My car started just fine, without re-programming it, however when its time to take the emission you will need to Re-write/Re-program so that your V.I.N. will match. This way will give you time to save money for the service

Mine is stuck on I’ve reset it with an obd scanner and it still won’t turn off and it’s stopping my car from starting because I just changed the camshaft position sensor and in order for it to start I need code to go away so I was thinking about swapping my computer out. And yes I’ve tried disconnecting the battery for 15 min and blowing the horn and head lights, I’ve even pulled out the fuse it still doesn’t reset. Today I’m going to try to unplug the computer and see what that does though. Thank you and let me know if it made the check engine light go away
I swap my computer because the lights on the dash were going crazy & the car was riding funny, Pull your code, one thing I noticed about this car is you can buy an aftermarket sensor even if it says oem & the C.E.L stays on I had to go to the junkyard & get the original used sensor it was used but my light went out.
I changed that sensor before mines wouldn't start had to put the original one back in, let me know if you get it working, sorry if I missed anything I'm replying to alot of comments

Im not 100% sure, but it sure sounds like a computer issue. I had a Check Engine light, low fuel light, abs & my miles per hour went crazy & changing the conputer fixed it.

Hello Family, The Ecu is for the Engine & The Tcu is the Trans, they are different, I'm not 100% sure where the Tcu is located I believe on the inside driver side near the brake pedal. I am out of town at the moment so I can't have a look sorry. Did you change the solenoid? That usually be the problem and another thing, the parts have to be original parts off ebay/Amazon don't clear the code. Hcruz487 I had a False check engine light, mph kept going up & down, Fuel needle kept going from F to E. Thats when i decided to change it. But there are alot more reason to cause your ecm to fail.
what you replace ecu ......you do good job but you need to tell people need to write vin number on new ecu because vehicle will not start just swap the ecu...

I have a 07 elantra crank but wont start did your have the same problem?
Every light on my dash cut on, mphs went up & down, few days later, crank no start.

How do you determine if the ecu is the issue?
My mphs were going up & down, Check engine light, than eventually crank no start. The scanners couldnt pull any codes. (Thats my story)

Hello Ahmed, 2007-2010 looks exactly the same, but i highly recommend you getting that number off of the ecm & search it that way. Or use your V.I.N.
The reason i say that because some looked like mines but the numbers didn't match & if it don't match it may not work
