Here is an in-depth review of the new Les Beiges Water-Fresh Tint from CHANEL. I have really enjoyed using this over the past few days, especially as a primer before foundation. It is an incredible light-weight formula that suits all skin types. I know you did this ages ago, but I just purchased, so I watched with interest. I love this for every day, over skin care, at home wear. My husband said my skin looked really good - which he never comments on. I have mature skin. I was lucky enough to get it at the boutique in Paris. The salesperson seemed surprised I wanted to try it... she quickly recovered, helped me find my shade, put a drop on her hand & used her fingers to blend it. Since that's how I saw it applied, I basically copied her. I put 2 pumps in my palm, rub them together and pat on my face til smooth. I do my lids, under eyes, everything. Lasts beautifully. Not drying. You CAN apply over "tired" makeup to refresh. The other day my crows feet seemed pronounced so I put a tiny drop on my pointer finger, tapped with the other one to blend & dabbed over the area. It instantly looked better. You are gorgeous & I love your videos. Usually just leave a thumbs up, but had to comment on this. Watched another video you did on this & look forward to trying it as a primer!

Can you do a no makeup look with the water tint? I’d like a gym or yoga look that makes me look pretty and put together but not overdone as I feel judged for wearing makeup to work out!

Great information. We will be getting this in Canada next week and I can’t wait. I already have asked them to set aside the eye palette, the powder in 10 and the face tint in medium light. I will pass on the balm, and I may get a darker powder for bronzing. This eye palette is definitely in my wheel house all the colours that I wear daily. Chanel had a 5 colour natural palette about 5 years ago and it may have been the one and only palette that I hit pan on in every shade. It was stunning.

this is my favorite Chanel product. This evens out my skin tone and is so lightweight and gorgeous. love this.
I got a sample today in the color medium plus (Chanel fresh tint). I can’t say enough about this product. This stuff is incredible. I’m 45 years old en this made me look 10 years younger. In my opinion a little bit does go a long way. I will buy the full size tomorrow immediateley and I hope Chanel will never discontinue this product. Happy greetz from the Netherlands!😘

I adore this stuff! I never wear foundation, being blessed with excellent skin. I wasn’t going to get this until I watched a European vlogger who has similar skin. This is just enough to brighten my undereye area so I don’t have a line of demarcation to my cheeks. It adds the perfect amount of moisture & doesn’t aggravate my sensitive skin. Takes my skin from excellent to flawless without adding, if that makes sense. I get to keep my own color. If you didn’t see the slight difference from before as I put it on, you’d never realize I was wearing anything. LOVE!

The new foundation has 75% water!! I love it! It's the perfect daily foundation If you are looking for a lightweight texture!!
I used this throughout the summer ... it was lovely and cooling but way too sheer to use as a foundation. Absolutely loved it as a primer ❤️ xx

Hi Erin, I just bought it and I love it! I hesitated at first but then I saw this video and I went and bought it at saks, it’s fast and easy very light but leaves the face looking healthy, I moisturize with my LE LIFT creame then I put this on and it’s amazing, thank you for such amazing reviews it truly helps to decide to purchase. 😍

I’m so excited to start using this foundation 😆 I hardly use foundation during summer time bc it’s so hot, so I hoping to use this mainly during summer time 😊 however, im going to try it as a primer 😊

Thank you for the in-depth review! I was using this as my foundation and didn't realize so many people use it as primer. I don't really have any skin issues except it's so dry and I genuinely hate the feeling of most foundations on my face so it was nice to find something that feels good for once haha. I might have to try this as a primer for special occasions when I feel more comfortable with more coverage though!

Thank you Erin for this lovely in depth review of the water fresh tint. I’ve been looking so hard for more reviews on this. You gave me so much more helpfull information, especially when you compared it next to the other foundations applied on your skin. Now I have a much better idea of how this product would look on my own skin. I think this would be great for the summermonths with some sunscreen underneath it. 😘

Thanks for the great review! I love Chanel and use many of their products like the creme bronzer and the Vitalumiere Foundation but thie water fresh tint seems like an unnecessary product. A good tinted moisturizer would do the same thing, not to mention there are many good CC and BB cremes on the market. Always appreciate your in depth reviews 🙂💛
I think you're right, it's certainly not necessary for most people... The gel texture and natural skin look is really pretty but only if you're looking for that specifically :) xx

Hi Erin, your make up looks amazing in this video! Can you do a couple of tutorials on the les Beiges palette? I bought it but I need ideas on some looks:) I really like the les Beiges teint- I find that I can get slightly more coverage with 2 layers and the Chanel powder- I tried putting on the tint today without the brush and it really adds coverage mixed in my fingertips before applying- thanks for sharing your experience

Your thoroughness and product comparisons are appreciated! How would you recommend wearing sunscreen separately from the Water-Fresh Tint ---- apply sunscreen first and then the Water-Fresh Tint or vice versa?

