to 25? and to confirm; shutter speed I have at 1/10, is that also overkill? @@seandewispelaere

I had to subscribe like & comment because you’re one of the few to make this super easy to understand
My dudeeee rocking with these videos 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼 do you have a video on how to setup a7iv ?
Thanks, Mike

Hey Sean, will you do a low light slog3 video?
Hey Karson, yes, it's on the list and I'll have it up in the next 5-10 videos

Awesome, Is shutter 2X the frame rate, or 2X the lens length?
delivering as always
Always appreciate seeing you in the comments 🎯
looks great, did you get the a7cii? how is it?
Hey Antony, I did yes and overall it is outstanding. A few misses on Sony's end, but it's solid. Videos coming to the channel very soon on it
great, whats it like vs the zve1?

Great stuff! my a6700 is displaying shutter speed as numbers and decimals (48.0-4098.4), not fractions. Is there a way to change this?
Thanks and yea go into your ANTI-FLICKER setting and turn that off 🤙

This is kind of basic for me. But it is one h*ll of a video! :)
so if I understand correctly; for product photography in a studio; put the camera on a tripod and go for the highest shutterspeed cause why not?
