      Get the maize bread from Barren Light. It increases evader which is incredibly helpful when you're new to Forbidden West. Especially with food+ skills to increase the duration.
      If you want a elemental clawstrider early that can be fixed for cheap. Complete cauldron Iota. Unlock at least one efficient repair skill. Buy Spikestalk Shells from any Desert Tenakth settlement for 15 shards and a few ingredients. Now you can fully repair your pet clawstrider for 15 shards instead of 100+ to 1000+. Just something you can do before you can get efficient repair +2 on the Tenakth Dragoon.

    One awesome hidden machine spot is next to the graypeak survey drone. Already marked are the thunderjaw and slaughterspine but right below the survey drone icon is an area with a stormbird and a dreadwing next to each other.
    So you can basically fight 4 of the stongest machines back to back lol.
    And yes, they can all be apex machines at the same time.

      Yeah, I would be absolutely SHOCKED if we don't have the ability to cook up food at our shelters in H3. Kinda surprised they didn't add it in this one tbh, but I think that would definitely help people use food more. Especially considering storage space for potions ands and food is limited.
      And yeah I"d love to see more drones in H3! Having a smaller drone that you could deploy almost like a little sidekick is an interesting idea for sure.

    The Salt-bite TJ is unusual in that it follows "small-medium machine apex spawn rules", which some heavyweight machine species like the TJ never do (they will always spawn as regular variants during the day, and not the 60% daytime apex spawnrate the guidebook says they should have once youve killed enough).
    but yeah plenty of unmarked machine sites. famous one being the place in the mountains with a dreadwing + stormbird. There also a couple of unmarked shellsnappers, one near the snapmaw site south of the greenhouse, and one near a metal flower southeast of the Landfall Tallneck. And 2 unmarked slaughterspines in Isle of spires, one on the beach east of the stormbird site, and one on the plaza in the centre of isle of spires by the watcher site. And a swimming tideripper out to sea near Landfall, circling the ruins of the san fran ferry terminal.
    There is also a unmarked site northeast of Thornmarsh/southwest of Raintrace Rise, just above the marked fireclaw site, that frequently spawns fireclaws. most often it spawns 1 fireclaw with fanghorns. but sometimes spawns 1 fireclaw with 3 acid clawstriders, a pretty tough combo. and other times just acid clawstriders or fanghorns. On rare occassions, it can spawn 2 fireclaws, probably the hardest fight ive had in the game. So those are the unmarked heavyweights i know of.
    Then theres tons of small and medium machine sites. Most intense are the ones in the Raintrace. Tons of clamberjaws with bellowbacks, stalkers, watchers, elemental clawstriders, pigs. Probably my most populated single fights have been there. In some of those sites, clamberjaws can summon other clamberjaws after making kills, and you end up fighting up to double of the clamberjaws present initially. and some of the machines (bellowbacks, stalkers) have antennas for other summons. In one place, my final tally after a fight was 8 clamberjaws, 3 bellowbacks, a stalker and a watcher, all apex since it was night. the Raintrace North Rebel outpost, after its been cleared, also spawns a prettty numerous and tough combo of machines. Raintrace in general is just crawling with machines. never be lacking for action if you take a stroll anywhere between Lowlands Paths and follow the river down past Falls Edge or the Hunting Grounds.
    On a plateau in the Bulwark region it can spawn an assortment of machines, quite frequently its 2 scorchers and a frostclaw, sometimes with sunwings. The "Bulwark valley" is pretty populated in general, especially its eastern and western ends.
    Cliffs of the cry is also a hotspot for unmarked machine sites. Can even spawn 2 behemoths, often accompanied by small or medium machines (like watchers, clawstriders, clamberjaws, widemaws...).
    Too many to count really. Lately i got to fight 4 apex ravagers northeast of Scalding Spear. there were 2 to begin with, but both had antenna and summoned a ravager each. and the other day i got punked by 2 apex ravagers and 2 apex snapmaws southwest of salt-bite.

      this is the best list of hidden machine sites I've seen anywhere! Definitely need to check some of these out. Really curious about those Shellsnapper sites. I'll be checking those ones out later today. And uhhh, yeah.. a spot that spawns 2 Fireclaws... I'm gonna go ahead and stay way far away from there. 😅

    I enjoy watching tips videos like this one. I appreciate the information you give out to us. Keep up the great work.
    I would like to mention that the official strategy guide mentions that jumping into water from a high elevation makes Aloy sink a bit which causes a delay before you gain control of her again. Swan diving prevents that and makes her quieter too, making it less likely for Aloy to alert nearby enemies. Swan diving is one of those mechanics that isn't solely for making Aloy look awesome.