THE CHANEL EYES COLLECTION QUADS + COORDINATING LINERS ARE ALREADY OUT!!! ON THE CHANEL WEBSITE. OMG. not even cruise Lumiere et contraste is out, but these eye quads are! You have to go into eye shadows and press the quad and go open the selection, they are all at the very bottom!
This is crazy, because there has been barely any information leaked out about on instagram or any platform, especially relative to Cruise collection, and it's already out!

I'm very late to this video, but I really enjoyed your attention to detail with the comparisons. Thank you! One quick question: do you feel that the Vitalumiere Aqua Ultra-Light coverage is comparable to that of the CC Cream? The Water-Fresh Tint intrigues me, but I'm thinking that if it's barely noticeable once applied, it might not even be necessary(?). I do not like anything heavy-feeling on the skin -- the less aware of it I am, the better!

Yes! It definitely gives great radiance :) but it looks like your skin is just naturally that radiant... I think I’ll use it up this summer :) xx

Hi Erin. I’m catching up here. Obsessed with your videos 🙌🏼 this one is one of the best and thank you so much for this thorough comparison. I live to try the Chanel CC cream and this new one, water fresh I guess it’s gonna help me a lot since I don’t have enough time in the morning, getting up 5-5:30 am, to apply foundation, so this would help me just to give a nice glow. BTW I also use Chanel illuminating base for years. It’s the best. Thank you dear 🙏❤️❤️😘😘

I think this time looks sooo natural. I absolutely love it. In my opinion, the perfect amount of coverage. I can't tell that I have anything on my skin. Got the shade medium light... Is it me or is "medium" lighter than "medium light"?

I am really enjoying this product. I use it alone and underneath the Tom Ford foundation. What is your suggestion for cleaning the brush?

As a 50 something woman with decent but dry skin, I can fully appreciate this product as a weekend type of product when don’t need full coverage but still want a bit of blur and glow. However, I never leave the house without sunscreen. Miss Erin, is there a sunscreen, Chanel or other, you would suggest that might go well with this product?
That’s a great question! And even better that you always wear spf! I need to play around with it... I imagine the UV essential from Chanel would be nice because it’s so thin but I honestly haven’t worn them together yet :)

Erin, is the waterfresh tint a good primer? I need more than it for coverage. I love the Ultra Le Teint. I cannot use the BB cream as a primer as it burns me. The L’Or also burns me. Helena

How does this compare with the glossier skin tint? (If you’ve tried it!)
Is the CC cream a lot heavier feeling than the tinted moisturizer? I love the tinted moisturizer the most but it doesn't give quite enough coverage.
The old CC cream formula would have felt heavier but the new Cc cream has coverage with a lightweight texture, especially when compared to the tinted moisturizer! Xx
Hi Erin. I used the old Chanel cc cream and previous version of the long wear foundation. As I ran out I bought the new versions. Both look pretty but burn my skin. My skin feels hot and burny. When I take my makeup off I have raised red patches. Any idea what could be causing it? Helena
Oh no that’s terrible! I’m not sure... it could be the product to but it could also be your skin. Our bodies change all the time and you might have become sensitive to something that previously didn’t bother you. I would wait until your skin returns to normal and then maybe try again on a small area of the face or neck to test if you get the same reaction :/ or don’t. If it burns, I would stay far away!

That would be great.
Wouldn’t it has been much cheaper and easier just to put the pigment in the gel where it than already would have been mixed instead of inventing these small bubbles that contain the pigment but have to be destroyed by using a brush (you have to pay for every time you would by more of the water fresh tint)
I know with the hydra beauty serum the purpose of the camellia oil droplets is to make sure they hit the skin in the purest form... I’m not sure why they wanted the pigments to do the same, but it does look nicer and give an overall more luxurious impression... but I see your point too!

It would really depend on how oily you are... if you’re just slightly oily you would probably be fine. If you struggle with oil and need products with oil control (mattifying primers and powders) you would probably not love it. If possible I would try a sample if you have a Chanel counter nearby :) xx
