      going to joke first -- before applying, be sure you can use a search engine on your browser lol. Ok now lets give a search result
      duckduckgo.com/?q=jobs+for+Software+Engineers+in+Toronto&t=brave&ia=web
      I prefer goducky as you can see and you can also see the parameters I used to give the results that you can try out.
      You could do this for other major cities. Maybe even try "software engineering companies in Canada" then check out their contact info, create a file of the places you want to apply to and keep track of who and when you wrote and responses etc. Best of luck.

    I am Canadian, I worked very hard to obtain my home, I now own an estate property backed onto a golf course and forest, it's been quite a journey, nothing came easy. If your willing to do what it takes you can own one too. I didn't have a big salary, I started by buying a small home then selling that, making a profit then buying bigger, then doing to again till I went from a 1100 square foot home to a 3,000 square foot home. Not all people that own big homes are rich, we most certainly are not, we just took the time to sell high in real estate booms and buy low somewhere else giving us more equity with each time.

Show them the big cities.

      Compared to the Seattle area, these houses are fairly inexpensive. High end of the range he gave was $800K Canadian ≈ $615K American, and for that price in the Seattle area, you'd be lucky to find a place with half of the square footage.

    • @phlotographer
      @phlotographer 3 года назад

      @@jandp2941 nope -- that is how most of the people live because there are not the type of homes/trailer parks for living like in the US. If you live in a major city, the price goes up and in Vancouver, Toronto, Calgary & Edmonton and much of Mississauga the prices can be a lot more for the same and often much less home. Downtown Toronto, where the really old homes exist very modest semi detached homes can easily run $1.2 million while in the suburbs a home like was shown but obviously very much nicer would be in the same range. It is too bad that when he came across a For Sale sign he did not take down the address and then use www.realtor.ca put in the address and then view the home photos, room info, price etc and posted it in the description above comments. However, anyone that wants to see homes of various prices can just choose a town or city and go to the website and fill in purchase prices high and low and other parameters desired and look to your hearts content. In the cities, check out the Condos and prices and whether you want water views, etc. Have fun. You can search by known locations as long as you have the address and the city/town or simply work with price and choose a town which often will give more locations in an adjoining area.

    In 2005 I wrote a (somewhat) famous article called 'Top 8 reasons not to immigrate to Canada'. I was ahead of my time. The government essentially made me unemployable in the country. So I left and worked in the United States until 2014. I now permanently live in the Philippines. I would never go back to Canada for any reason: not to live, not to visit, not even a connecting flight. In the last ten (10) years Canada has gone completely down the drain and is currently a North Korea style dictatorship. No freedom, too expensive, very high income tax . . . too depressing. I am happy here in Asia, with much friendlier people.

    • @Militant_Vegan
      @Militant_Vegan 2 года назад +3

      As a Canadian unfortunately I back this up. Don’t get me wrong Canada is great.. just not if ur an immigrant. I know way too many immigrants with the same problem. They just want to work and give back to the country, but for whatever stupid reason it’s always a struggle for them. Then because they can’t make money (because they can’t work) they end up having to leave. It’s really sad that they have to go through that it honestly pisses me off. I know a doctor and his family that are trying to work. This guy is a DOCTOR and we are in NEED of doctors. He just wants to bring service to the country and feed his family, and he’s been wanting to for years. It’s ridiculous. I wouldn’t compare it to North Korea tho cuz it’s not that bad lol, but it definitely could do better.

      Well, of course, it's nowhere near half, unless you happen to be making close to a million a year. My taxes go to making sure the roads are paved and clean, I can go to a doctor if I need one, my kids can get decent schooling, I can go on EI if I lose my job. It helps out my fellow citizens and maybe gives some of them a better quality of life. And yes, some of it goes to foreign aid. I don't begrudge any of those things and I gladly pay my taxes. The "I'm all right Jack and f--- you" mentality can stay in the States. I'm not that selfish.

      @@6JCD SMALL town, that was the key word there. Uxbridge of course is a town, but it certainly doesn’t have that ‘small town’ kind of feel or appearance. I’m sure it does feel that way compared to cities like Toronto, Richmond Hill as previously stated or Hamilton, but by no means is it a sleepy little rustic kind of town. Then again I’ve always been more of a country guy