    You can also fix Canisters onto Tree and some other Stuff...same goes for the Tripwires!
    Canisters Explosion Radius (on machines/ground or from the canister ropecaster) is 8m with Regular Ammo, and 16m with Advanced Ammo. So if you want to use them as a trap...well explains itself.
    Also those charges were pretty docile when firng that Canister, usually it make some enemies suspicous around it, ruing the setup, more so if you want to keep you stealth.

    Honestly, Shock doesn't last long enough to be very useful when you're flying on a mount, have to dismount & get urself ready to fire, etc. Not to mention doesn't it alert all enemies to your presence? I find it much more effective to just go in stealthily like I normally would. I think there's a reason why ppl aren't using said EMP bombs.
    I feel Shock should last longer in general as I don't find myself using it often due to it's short duration. It should work more like how Tiedown ropes do imo, with it's length degraded with attacks.

  • @skins4thewin
    @skins4thewin 2 месяца назад

    Lol dropping the EMP on that Dreadwing vs actually getting the drop on it while its unaware would be.... Tactically unsound lol. Specially wasting time doing a barrel roll too 😅

  • @skins4thewin

    You can fill up your valor an equivalent amount as the EMP drop from literally just one Silent Strike if your skills are maxed appropriately. This would be a really slow way to fill up Valor.

    One thing I haven’t seen mentioned very much is that each machine has a specific part you can knock off that has a chance to contain a high value part like a Circulator or Primary Nerve. (In addition to the chance when the machine is killed) Like the Slaughterspines have containers at the base of their tail that each have a chance to contain a circulator, for the dreadwing the containers are under the wings. My major question is why the hell does the Thunderjaw have antenna in the notebook, but I’ve never seen one with antenna in the wild? The thunderjaw antenna is where you have a chance to get a thunderjaw primary nerve, but so far I’ve never seen one with an antenna to knock off.
    (Regardless of difficulty but especially on ultra hard or very hard it’s worth taking the few extra shots to knock off those parts to potentially get 2 circulators or 2 primary nerves per kill from some of the tougher machines, you’ll need lots of parts to upgrade legendary gear)

    • @chazmatazzgames
      @chazmatazzgames  3 месяца назад

      this is really cool! i'll have to check it out myself. I know some machines like Tremortusks have ammo drums, which usually have some decent loot in them, but I'll have to look into this more for sure.
      And yeah, upgrading legendary gear can definitely be a grind. Anything that can be done to make it slightly easier is always good advice.

    • @nerdoutreachprogram5358

      @@chazmatazzgames look in the hunters guide, or notebook, whatever it’s called that shows the list of all scanned machines. Select a large machine, and then look at the components that can be torn off one by one (hover your cursor over them on pc), and it’ll give you a list of the loot that has a chance to be in each piece - as I mentioned, the slaughterspine has “capacitor capsules” one on each side of the base of the tail, and each one has like, a 10% chance to drop an extra Circulator. I believe most machines have this feature, a part or parts that give you a chance to receive an extra piece of rare-ish loot, but I haven’t checked all of the smaller machines yet.

    • @nerdoutreachprogram5358
      @nerdoutreachprogram5358 3 месяца назад

      @@chazmatazzgames for the Dreadwing the part is called “resource container” I believe, and it’s under the wings so you have to get it when the machine is hovering. Elemental shredders and tear shredders are fantastic for knocking parts off, especially with Ancestors Return. Each hit does outstanding tear damage and AOE tear and the final explosion does a tremendous amount of Tear in a large radius, so for those hard to hit parts on highly agile machines the shredders are amazing cause you don’t have to have perfect aim.

      so it's a little confusing (at least the game doesn't really explain it all that well), but Component Tear coils deal tear directly to the components themselves. Whereas regular tear coils deal tear to components _and_ armor plates. Component tear is ineffective against armor plates.
      If you're looking to farm, really either will work, but I'd probably go with the component tear coils

      😬 unfortunately there’s not a way to farm elite critical hits coils (at least as far as I know). You can only get one per playthrough at the merchant in The Burning Shores. You can use the duplication glitch though to duplicate your inventory which would essentially give you an unlimited number of any coils

    • @skins4thewin
      @skins4thewin 2 месяца назад

      No, you have to play the game multiple times. Although I guess you probably wouldn't mind cheating in which case there is a new Duplication glitch that was found not long ago. Search for it on either Google or RUclips.
      I personally hate Glitches & never use them. I prefer to play as the game was intended.
