Hi Sheila Chunky yarn is usually 12ply, love your phone pouches they would also be fantastic for crochet hooks, wish you had started making your yarn bowls earlier as I would have bought some unfortunately, I saw some about 2 months ago, and bought them they cost about £30 for 2 and they were made of thick string yours are by far better you have some great ideas love Julie xxxx
I ued 4.50mm hook and chained 81 working on 80sts, first row was double crochet uk terms, next and every row was miss 1st st, 2 dc into next st, miss 1 st 2dc next st repeat to last st 1 dc, 1 chain turn and repeat same for every row must be an even number..crochet till it measures 4" then i changed to white and double crochet all around 3 dc in each corner.. hope that is easy to understand..
