Hi Sheila! It was lovely to see you working on your own. I have spent the morning organizing. I am not allowed to cast on anything new until I finish my WIPs. I did frog a few things, and I accidentally opened my bins to put away some yarn....my there is some lovely yarn in there! Lol...I've put the WIPs next to my knitting chair, so I have to look at them. Happy knitting!
Hi Sheila! Great tip on when to add in more yarn. I have tried both. The edge is better, for weaving in the ends. The pattern is beautiful! Thank you for doing the tutorial on this one. 😍🤗
Oh, Sheila! I so wish that I had watched this bit about joining before I muddled with different types of “joins” on a knitted mitered square throw I’ve been working on! I hate the knots, and it doesn’t matter how I make them-they’re still knots and make for a lumpy bit (actually several 🤦♀️) in my otherwise very soft and comfy alpaca yarn project. If I had simply changed my yarns at the end of a row, and woven the ends in, I would be much, much happier! Great advice!
Hi Sheila, your a good tutor Sheila! as most of the way I knit is thanks to your advice and tutorials. You have given me loads of tips and tricks to finish off garments like you 😍
Hi Shelia, i watch u on utube and love your knitting & banter. I would appreciate your help pls, I have knitted the back of the cardigan & ready for the shaping if the left front but got stuck: Shape Neck Next Row. Patt 22 ( 25 : 27 : 29) sts, turn and leave rem sts on a spare needle. Keeping patt correct, dec 1st at neck edge on next 3 rows, then 1st at same edge on foll 2 alt rows. 17 (20 : 22 : 24) sts Work 4 ( 4 : 6 : 8 ) rows straight. Cast off
Hi Sheila. Hope you are having a happy 2023 so far! Sorry to mither but you mentioned a video/tutorial on sewing up the completed garment. Any chance of clips of you stitching your latest make together? When it comes to sewing a garment up no matter how neat the knitting I'm sure I could sew up better than I do. So many opinions on the best way to do seams, sleeves etc. It would be really helpful to see one done in its entirety. Also do you block your finished garments? Thanks in advance lovely lady ❤️😊 Jan x

Thank you Sheila for the reply to my question about joining a new ball of wool the way you do, I can see how neat that will be.

I never block either and been knitting sixty odd years but usually knit in pieces on straight needles
Hi Sheila! Can you show us how to pick stitches up for front band
I agree with you, i also join at the beginning of a row.
Oh yes agree always join new wool at row ends. Exceptions of course like intarsia and fair Isle where it's unavoidable x
