Something that basically all pre-elite blasters had is a really comfortable grip, my Maverick is so smooth and satisfying to hold that makes the disruptor and Strongarm feel like a brick
With nstrike attachment interchangeability, I think this is better viewed as "a pistol bundled with an attachment pack" than as a "primary". Then the fact that it can use attachments is just "fun tactics" rather than a negative. Of course from that framing you have to buy the bundle even if you only want the blaster or the attachments, one of the two attachments is essentially worthless, and outside of the tactics the blaster is objectively worse than its direct competition.
Mine was a Magstrike when I was about 7 or 8. Now I have the Rayvenfire, Crossbolt, Recon CQ-12, Air Warriors Tactical Storm, Dart Zone Cornerfire, Nerf Doomlands Desolator and Longarm, Zuru X Shot Regenerator, Rival Helios, & Modulus Mediator. Plus an AlphaHawk.
The spectre was actually the first nerf gun I got. I won my first game with it, and I had it for a year or two and then gave it to my cousin when he started. When this icon version came out I bought it and it’s on display in my room right now. This was nerfs only good decision for a while. It’s like it was made just for me.
I’m selling my whole collection since I’ve gone out of them, sad to see the nerf brand going under like this with the elite 2.0 I love the icons though
Kinda weird to think we used to run with stuff like this... It always surprises me a little to see how much this hobby has come on, at least until this year which has been one massive fall backwards in terms of quality :P
Well in Nerf yes, but where Nerf went backwards, dart zone and Adventure Force stepped up. We got the Spectrum, Aeon Pro, and the Max Stryker. All pretty awesome blasters that hit 100+ fps right out of the box!
I actually have two of these; the original yellow one and the blue Elite one. It's a really nice pistol. Plus, the folding stock is sweet on various blasters.
If Nerf updated the Spectre, these are my wishes, make the stock more rigid in strength while maintaining its folding ability and make it shoot at least 70 fps, then it will be a Strongarm with more tactics but it can still fit it in a holster unlike the Elite 2.0 Commander
@@poundlandspeedwagonrequiem you definitely don't need one but hasbro wants to sell as many as they can, and the suppressor attachment is the only real reason to buy it lol
i just bought this blaster today because i had the origional when i was young and loved it. this brought back some much needed happieness in having my baby back. i even beat my friend 2 to 1 in a nerf battle with it a couple hours ago. the pure joy and happieness this gave me (a 17 year old man) was much needed.
Coop can you please do a nerf combos vid on one of the elite 2.0 blasters? Since the elite 2.0 series blasters have all of the tacti-cool goodness you could ever wish for
the way i found you was when i was looking up tanks and i saw your original terrascout video. that was about 3 years ago so even though i was 9 then so now im twelve and still in love with nerf and your channel. anyway that was writing for the day btw hello.
I think the Specter mock suppressor is the best barrel Nerf ever made. Painted anything but the annoying yellow and it looks sick. Looks good on just about every nerf gun in existence. That’s the only reason I’d buy it.
Hey coop! love the vids. You talked about the spectre barrel being less performance damaging. What about doing a video on things that damage performance? Things you could do includes putting on different barrels inch of barrel added leaving a gun primed over night or longer to see the performance effect New stiff nerf darts vs older worn nerf darts while aiming and walking like John Wick
A Blaster that I would really like to see in this series is the Barrel Break. Fun and gimmicky. When it gets a relatively good performance, I'd buy it.
I think they should have released the Icon Series way before Elite 2.0. Think about it, release some classic blasters that are actually functional as a final goodbye to the “current” elite line and N Strike series’, then once they peaked in sales, get rid of the icon series and Elite series and get them off shelves, then roll out the Elite 2.0.
Though it doesn't perform too well, I'm definetly going to pick one up solely for the fact that it's a blaster with a flip-out barrel and attachment space. Love that stuff.
Man yours is so much cooler than mine mine looks like some one gave a five year old a paint brush in the factory because my paint job is terrible yours is really clean. Also my darts got cut at the bottom at an angle.
My only hope for the Icon series is a Vulcan. I was getting into Nerf right after it and I always wanted one but never got a hand on one. Fingers crossed lol
Hi coop just wanted to say that I think white modulus darts are really easy to see maybe u could try those I have a pretty crap camera tho but just a suggestion. P.s. what’s ur tacticool level present day
The Spectre was my first blaster (at least that I still have), and it holds a space near and dear to my heart... but it was also on shelves as recently as last year. You can't "reissue" something you're still making!
That Nerf Icon Specter’s folding stock is less flimsy than Hasbro’s decisions for the Nerf 2.0 line.
And also... well, the Elite 2.0 line in general. Look at the warden.
Haha 😂
Great comment. I love this.

Not just the 2.0 but all the newer nerd blasters too
Nerf then: Pumping out high quality, original blasters whilst dominating the market.
Nerf now: Hey, you remember the Spectre?

I wish i could go back to when it was Nerf or nothing, such a shame that there's like one good original blaster that they release every season

Nerf Blasters now are better than the ones 10 years ago. But then again, so are the other brands.
Nerf still Dominates Rival, but in the dart scene they have lost their touch.

Hasbro should just sell the Spectre’s barrel by itself, since it’s one of the most sleekest “suppressor”-looking barrel I’ve seen so far.
