- United States Navy submarine tender USS Frank Cable visited HMAS Stirling in Western Australia for a scheduled port visit as part of the ship's routine operational patrols in the Indo-Pacific region.
US Navy personnel from the ship met up with Royal Australian Navy personnel at HMAS Stirling to further strength the US-Australia bilateral relationship, before stepping ashore for their third batch of liberty in Australia, after previously visiting Brisbane and Sydney.

i remember port call in perth in the 80s. what a wonderful people. it was the only place ive ever went on liberty where i wore my uniform even if i didnt have to. we Marines could not buy our own drink and often restaurants treated us like kings. such fond memories of Australia.
Welcome to Australia. Hope you have a great time here. And also thank you for your service.
Welcome ashore and hope you all have a great time here 🙂
Welcome our brothers
Always great to see friends and allies.
welcome ashore
I hope they get a break after their work helping us with the floods on the East coast.
The military forces of the United States are always welcome in Australia. Never forget that the US Forces came to Australia’s aid during WW2 when Australia previously experienced aggression from Asia, just as we are at the moment.
Tell me there's hunter-killer submarines in the area without telling me.
haha yes!
I mean sure Perth is miles up The Swan river.
The port is the city of Fremantle. Always has been always will be. A totally seperate place.
The city of Fremantle is part of perth metro.... wouldn't exactly call it a totally separate place
@@fishchief8257 As far as being a port is concerned, It certainly is a different place.
Perth has no port facilities. If the USS Frank Cable sailed up The Swan and miraculously got under The Narrows Bridge and docked at Elizabeth Quay . . . Then it's visited Perth .
if they're docked at HMAS Stirling then that's at Garden Island which is about 5 kilometers off the coast of Rockingham (which is about a 40 minute drive south of Perth)
@@DaveWhoa they were in Freo
Gloria. Please give to Michael. I don’t have his iPhone # Thanks.
Perth/Rockingham - it's all the same
The crews look pretty much the same…
