I feel sorry for you Sheila. I'm the same with dark colours. Changing the subject, the phrase 'break or broke your duck' comes from cricket. If a Batsman gets out without scoring any runs they've made a 'duck' so by breaking a duck means you've been successful in your task. Hope that explains it

Sheila , do you end every row with a purl stitch? I started to make a fibbed vest for a 3mth old baby, the ribbing was fine until I had to cast off for the arm holes and the neck, can you please show how to do a neat job of it.

Sheila I retired from work at 57 as I’ve arthritis in both hands and it was a very physical job. I’m now 63 and get no benefits and my husband has been keeping me. I’m due to get pension in 2027 but there’s talk about raising pension age so I won’t get tit till 2028. They’re penalising pensioners left right and centre. Someone suggested paying you in gift cards. I think it’s a good idea. You could get vouchers for all the shops you visit. 😄

Oh those car parks can be such a pain! I've had the same experience. And I struggled with knitting black yarn as well! Had to correct 3 times, ripping dozens of stitches. Never again! So thanks for sharing, we are not alone!

You are right, Sheila, some drivers do not park considerately. It only takes a moment to check your parking, check you're not impeding someone else. It would have been nice if the blokes you spoke to offered to stand behind the car and help you out! Well done for managing yourself though.❤

Lovely bowls yes we re getting punished us oldies I had blue badge for fifteeen years then it wasn’t renewed I was told to reapply when 70 I did then said it was too late to appeal I am fizzing as I had a permanent bad back on on lots of pain meds so goin to try again it’s not the car park problem but I have had foot surgery and foot doesn’t bend and I can’t get in car if someone is parked too near but disabled spaces are bigger that’s my rant Sheila x
